## About Iru
Iru is an AI-powered IT and security platform designed to help organizations secure their users, applications, and devices in an increasingly complex digital landscape. Tailored for the AI era, Iru integrates identity and access management, endpoint security, and compliance automation into a single cohesive solution. This unification streamlines operations, allowing IT and security teams to regain control and allocate their time more effectively. Targeted at fast-growing companies, Iru addresses the challenges faced by IT and security professionals who often juggle multiple tools and systems. The platform is particularly beneficial for organizations that require robust security measures while maintaining agility and efficiency. Use cases include managing user access across various applications, ensuring device security, and automating compliance processes, all of which are critical in today’s fast-paced business environment. At the heart of Iru is the Iru Context Model, which provides a dynamic overview of the organization’s environment by continuously monitoring users, devices, and applications in real-time. Complementing this model is Iru AI, an intelligent layer that transforms live data signals into actionable insights, orchestrates necessary actions, and maintains a comprehensive audit trail. This integration enhances policy enforcement, automates response mechanisms, and simplifies compliance, making it easier for organizations to adhere to regulatory requirements. One of Iru's standout features is its single endpoint agent, which manages and secures every device within an organization’s fleet. By implementing passwordless access through device-bound passkeys linked to device posture, Iru creates a trust fabric that strengthens security between users and devices. Additionally, compliance is continuously monitored with customized controls and an Adaptive Evidence Map that updates automatically, reducing the burden on IT teams and minimizing the risk of oversight. Iru aims to bring clarity and control back to overwhelmed IT and security teams by consolidating disparate tools into one unified platform. This shift allows teams to transition from reactive firefighting to proactive strategic initiatives that drive business success. The result is a more robust security posture, simplified workflows, and outcomes that align with organizational goals, ultimately fostering a safer and more efficient operational environment.

## Iru Reviews
 ### 1. Apple MDM scalable and simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geoffrey G. | IT Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji has been an amazing partner in moving our MDM from a managed service providor to in house MDM management. They templates and blueprint based configuration not old helped inforce some base line configurations but also helped us easily improve our Security landscape with out of the box CIS level 2 controls for Mac.

The OS and application update has also made it simple to ensure that we are always up to date and safe allowing management of our devices in a fully remote environment is easy!

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

There is not much to dislike about Kandji. The only thing I would like to see added is improved Windows MDM function as right now it is just a UI for Microsoft InTune.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji really solved 2 big problems for us.

1. Enforcing endpoint security with CIS Level controls in a way that is scalable. The fact that I do not need to know MacOS inside and out to be able to roll through system configurations to achieve the ever changing CIS landscape has been a game changer in managing security vulnerabilities.

2. The UI drived nature of Kandji makes it easy to read, configure, and deploy for all IT personal no matter their familiarity with MacOS

 ### 2. Kandji is the ideal MDM solution for Apple devices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Regi H. | IT Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji makes managing our Apple devices super easy. I love how much is automated — especially the compliance stuff. It saves a ton of time, and the setup for new devices is smooth thanks to zero-touch deployment. The interface is clean and simple, which makes everything faster to get done.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Kandji works great for our Apple devices, but it’s a bummer that it doesn’t support Windows. We have to use another tool just for those, which makes things more complicated than they need to be. It would be ideal if you can support windows devices soon so that all our company devices could be managed by one MDM solution.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji has been a big help at Eucalyptus by streamlining Apple device management, especially for our remote team. The zero-touch setup and automated compliance save time and keep us secure as we grow. It’s simple, reliable, and fits perfectly with our scaling needs.

 ### 3. Kanji: A Seamless and Powerful IT Management Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan C. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

I love Kandji's ability to use script deployment and making scripts an executable within a users app library. This has become very effective.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Another thing to mention would be improving the search function. Finding where policies that manage auto created admin accounts was almost impossible to find.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kanji is solving several key IT management challenges, primarily around device security, deployment consistency, and ease of management, these are:

Seamless Device Management – Managing our Mac fleet has become significantly easier with Kanji's intuitive platform. It has eliminated the frustrations we faced with devices randomly disconnecting from our previous MDM.

Consistent and Scalable Deployments – The Blueprint feature ensures that both new and existing devices are configured correctly with the necessary security policies, applications, and settings. This reduces manual work.

Enhanced Security and Compliance – Kanji's built-in security policies help enforce best practices, ensuring our devices remain compliant with company standards.

Simplified Software Distribution – The App Store and group-based permissions streamline app deployment and licensing. Users get the tools they need without IT intervention.

Real-Time Visibility and Control – The dashboard provides a clear, real-time overview of our fleet, making it easy to track device status, compliance, and security posture.

Ultimately, Kanji has reduced IT overhead, improved device reliability, and given us confidence in the security and management of our hardware. It has made my job significantly easier.

 ### 4. Kandji provides a powerful MDM without legacy bloat

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean B. | Chief Administrative Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji was straightforward to configure and deploy. Their sales and technical support team were always available during the process and now that we are in production I haven't really needed any further support because the tool is so easy to administer. In comparison to the MDM solution we replaced, Kandji is a considerable improvement in terms of ease to configure and understand how the pieces fit together. It's entirely possible that Kandji has less features than our old tool, but because we didn't really understand how to use those features, it was actually an overall feature gain to make the switch. Plus we got access to their library of updated applications which means we no longer have to manually keep our most common apps up-to-date. To top it all off, Kandji is considerably less expensive.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Some of the pre-built security configurations do not conform to the way Apple has updated their operating systems, which means devices can fall out of compliance despite being exactly how Apple designed them to operate. Thankfully Kandji provides a mechanism to mute individual alerts so they stop impacting our compliance reports while the underlying situation is sorted out between Kandji and Apple.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji allows us to manage all of our Apple products in a comprehensive manner to ensure our devices are up-to-date and fully compliant. It also provides tools to our users to self-install software without having to provide local administrative access.

