Overall, it has become an important part of keeping our daily work efficient and on track. **What do you dislike about Karbon?** Karbon is a great platform overall, but there are a few areas that could be improved. I would like to see faster performance in some parts of the application, along with more customization options for workflows and dashboards. The client portal also has some holes that are preventing us from using it - namely, the fact that you can not link it to a family grouping. Being able to link emails to client timelines so the team can easily reference them, will save time and effort and help keep everyone in the loop. In addition being able to assign tasks to team members with commenting and then see the status of completion will also be a huge time saver! **What do you dislike about Karbon?** There are two challenges I’ve noticed so far with Karbon. First, we aren’t able to delete spam or garbage emails from triage, so they don’t clutter the cleared email bin. I receive at least 100 emails a day that I delete from Outlook as spam or junk, and I’d like to be able to remove those in Karbon as well. Second, we can’t roll back a task completion step to a prior step, including having the automators roll back the related work and task changes after an accidental or incorrect task completion. This will create some challenges in keeping the workflow properly aligned. **What problems is Karbon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Karbon, managing everything from large projects to smaller day-to-day work tasks was a very manual process for us. If I could pin an email to a client where I could easily find it forever, that would be useful. I also wish that I could search emails and filter it to "sent" ones only. The ability to communicate with my fellow employees, my boss, and clients in one place is super handy. I like that the chatting area feels familiar, like a text chat or MSN. The feature where I can tag specific people in my comments and choose to share with the team, or just one person, or chat with an external client is great. It avoids the need to bounce between other forms of communication like email or phone, and back to Karbon. As an admin at an accounting firm, it's incredibly useful to finish a task and pass it to the next person seamlessly by tagging them. It's also very helpful to tag specific people when I have questions, directing them to the right person who might know the answer. **What do you dislike about Karbon?** I don't like having to click the blue button to refresh or see my new triage. I wish that would just come up when I click triage. I also wish I could move the window that pops up when I am saving something to a timeline or contact. My memory isn't great so I find myself clicking that button but forgetting the job or the company I am saving to. Because I cannot move that window, I just have to close it, re-read the info, and click it again. If I could move it over, up, or down, I can read the info behind it while saving at the same time. The automation feature is one of the best things about Karbon as it takes a lot of manual work out of assigning tasks to different people. I also appreciate how tasks can consistently be assigned to the same team member each year, and the way it passes tasks between staff members as the work progresses is really good. Additionally, the onboarding team, especially Aaron, was fantastic during the setup, making our experience as seamless as it could have been given our practice size. **What do you dislike about Karbon?** The client interface in Karbon is probably its downfall. Clients have to tick a box to manage the checklist, which they find to be their biggest pain point as it's not intuitive or user-friendly. Emails are turned into actionable items that can be collobarated on with other team members. For work/job items, there is an array of features that ensure workflow management and completion is as efficient as possible. There are procedure checklists for template work/job. Timelines for notes/communication for not only clients but the work/job as well. Recurring feature is great too. The daily to-do list sets the tone from the get go and being able to easily manage it across team members makes things simple for managers. Support is fantastic and has always been able to help. Finally, KarbonHQ are always working to improve the software with little feature adds. I feel that this is a basic functionality and has been around for a long time. It is difficult to replace a team member who left. We found that we thought we should be able to just map that role to a new person, but sometime the roles were mixed up. I wish Karbon listed the role for each job and then assigned a person rather than assigning people to the role. It's easier to read than sifting through an email chain. If a team member is unexpectedly out for the day, another team member can easily jump in and look at the timeline to get some background on the client without having to pull anyone else in. We switched from using only Outlook to Karbon to allow any team member to be able to see all communication and handle someone else's work when necessary. Karbon has resolved this for me - I am now able to organise my work day, week, months and even create recurring work that I need to go through and complete on regular basis. When a colleague was away and I needed to help their clients with a query, I wasn't sure where to start and this often created confusion not only for me but also amongst my team. We also got a great walkthrough to better understand how the features work in Karbon and it's been extremely helpful to track projects and make sure that we are on target for our busy season deadlines. **What do you dislike about Karbon?** Clients being able to access their documents and file when we send requests out. It's improved since we started to use Karbon. But, it can still use some improvement. **What problems is Karbon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Karbon is helpful with tracking efficiency and it's easy to setup budgets and review actual time entered for projects. It's also great there is a timer feature for tracking time. It's easy to know what jobs we are working on. When they are due and if we are going under or over budget with the time put into projects. We've been able to better track projects through our deadlines and it's quite easy to update on the status of projects and track based on tasks completed from staff where we stand. ### 47.
