The To Do list is my best friend. It helps to organize my life and saves so much time not having to hand write notes of what I need to do. Organizing/tagging emails by client helps me visually segregate tasks for each client. Having email threads clumped together also is such a time saver not having to go back to each email to search for attachments, and also helps you to respond to the most recent email on the thread (before I would work backwards in my outlook and respond to emails that already had responses but I hadn't gotten that far in my emails to see- this is no longer an issue with Karbon!) My outlook calendar is now integrated, but it doesn't pop up alerts/reminders so I still rely on that portion of my outlook calendar.
Searching for emails isn't always the easiest if you don't know the exact subject line, so I rely on my outlook Archive folder still to seach emails better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The upside of using Karbon would be that I can eliminate the need to use multiple platforms to get tasks done. Although we have chat software that we can use as a team, I love that I can mention someone in my work and have everything in one place.
UPDATE: Karbon is now incorporating AI into their platform and it comes in handy! For those TLDR emails Karbon now includes a nice summarize button which usually hits everything dead on. For those of us that struggle with composing emails, you can compose a draft and there is now a feature to change the tone and modify the draft for you!
UPDATE 11/19/24: One thing I originally disliked about Karbon was for the client request, you could only send those to one individual. Karbon has since updated that and we can include multiple clients on the request! I am in love with this feature! Additionally, we now have a new way to view triage/emails. If you are a gmail user you can setup your account to display the same way or if you prefer Outlook style then you have that option. Also with my firm onboarding new employees and clients this has been a great tool for the entire team to collaborate in one place! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One feature that I love is the client sections and being able to request information right from my work item. The downside to that is that if I am reaching out to one person but need to CC someone on the task as well, that option is not available.

The most helpful feature is the increased visability of all client information in one place. We extensively use the timeline to check on who has said what to the client in the last few months and with click of a button get an updated summary from AI.
However, there is far more to Karbon than this and no job is finalised in the office now without a workflow plan.
We also love being able to schedule emails, put the newsletters into low priority and save emails into later so that we can often during the working day easily attain zero inbox, which leads us to feel efficient and on top of growing workloads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I cant encrypt emails. This is a huge factor within our business as we wish to be safe when sending sensitive information to clients. It would also be good to have a secure step before sending emails such as - have you checked the client's email address - this ensures that the emails that we are sending are going to the right addressee. I find that Karbon helps our firm through transparency. All team members can easily look to a timeline for a client and get an overview of what is going on with that client. The work projects are easily navigated through and the external comment feature has helped greatly in cutting down the numerous emails from clients. We use it all day, every day! I love the automation that comes with Karbon that helps to create efficiencies in job management and completion while still allowing for a user friendly interface and keeping jobs on task. The implmentation was relatively easy to undertake and had a lot of really useful templates that were already available and that were easy to use and universal to a large part of the standard accounting services that many firms provide. I had one minor issue that came up during my implementation that the customer support team had resolved in less than 24 hours which was stellar and completely hands off for me. The integration with my email and QBO is one of the best pieces of integration that my firm could benefit from and I could not be happier with it. I use Karbon daily and it has become an essential part of my workflow tracking, but also essential in job tasking and checklists which are inherently already built into the template jobs. The only improvement I could ask for is more transparent time sheets. I'd love the timesheets to disclose the times that a staff member worked on a job (rather then just the time spent) to be more compliant with my institute guidelines, to better problemsolve billing and time issues, and to better support my firm if the time entries were to ever be challenged by a client or some other stakeholder.