 ### 5. What all MDM should aim to be

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Léo-Paul H. | Junior Security Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

I think the blueprints are a great way to handle who gets what in your company. The self-service feature really makes the user feel empowered (even though you still keep track of what they can do)
The design of Kandji also integrates really well with the MacOS style as well, this feels as if it was made by Apple itself

Within a few days, users told us how much better it was than what we previously had with Jumpcloud

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

We've had some trouble with the migration agent to help us move from Jumpcloud to Kandji. It wasn't the end of the world and it could be fixed with a few lines of code from our IT engineer.
Other than that, we needed to buy a remote assistant tool since that was a feature we've had on Jumpcloud, which Kandji lacks.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji fixes us having a bad MDM which left our users with a bad experience. having a swarm of users pining IT every time Slack needs to update is a pain. But as a security team member I can't let all those people be admin of their devices.
Sadly it's only a fix for Apple devices but that's most of our fleet

 ### 6. Kandji MDM Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cory R. | Technology Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

•	Effortless Setup & Deployment: Kandji's zero-touch deployment is a game-changer.
•	Intuitive Interface: The web dashboard is clean, fast, and incredibly easy to navigate.
•	Auto-Remediation: One of Kandji’s standout features is its auto-remediation. It checks for compliance and automatically fixes any drift from desired configurations
•	Top-Tier Support: Kandji’s support team is knowledgeable, fast, and genuinely invested in helping you succeed.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

End users complain about the notifications to upgrade and reboot, However, this is all part of keeping the device up to date and in compliance.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Effortless Setup & Deployment: Kandji's zero-touch deployment

 ### 7. Easy to use and it does its job perfectly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Georgi N. | Team Lead IT Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The ease of setting up an instance and starting with the management of devices is exceptionally well delivered by Kandji. During the onboarding phase one receives great support from account managers and designated technical specialists, so that one doesn't need to make compromises in one's planned deployment. Additionally, the customer support, reachable super easy via chat, is always quick and helpful – all my questions were addressed timely and successfully.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

At this stage I haven't experienced any downsides yet.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In order to comply with regulators and security frameworks, we need to be able to have the best possible overview over our devices fleet. Furthermore it is of utmost importance that all devices are managed in a unified manner when it comes to configurations, settings and applications. Kandji allows us to automate a lot of the internal IT tasks surrounding the employee devices, which tasks would otherwise consume a lot of time and effort.

 ### 8. Makes administering Macs easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan T. | Senior Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji allows us to set up different kinds of Apple devices for different purposes, ensure they stay secure, and keep track of them. It is simple and easy for support staff to work on and check on the process of enrolment and installation too, as well as giving them the tools for supporting other staff.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I wish that the Kandji blueprints had some more options for conditions and exceptions, and that when there are problems that the feedback was more detailed.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We previous set up Apple devices using a series of manual process and scripts. It was a long and imperfect process that didn't join machines to the domain or Active Directory and didn't track updates and security. Now we are able to ensure that all our Macs are current and secure and able to push out applications and configurations easily, whether they are on site or remote. The support Kandji has given has been invaluable in helping with any challenges too.

 ### 9. Great product, Superb people, but even better experience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cory B. | IT Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

One of the most valuable aspects of Kandji is the customer service and the personal connection I feel with the company. It never feels like I’m interacting with a distant, faceless product. Instead, I associate real names and genuine personalities with the platform.

When I reach out to support, I’m speaking with a real person—not a bot or AI. I receive thoughtful emails and have Zoom conversations with team members who not only solve issues but also share a bit about themselves, like what they did over the weekend. These personal interactions make Kandji feel less like just a tool and more like a team I trust and enjoy working with.

They consistently follow up when I need assistance, which reinforces that reliability. If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be this: continue evolving the product and staying ahead of industry trends—but never lose the human touch that sets Kandji apart.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Dislikes? Honestly, nothing at the moment. I might have mentioned the browser-based chat window in the past due to occasional glitches, but that’s already been resolved—so no complaints there.

That said, I would really appreciate more comprehensive training or guidance when new features or products are rolled out. Sometimes a release will pop up, and I find myself wondering, “What is this? How does it work? Why would I use it?” Eventually, I figure it out when I have the time, but having proactive tutorials or short walkthroughs explaining the purpose and functionality of new additions would be incredibly helpful. A bit of tutoring around new rollouts—especially the “why” behind them—would go a long way.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are keeping us compliant, and keeping our inventory accounted for.

 ### 10. Easy to use interface that makes Mac management that much easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter S. | Azure Admin II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji is very easy to learn the system that makes configuration and deployment that much easier. The interface for setting up restrictions and pushing apps is very simple to use and makes the experience of using that much better. Customer service is extremely responsive even with the most difficult issues that you present them. Integrating with other platforms are extremely easy and makes using the platform daily a pleasure.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

One of the most frustrating things about using the apps is sometimes the updates and apps fall a little behind other platforms. Such as Apple Intelligence restrictions.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By having all of our Mac devices on a singular platform, it makes management that much easier for devices. With a large enterprise spanning mobile and desktop operating systems across Mac and Windows, having all of the Mac devices in Kandji helps to keep things separated. We know that these devices will stay patched and up to date without having to have much manual intervention. The Mac laptops are our best patched platform in the enterprise.

