## Kali Reviews
  ### 1. Kali Linux: The Ultimate Free Penetration-Testing OS with Strong Community Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** yash p. | Cybersecurity Trainee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Kali?**

Kali Linux is the best free penetration-testing OS, with 600+ preinstalled security tools such as Nmap, Metasploit, and Wireshark. It runs smoothly inside VirtualBox, which makes it easy to set up a safe, isolated lab environment. With regular updates and strong community support, it’s an ideal choice for ethical hacking and learning cybersecurity.

**What do you dislike about Kali?**

Kali Linux has a steep learning curve for beginners, and some of its tools don’t come with clear or sufficient documentation. Hardware compatibility can also be tricky, especially when it comes to WiFi adapters. In my experience, it isn’t ideal as a daily-use operating system because it’s designed primarily for security testing. Running it in VirtualBox can sometimes feel slow as well, particularly if you haven’t allocated enough resources.

**What problems is Kali solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kali Linux solves the problem of setting up a complete penetration testing environment from scratch. It saves hours of tool installation and configuration. It helps me practice ethical hacking, network scanning, and vulnerability assessment in a safe virtual environment. This has greatly improved my cybersecurity skills and made professional security testing much more efficient.
