Start with a minimal basic set so you can start working immediately and add complexity to your board as you go
Use the Custom Fields, its a great way to get all you need from your board. You can for example, create one field to enter the product and track different products or projects within the same board.
Eventually, learn how to use the Public API, that will allow you to integrate your board with other applications for analysis or work reports. I use this API to publish my team's productivity statistics using Power BI.
Encourage the use of Kanban Cards not only to track the project's tasks but also to plan and organize the daily activities within your team.
I ask my team to plan ahead their week of work and create and update the board which we will review once a week to identify possible blockers and in general, have visibility of our job.
If you have a team geographically disperse, an electronic board is the best option to implement your Agile methodology, some electronic boards are very complex to understand and configure for the first time, Kanbazone makes it really easy for me and my team.