 ### 11. A powerful tool for our organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darcy W. | Communications Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji's tools and feature set have been a game-changer for managing our Apple devices in the office. The depth of customizability and ease of implementation have allowed our relatively small team to thrive. Combined with Apple Business Manager we have both maintained quality and control over our devices and allowed for a better end-user experience for our staff.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Being a relatively small team Kandji's baseline pricing plan is quite steep. We would greatly appreciate a steeper non-profit discount and/or better pricing for smaller teams with less than 100 devices like us.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to push app and os updates to all our devices, as well as manage our central app library with ease thanks to Kandji. It has also greatly simplified our new device setup process, as products ship right from our Apple Business account and are ready to launch as soon as they connect to the network.

 ### 12. From MDM Mayhem to MacOS Bliss: Our Kandji Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bart P. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji simply 'works' – and that's its greatest strength. Its clean interface, flawless integrations with Google Workspace, Slack, and Apple Business Manager, and dream-like self-enrollment have transformed our Mac management. After having tried several other MDMs, I wholeheartedly recommend Kandji for any environment with an Apple device fleet

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Kandji only works on Apple devices. If you manage a mixed-OS environment, that's something to keep in mind.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji fundamentally solves the problem of streamlining and automating the management of our Mac fleet. We struggled with the complexity and inefficiency of other MDM solutions such as Intune, Google and even Jamf, which often required significant IT intervention.

Specifically, Kandji has helped us to
- Simplifying device enrolment: Self-service enrolment via Apple Business Manager has eliminated the need for IT to manually configure each MacBook. This has dramatically reduced our onboarding time and freed up IT resources.
- Improved integration: Seamless integration with Google Workspace and Slack has created a more cohesive and efficient workflow. We use Google for user identity and receive instant Slack notifications for device registrations, keeping our team informed.
- Improved user experience: Kandji's intuitive interface makes it easy for both IT and end users to manage and interact with their devices.
- Enable scalability: The ease of use and automation has allowed us to confidently scale our Mac fleet, leading us to go 'all Mac' and further streamline our procurement and rotation processes.
In essence, Kandji has reduced IT overhead, improved the user experience and enabled us to confidently scale our Mac environment. This has resulted in significant time and cost savings, allowing us to focus on our core business objectives.

 ### 13. The gold standard in MDM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Majdi A. | Manager, IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

As IT administrators, we've wrestled with clunky MDM solutions for far too long. That's why Kandji has been such a breath of fresh air. We needed something that streamlined our Apple device management, and Kandji delivers. The intuitive interface meant we weren't spending hours deciphering menus, and the automation features have freed us up to focus on more strategic tasks. Kandji Passport, in particular, has been a game-changer. We've seen a significant reduction in password-related support tickets, and onboarding new employees is now a breeze. Plus, the seamless integration with our existing identity provider has made our lives much easier.

We especially appreciate the Self Serve Portal. It's empowered our end-users to take control of basic tasks, reducing the number of support requests we receive. They can install approved apps and handle simple troubleshooting, which means we can concentrate on more complex issues. The new Assignment Maps are also a fantastic addition. We now have a clear visual representation of our device assignments, making it much easier to diagnose and resolve configuration problems. And when we've run into any questions, Kandji's support team has been incredibly responsive and helpful. We've found their sales team to be just as supportive, guiding us through the process with expertise. While we acknowledge that Kandji is specifically for Apple devices, and that the pricing might be a consideration for very small teams, for us, the efficiency and ease of use have made it a worthwhile investment. We're confident that Kandji has significantly improved our workflow and allowed us to better manage our Apple fleet.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

The one feature I do wish Kandji has that it's competitors do is the option to deploy a Library Item to only one device in an easy and streamlined way.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a hybrid workforce and Apple devices deployed to all our employees, Kandji solves the problem of management. Whenever we want to deploy a tool, script, file, etc., Kandji is always the easiest and most efficient way to do that. It also allows us to be more agile when it comes to onboarding. We are able to deploy a machine in no time while spending minimal hands-on time, allowing us to provide the business with efficient service.

 ### 14. Extremely Easy to Use, Stable, and Backed by Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The product is extremely easy to use, very stable and the support is exceptional.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I liked the name Kandji and its associated logo a lot more than the new name.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of our Mac workstations

 ### 15. Easy Setup & Integrations, But the UI Could Be More Intuitive

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Easy set-up and integrations with various solutions

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

UI is overwhelming and at times unstructured. Could be more intuitive. Chatbot doesn't have access to basic company information

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote device management and ISO compliance

 ### 16. The best device management application out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip H. | Senior Security Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

How easy it is to manage devices, the user friendly platform, and most importantly the scalability.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Nothing I can think of that I dislike about Kandji.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing mobile devices in the company which benefits me because it makes our overall security better. Also the device reporting helps us with our security certifications for HITRUST.

 ### 17. Apple MDM, Solved

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick F. | Manager, IT Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji is ridiculously easy to administer and acts as something of a force multiplier on our small IT team, making it painless to keep our devices patched and in compliance with appreciably little effort. Our onboarding was super smooth, and the (admittedly very few times) I've needed support it's never been more than about a five minute email wait away. Getting it up and going, removing our prior MDM via Kandji, and setting up our ABM to auto-integrate it into our daily lives was as painless as an MDM rollout can possibly be.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Some more automated integrations to the App Library with EDR suites (Sophos, etc) would be welcome! And I very much wish we could deploy it to Windows and Linux

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping our Mac fleet patched and compliant

 ### 18. Customer Support so good you’ll wish your other vendors were more like Kandji

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher G. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Customer service and support is one of the best in the SaaS market. Always helpful and ready to offer support and advice if you’re having any issues.

