4.5/5
What do you like best about Kali Linux?

What do you dislike about Kali Linux?

The UI can be hard to get used to sometimes. It’s not a major factor for me, but when switching from another OS, it can be really difficult to adjust to the text and colors—for example, going from a white background with black text to a black background with colored text. "Great Features But Challenging Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Kali Linux?

I appreciate that Kali Linux is absolutely free, which is a significant benefit for me as a student. It's easy to use, enabling me to perform tasks that are challenging on other operating systems like Windows. I find its command prompt feature particularly interesting and useful for my studies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kali Linux?

I found the setup process for Kali Linux challenging and frustrating. There were many hindrances and issues such as problems with installation where the system did not recognize my pen drive. The software was not clear about what was needed and required troubleshooting through external resources like YouTube and tech support. Additionally, the process for installing and running applications is cumbersome compared to Windows, requiring manual handling of GSAs and command prompts. I wish the developers would simplify these processes for a smoother user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kali Linux?

Most issues with Kali Linus as a user is that it is not a general purpose operating system as it is specialized in nature which hinders most of my work during usage because I usually inter-switch between the general purpose operating system such as windows OS and its platform. The downside of Kali Linux is its overly specialized nature, limited for everyday functionality, it is not secure for general use, it is not user friendly especially for beginners, its script kiddie culture leads to abuse of its usage by novice, Its performance and resource intensive, and its potential for misuse and legal issues that may come up.
