Just define a few settings and start your work. Best Feature which I didn't find anywhere else so far: you can show the ToDo-List of every card in the Board from the Beginning (always on). It's not a dislike, but I'm missing the visibility of dependencies in the board (f.e. Box in a box or something like that). Of course, you can do this also by Excel or other tools. But it's much easier to drag some cards then to change a colum-entry. The best thing about this tool is how it promotes visibility into every of our business progress, projects and tasks. We are able to get a high-level view of our projects in progress in real-time. It's simple just drag-and-drop to move tasks through each workflow stage. Hence saves time and money. It's also easy to see exactly where tasks are getting stuck in our workflows, so it's possible to add resources, refine our processes, or even change requirements. Kanban (in my words) is a framework to evolve delivery processes. In that, a kanban board needs to be as flexible and unopinionated as it can be, since its main goal is to represent the current workflow. Whoever tells you that Trello is a Kanban tool knows little about what Kanban really is. Be assured, Kanban is not a board! The board is there just to make tangible what is not. Nothing can beat the flexibility of a whiteboard with post-its (or larger sheets), magnets, pencils and colored paper tape to arrange your lanes, columns, and information as you think it's better; but Kanban Tool does a great job in bringing your boards online without getting in the way. It offers 90% of what you would probably need and gives you some nice metrics in change for the missing 10% Collecting kanban metrics is not as exhausting as many think, but having it done for free is a nice boon. With the pandemic I tried many tools to implement Kanban online and none performed as well as Kanban Tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Kanban Tool? It's not the sexiest interface ever, but it's nice and simple. And honestly, who cares? One missing feature that is worth alone half of the aforementioned 10% is being able to split a column vertically. I use vertical splitting for parked stuff, process forks, etc. Kanban Tool supports swimmlanes but they cross the whole board. You can also split a column vertically to create "substeps" and that's great but having a vertical split function would be well... perfection? :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Kanban Tool: If you need to move your Kanban board online for some reasons, look no further. Kanban Tool may not be the most popular kid in school, but it's for sure the most brilliant one. The only one that actually knows Kanban is unopinionated and gives you just the tool.