Sales support is also amazing and the team can really help you get to understand what you need out of a mobile device management system.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I have not had a situation where I could list a dislike. Kandji really delivers on its promise to support their product and their customers. There are other vendors out there that you can make a long list of cons. Kandji is not that company.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managed Mac’s and iPads in our corporate environment. It helps us be compliant with our client’s security requirements. It provides a manageable system to keep our mobile devices encrypted and our client’s data secure.

 ### 19. Effortless Onboarding and Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg P. | Cofounder and CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The onboarding was smooth, the interface is easy to use and the integrations are well documented, quick to implement.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Really the only downsite is that it doesn't cover Android.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

99% of our workstation are macOS, Iru allow us to remote manage them.

 ### 20. Simple and Works well.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert P. | Lead Security Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji is a lightweight yet feature-rich MDM client. The best aspect is its simplicity and efficiency. I believe there are fewer complaints from end users regarding malfunctions. Since it eliminates the need to manage an on-premise infrastructure, it requires fewer resources for administration. We were able to deploy MDM within the company seamlessly without trial and error, and their customer service was exceptionally responsive. This makes us feel comfortable relying on Kandji to manage our IT environment.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I wish the Library had more pre-configured apps available. I often think it would be great if deploying custom apps, especially those not available on Kandji’s public GitHub, were more flexible.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For compliance with various regulations, we wanted to centrally manage all devices within our company. I believe Kandji, as an MDM solution, has effectively met this need.

 ### 21. Great product and Phenomenal support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony S. | West Region MAC Support Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The migration process from our old MDM was smooth and very nice to not have any surprises issues. When ever I have or had an issue the support team is available for me to get the support I need. I have never spent more than 20 min to get an issue resolved. When I need to push a patch out its flawless works great with no issues. I like the option of SSO when getting into the program since I am in it every day all day long.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I personally have had 0 issues or downfalls.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a different MDM and when we would have a issue it would take 24-48 hours to hear back and we would have to set up a call from there what was always 24 hours after that. Kandji support is amazing 0 wait time to get issues resolved.

 ### 22. Truly fantastic device management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** paul.edmondson-jones@boonglobal.io E. | Security and Compliance Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Getting started with Kandji was very straight-forward for someone who has had a background in Apple MDM, using Jamf for many years. Setting up integrations are straight-forward, and the documentation is excellent for getting you up to speed. Implementation was an absolute breeze.

There's also a very well-populated GitHub repo, full of useful templates and guidance for common third-party apps, including EDR config which can be cumbersome.

The support team is excellent. Any query, no matter how big or small, is answered quickly, with professionalism, and by engineers who have a very deep understanding of the product.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Some of the GitHub documentation has been neglected or is a little bit out-of-date, but for the most part it will get you 80-90% towards where you need to be.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We previously had a mix of MDM servers, utilising Kandji for macOS, and Intune for iOS, and the latter felt very lacking, and was cumbersome to set up, configure, and manage.

We also have an environment of users of varying technical abilities, and making the onboarding process as simple as possible for all users was a huge consideration. The quick setup time and responsiveness to changes on devices is fantastic, with changes applying in minutes.

 ### 23. Great MDM for Apple devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yerandy M. | Head of Cloud at Apicbase, Hospitality, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Iru?**

I have been using Kandji for 3 years now, and it is a valuable asset to our IT infrastructure, it is easy to use, after the initial implementation it saves a lot of time in IT operations, we recently became SOC2 compliant and that was partly due to Kandji. Customer service is very helpful and always gives good advice on how to best use Kandji.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

There are not many things I don't like about Kandji, it's a great product. I will mention probably the lack of some reports mostly related to device traceability, for example if a device has had different owners sometimes I need to know the list of previous owners and that is currently not possible.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves a lot of time in IT operations, as well as being a very important pillar in our security and compliance policies.

 ### 24. Easy to use, with great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom S. | Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The best thing about Kandji is how easy everything was to set up the system. Their engineers especially are patient and provide quality advice on how to navigate MDM. Additionally, they have a wealth of documentation available for you to reference, along with step-by-step instructions on how to set things up, including screenshots, which are easier on the eyes compared to pure wall of text. Lastly, their support team is always available and easy to communicate with.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I don't necessarily "dislike" features in Kandji, but I'd like to see more customizable options and features based on the information already available in the portal, such as automated reporting functionalities based on a device's specific condition. Initially, I felt the app options were limited, but they continue to integrate more frequently, which is good to see.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simply the necessity of a remotely managed fleet of MacOS devices.

 ### 25. Smooth migration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juhani K. | CIO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The onboarding experience was really great. Dedicated experts helped us choosing the best migration path from our old MDM to Kandji.

The admin portal is lightyears ahead of the competition. We had used our old MDM for years and thought that some features such as forcing app updates were just out of our reach. But after switching to Kandji we have better outlook on our device fleet and the status of each computer. Now keeping apps updated is super easy and the end user experience is very unintrusive.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

The only thing where Kandji did not exactly meet our expectations was printer management (and printer settings). We ended up keeping our old (shell script based) installation packages because some printer settings were not available through the Kandji Library for printers. However this might have been more to our very specific needs (we like to set up printers very granularly with specific settings which can only be done with shell scripts).

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji secures our devices, makes device onboarding very fast and easy. Device inventory and security settings are also very easy to implement with Kandji.

 ### 26. Very intuitive and functional MDM solution for Apple computers and mobile devices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan S. | Team Lead, Endpoint Systems, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The most helpful thing about Kandji is that it effectively manages Macs in an enterprise. Some upsides are how intuitive it is, the Auto-App functionality, the number of tasks you can do to devices remotely, and how much it helps with standardizing your organization’s devices.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

It keeps going up each year significantly in price. Also one request that we get a lot from users is to reset their password. It would be nice if we could do that very simply from the Kandji admin console and push it to the Mac.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji helps us to standardize and automate the deployment of and management of our Apple devices at our university, where it wasn’t really done before.

 ### 27. Streamlined Device Management with Powerful API Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew F. | Senior Desktop Support Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

With the recent release and support of Assignment Maps, we have consolidated over 20 Blueprints into a single Assignment Map for Macs and another for iPads. This has been a game-changer for our team members who support everyday users. Whenever I encountered issues or needed clarification, I was able to reach out to support and connect within minutes, receiving helpful and actionable information. Integrating Kandji into our environment has been seamless—enrolling devices is straightforward, and deploying new software and scripts is nearly effortless. I frequently use Kandji to monitor device compliance and develop in-house tools leveraging their API.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

One of my biggest frustrations is certain aspects of the UI when it comes to reporting on Library apps. I've had to develop in-house applications to manipulate device return data by status, providing us with actionable reporting that includes the full name and email of the user assigned to the device, paired with the serial number and the status within the Library app. Since Kandji has easy access to this information, the ability to include these fields and make the list easily exportable would be highly beneficial. While I was able to quickly leverage their API to manipulate this data within my own tool, having native support for this functionality would be a valuable addition.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji is solving the challenge of efficient device management, particularly in streamlining reporting, compliance monitoring, and software deployment. With features like Assignment Maps, we have significantly reduced complexity by consolidating over 20 Blueprints into just two Assignment Maps, making it easier to manage Macs and iPads. The seamless integration into our environment simplifies device enrollment, software implementation, and script deployment, saving time and effort. Additionally, while Kandji’s built-in reporting has some limitations, its robust API allows us to develop in-house tools to manipulate and extract actionable data, ensuring we have full visibility and control over our fleet. This has greatly improved operational efficiency and support for our team.

 ### 28. Kandji is the MDM provider folks need!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek K. | Sr. Manager, Information Security & IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

I absolutlely love how simple it is to manage the platform, and if there isn't something I know how to there are endless comprehensive help center articles that provide me with the information I need in order to self-resolve my issue. I've put my full trust within the Kandji platform for about 5 years now, and they continue to constantly deliver just what I am looking for in order to manage my enterprise Apple devices. I have replaced Kandji competitor applications within 4 companies now, and implementation is a cinch and simple automated deployment!

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I don't have much bad to say about Kandji other than it can't manage Windows devices and I have to use a separate solution to manage the 6 PCs I have within my enviornment.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji makes it simple for me to manage my entire enterprise Apple assets in a streamlined manner; assignment maps are next level in that I can apply contextual device configurations that sync with my identity provider making it a breeze to create a base device config and have it change based on wether or not someon is droppped into a new group via the IdP.

 ### 29. Kandji’s Apple-Centric MDM: A Total Game-Changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Admir J. | Senior IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

I love how Kandji simplifies managing a large fleet of Apple devices, from deploying apps and enforcing security policies to staying on top of updates. The implementation process was surprisingly easy, saving us a lot of time and effort right from the start. Their documentation is clear and thorough, making it a breeze to learn new features and troubleshoot without getting stuck. On top of that, Kandji’s customer support is fantastic—responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile. The automation options are a huge plus, too, reducing repetitive tasks and helping us maintain a consistent environment across all our devices.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I’d love to see deeper integration with Okta that allows us to pull additional user attributes directly into Kandji. That way, we could maintain and manage devices more effectively using the full range of user information. Also, the recent UI change for device management wasn’t as popular with my team; we found the old interface more intuitive. Having the option to switch between the old and new layout—or at least gradually phase in changes—would ease adoption and help us work more efficiently.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji helps us overcome a range of challenges in managing our fleet of Apple devices. Before using Kandji, we spent a lot of time manually setting up new Macs and iPhones. Now, Kandji automates most of those repetitive tasks—pushing updates, enforcing configurations, and monitoring compliance—so our IT team can focus on higher-value projects. Onboarding new employees has also become much smoother: they receive a properly configured device on day one without extra steps or delays. Overall, it has significantly reduced our administrative overhead, improved security, and created a more consistent user experience across the company.

 ### 30. Kandji - Dream Mac MDM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moritz B. | Chief of Staff, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji is incredibly easy to set up, and its deep integration with AAD made user management seamless. We needed an MDM solution urgently, and within a day, we had it fully up and running.

One of the standout features for us has been Kandji’s chatbot support, which provided timely and effective assistance whenever we needed it. Additionally, the deployment of App Store apps, custom apps, custom scripts and Auto Apps has been a game-changer for our organization, making software distribution effortless and efficient.

One of the standout features of Kandji is Kandji Liftoff, which provides a seamless first-time setup experience for new Mac users. It not only guides users through the onboarding process but also allows for deep customization, ensuring that new team members feel right at home from the moment they power on their device.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

The Microsoft SSO login for Mac was a bit tricky to set up initially, requiring some extra configuration and troubleshooting. However, once the initial setup was complete, the integration worked smoothly without any further issues.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing all our Macs in our organization keeping them compliant and updated.

 ### 31. Kandji made our deployment smooth, with an effortless migration process and an intuitive platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian Vasile C. | IT Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

From setup to day-to-day management, Kandji has proven to be incredibly user-friendly. Policies are easy to configure, automation is robust, and the UI is clean and efficient. As an IT engineer, I’ve appreciated how much time and stress it’s saved me already. It’s clear Kandji understands what modern IT teams need, and it delivers on that promise in a big way.

Highly recommended, especially if you're looking for a reliable, efficient way to manage Apple devices at scale.

-Great customer support, fast and efficient.
-Ease of implementation even when migrating from an old MDM
-Integrates easy with other tools(Okta)

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Limited Windows/Android Support – Kandji is Apple-focused, so if you’re in a mixed device environment, you might find it lacking for non-Apple devices.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Device management, patch management, zero-touch enrollement

 ### 32. Kandji is the best device management system I have ever used!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan D. | Director of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji has a very user-friendly platform. They are extremely responsive when I need assistance. Their system is very clean and organized and has all of the features that we require to manage our devices. If I ever have ideas of a feature that could be helpful for us, they are always open to my feedback and bring solutions to help.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

The initial set up of devices may have been challenging if our rep wasn't so helpful, but they were extremely helpful and made the setup seamless.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji gives us the ability to manage and organize all of our Apple devices. This would be a big headache without Kandji. Not having to stress about the management of these devices and knowing that Kandji has me covered is very helpful.

 ### 33. Great Product + Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian U. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

I’m incredibly impressed with Kandji’s user-friendly interface and robust feature set. As a first-time MDM user, I was initially overwhelmed by the prospect of setting everything up. However, Kandji’s extensive help articles, responsive live chat, and other support channels made the entire onboarding process remarkably smooth and stress-free. The customer service team consistently goes above and beyond, providing clear, detailed guidance whenever I have questions. Overall, Kandji strikes an excellent balance between ease of use and powerful functionality—making it a top choice for anyone seeking a reliable, straightforward MDM solution.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

While I find Kandji to be generally intuitive, there’s certainly room for further refinement in the UI/UX. That said, in the relatively short time our team has been using the platform, we’ve already seen a steady stream of updates addressing some of these areas. It’s clear that the Kandji team is both aware of user feedback and committed to making meaningful improvements over time.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji solves our Apple device management challenges by streamlining setup, compliance, and security across the board. Tasks like app deployment, software updates, and policy enforcement are now largely automated, saving us valuable time and reducing human error. We also recently started using Kandji’s EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), which provides real-time monitoring and threat detection for our devices. This extra layer of security further enhances our protection against potential threats and gives us added peace of mind. Overall, Kandji has helped us efficiently manage our fleet while maintaining a high standard of security.

 ### 34. Great for security, apps instaling and monitoring activity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro V. | Funding Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Admin access is temporary and I'm free of responsability for installing non desired apps, I update install and uninstall only the apps approve by my employeer and that way about secutrity breachs

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Nothing, it works perfect for my position

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My managers know which apps I use and I cant install anything non corporate related

 ### 35. Extremely Flexible "MDM plus" - Top-Tier for Apple Devices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pax W. | Technical Director, Webmaster, and Co-Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji are rapid to adopt new features in Apple's OS ecosystems, their menu of 'auto apps' has become far more comprehensive, they support new releases in a timely manner, and they're starting to infuse the product with Ai that will hopefully provide better insights and more accurate management in less time.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Good news - deploying apps has been improved and is now far more granular. Support hours are increased, as well, though I still wish they'd offer live support at this price point. Speaking of which, this is a boutique product with a boutique price tag, and that could certainly use improvement.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just a little worldwide pandemic and remote workers. We have a lot more flexibility in how we manage machines that we NEVER lay physical hands on. The other huge problem facing us was migrating from a defunct MDM to Kandji during the summer of 2020, with a fleet dispersed across many states. There wasn't room for error, and after thorough testing with Kandji's support team, we made the migration with only the tiniest of issues.

 ### 36. Kandji

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahmood . | DevSecOps, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

I have used Kandji for the past two years and it has the most user friendly MDM solution I have used. It is able to force updates on Mac OS and Kandji has levels on the amount of restrictions you can apply through a blueprint. Its self-service portal is easy to use and you can deploy software easily through the interface. Kandji also has good documentation on how to do things which means I don't have to contact support to solve an issue.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I haven’t had any issues with Kandji. It’s been a seamless experience with its automation.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji is helping automate the tasks you need to do while managing an MDM. The less management overhead allows small teams to manage kandji while delivering great security posture to endpoints.

 ### 37. Kandji is a great value and the support team is top knotch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric S. | Associate Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The Kanji interface and support team are extremely user-friendly and knowledgeable. In demo'ing other MDM and EDR offerings the best bang for the buck has been with streamlining our solution with Kandji.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

I would like to see more dynamic pricing structure. being able to better taylor our subscription to the number of devices we have.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplified our administration of our devices and gave us amazing visibility into how our users are using their computers, allowing us to audit and control the software installed and now with the addition of the EDR and vulnerability solution, great insight into how to refine our library items to ensure our users OS and applications stay up to date.

 ### 38. Modern MDM That Scales with Your Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Things I like best about Kandji are:
- The UI is super easy and friendly to use—everything feels intuitive.
- Our Account Rep team is awesome to work with—shout-out to Makenzie!
- Kandji keeps rolling out new features all the time. Assignment Maps has been an amazing addition—we’d been waiting on that one for a while.
- Things are really easy to build out of the box, whether it’s Self Service or new profiles.
- They’re always quick to support the latest macOS versions with profile support (like the new Apple Intelligence stuff), which is huge.
- I love the Auto Apps—just wish there was an easier way to create custom ones.
- Liftoff is super slick for setting up new laptops—makes onboarding a breeze.
- Managed OS has been great for staying on top of updates and keeping things consistent across devices.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Things I think can be improved on are:

- Better reporting on devices, PRISM is a great start
- Support for GitOps Operations

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji makes it easier for us to streamline device management, seamless onboarding for end users with Self-Service and Liftoff, and helping us stay compliant and secure with auto-apps and managed OS.

 ### 39. Simple yet elegant solution - Easy Implementation - Perfect Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lazar G. | IT Support Team Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Ease of use is the reason we decided to go with Kandji.
We had a tight deadlines and a team of people which would be very much affected if the integration period would be heavy.
Integration was fairly easy for us as we managed to onboard 500 laptops in less 6 months starting completly from scratch where even our Apple Business Manager was intrdocuded by the same time we introduced Kandji to our systems.
The cusomter support team and chat-bot feature is extreamly good because even when 1st level tech is having some issue they are getting great support with relevant knowledge base and timely reactions.
Also kudos to the implementation team as basically soon after we ended our trial run we were like 80% ready to deploy which is a great deal of help from the day zero.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Depending on how complex your enviornment is this is where you can reach a certain level or issues.
This is where you can find some limitation where the easy to implement Kandji system can be lacking with options or features.
However if you do a good deal of demoing and making sure you are aware of the rightsizing the tools for your company in the end you can still deal with shortcomings.
One thing to mention is that even if you find any shortcomings the Customer Support team is there to create a feature request out of your question and even respond with future update where your question becomes a future solution. Also they most usually help you find a workouround.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure globally deployed hardware is setup to our standards no matter what (ABM).
Making sure our software and MacOS is patched timely.
Making sure we have control over any potential features a company would like to disable in the user experiance (Apple Inteligence)
Making sure each employee gets a set of tools they need for their work.
Logging in to their account with Google Workspace integration.

 ### 40. Kandji - Say goodbye to your Apple headaches!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David V. | IT Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji has completely changed the way we manage our Apple state, mainly MacBooks. The enrollment has been easy to configure thanks to their extensive and well explained guides which will definitely help you, from the links to your O365 tenant to an entire zero-touch deployment including apps, configs, policies, security settings...

The entire process has been great and a big thank you to the team for their help on the onboarding and implementation.

Kandji is everything we needed, its friendly interface and powerful tools makes it a great system to manage your Apple devices.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Nothing we have encountered so far but as I have seen on others reviews, it will probaly be easier for an admin if they already have got some knowledge and experience on MDM platforms, integrations and mobile devices configurations to have a smoother transition.

If you already have this, it should be easy enough to go through it and if not, they still have got really good documentation on every step of the way to help you

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apple devices management, deploying and patching - security

 ### 41. Effortless Apple Device Management with Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David V. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji is easy to use and implement across the organization and would highly recommend to anyone who has anywhere from a few to a fleet of Apple devices of any kind. I use it almost it daily and every time that I use it I'm amazed that the online assistance can be done via an actual person who knows the ins and outs of the software and the knowledge articles that they publish.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

The authentication mechanism between Apple Business and Kandji can be burdensome. But once it's setup it's good.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of management for rollout of devices across the organization. Can send devices directly to the individual without interaction and have it roll out all needed changes automatically.

 ### 42. Super simple Apple MDM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Topher N. | Infrastructure Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji was easy to setup and get our users started with. Since getting all our Macs onto it, we've had less issues with our Mac users than Windows. Once everything is setup, you can pretty much forget it (or at least until Apple makes OS changes you need to address.) Passport has also been handy for allowing our Mac users to utilize SSO for account login, like their Windows counterparts. Account managers and tech support are super friendly and quick to resolve issues.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

This is not a dislike, but more of constructive criticism. It would be nice if Kandji could recognize when uploaded Profiles are out of date and incompatible with currently supported systems.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji is extremely helpful in providing previews to their new features, information about incoming macOS changes that affect managed devices, and providing information on macOS security and vulnerabilities.

 ### 43. Very helpful Manage Device Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zainudin J. | Senior IT Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji makes it easy to manage devices, makes it easy to implement our policies, and most importantly, is relatively inexpensive compared to competitors.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

1. only able to manage mac, hopelly sometime can manage multiple Operating system

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

in our company we already ISO 27001 certification, and ofcource its making user not comfortable because we need a lot policy especially related for security and also software limitations.
in the beginning we are really struggling to implemence 1 by 1 every each other, and also setup different application in each department,at the end we found a miracle (kandji), kandji really make us (IT Technician) happy, because we don't need to setup 1 by 1, all just on 1 dashboard, 1 blueprint

 ### 44. Manage your fleet without the operational burden

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji makes it easy for IT teams to deploy a feature rich MDM tool to all of your Apple devices. It covers any technical or compliance needs for MDM. I chose Kandji because other competitors, like JAMF, required a lot more time up front to implement it and too much resourcing to maintain it. MDM should be simple.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

initially, Blueprints were inflexible in terms of where you could apply them. However, they released assignments maps about a year or so ago which helps us in nuanced use cases.

Pricing is always a concern, but they have demonstrated that they'd work with us on that.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji helps us meet our compliance requirements, but also helps us set a high security standard across our fleet of Apple devices. In addition to security hardening, there are ease of use features like self service and auto-apps that keep our employees humming.

 ### 45. The Gold Standard for Apple Device Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erez E. | Director of IT and Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji has completely transformed how we manage and secure our Apple devices. Its zero-touch deployment, automated remediation, and intuitive UI make it an indispensable tool in our IT stack. The Blueprints feature is a game-changer, allowing us to enforce policies and configurations seamlessly across different teams.

From a security perspective, Kandji ensures compliance without added complexity. Live device monitoring, automated patching, and self-healing capabilities give us peace of mind, knowing our fleet is always protected and up to date.

Beyond the technology, Kandji’s support team is exceptional—responsive, knowledgeable, and always eager to help. They truly care about customer success.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Kandji is a premium solution, and its pricing reflects that. While it’s worth every penny, a more flexible pricing model for smaller teams or companies with mixed Apple and non-Apple environments would be a welcome addition.

Additionally, while feature updates are frequent, we'd love to see even deeper integrations with third-party security and identity platforms in the future.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Kandji, managing our Apple fleet was a challenge, especially in ensuring security, compliance, and seamless user onboarding. Traditional MDM solutions required constant manual intervention, lacked automated security enforcement, and were not as intuitive or Apple-native as Kandji. With Kandji, we’ve significantly reduced IT workload, improved security posture, and enhanced the employee experience with a seamless Apple device management solution. It’s a game-changer for our Apple ecosystem!

 ### 46. Kandji: The Best MDM After Testing Them All

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tristan T. | IT Infrastructure & Security Director, Media Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji has been a game-changer for our Apple device management. First trying Mosyle, then Hexnode, then Addigy, and after a year on Jamf Now, it's finally everything we needed: intuitive interface, robust feature set, and the automation has made the device management almost unnoticeable.

Equally impressive is the customer experience. My fantastic rep, Kaylee, made it painless and seamless during the quoting process; she seemed really interested in what our needs would be. The support team has been equally fantastic: quick, effective, knowledgeable. With service like this on top of the functionality of Kandji, this was worth switching to.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

Kandji is actually a bit pricey compared to the other solutions that we tested; however, after considering that Kandji actually is a feature-rich platform which includes all functions in the license, unlike its competitor Jamf, where some modules need to be purchased as an addition-it actually is good value in a long perspective: you get from the very box everything you want and even a bit more, so it definitely is worth this money.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji's totally streamlined the entire function of managing our Apple devices-from making sure updates are easy to do on macOS devices to the confidence in each machine being updated and secure in and of themselves, with no additional input required or sought from the end-users. That's not even mentioning other big benefits like printers, app deployment-including custom apps-and even line-of-business apps.

This level of control and flexibility has saved us countless hours and eliminated headaches, allowing us to focus on more strategic tasks instead of tedious device management. It's been a game-changer for our operations!

**What do you like best about Iru?**

I appreciate the compatibility with my company's MacOS environment. Other services either lack this compatibility entirely or are very difficult to deploy. Kandji has a very responsive support team and is always helpful!

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

My only complaint with Kandji is I wish their integrated apps was a little more diverse, but you are able to deploy custom apps and scripts with ease!

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji provides a centralized platform to monitor, manage, and secure our entire company fleet of Apple devices. It enables us to enforce compliance, automate configurations, and streamline onboarding and offboarding processes. This level of control and visibility has significantly improved our IT efficiency and reduced the time spent on manual device management.

 ### 48. Kaylee is THE best representative I have ever had the pleasure of woking with!

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Kandji allows us to troubleshoot our Assistive Talk devices remotely, eliminating the need for physical presence. This feature is invaluable as it allows us to address issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring that our students have continuous access to the assistive technology they rely on.

We truly value how Kandji empowers us to effectively implement and accommodate the diverse assistive needs of our students, tailoring our approach to support each individual’s requirements. The program’s integration features are particularly impressive; they seamlessly connect with various platforms and tools we use, enhancing our overall educational experience.

Moreover, the customer support offered by Kandji is outstanding—responsive, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist us with any questions or challenges we encounter. This level of support is a significant advantage, making our experience with the software much more pleasant. Again, Kaylee is the ABSOLUTE BEST!

Finally, while the interface may take a little getting used to initially, it becomes intuitive and easy to navigate with regular use. Frequent engagement with the program allows us to unlock its full potential, ultimately benefiting both our staff and students alike.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

We haven't encountered a downside with the program as of yet.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji is effectively tackling our challenges related to remote assistance in configuring devices. With its robust platform, we are able to seamlessly manage two separate locations from a centralized interface, streamlining our operations and enhancing productivity. This unified management approach with Kandji allows us to ensure consistent device settings and security policies across both sites, making our IT processes more efficient and reliable.

 ### 49. Kandji has been a blessing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Iru?**

Honestly, Kandji has been great. The Clean UI, Zero-touch deployment has been great, and scalable. Easy to provision access to many of our team members and give them access based on their roles and experience. The apps that Kandji manages and makes them available for us to use with out adding our apple account has been great. The technical support amazing, the folks at Kandji have been fantastic, Mac admins that really love helping. Their AI tool has been a life saver.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

The only thing I would like Kandji to have is to make a tool to transfer JSon files to Plist, but not a big deal.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unifying our macs to one solid mdm from multiple ones.

 ### 50. Kandji MDM simplified Apple device management and saved us significant time.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Micheal S. | Director, TechOps Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Iru?**

The ease of use, and learning curve when switching to Kandji is great.
The Interface is easy to navigate and intuitive.
It seems like every week Kandji is making improvements and enhancing the system to better serve it's customers.

**What do you dislike about Iru?**

There isn't much to dislike, more of a wishlist... It would be great if it could incorporate windows devices, as our fleet is split and we would like to have everything in one easy to use platform.

**What problems is Iru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kandji's Auto App Library is taking a large amount of work off our plates by managing those updates for us so we can focus on more important things.
