**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel C. | Director of Product Marketing, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

Kahoot is unquestionably the "go to" when you need to organize a nice, lite, in-office and/or virtual and/or hybrid group activity.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

It's wildly overpriced. I mean *wildly*. Only after you innocently agree to pay the subscription price do you really discover how little is included and how much of the offering is connected to additional one-time payments.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a bridge between global teams and Kahoot helped us change things up. We use it at most of our happy hours. We play games that enable the in-person cohort to connect better with the virtual cohort.

Kahoot is a great tool for boosting engagement and collaboration. It creates an interactive experience that gets everyone involved, makes learning fun, and helps build stronger participation across teams.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

Kahoot’s pricing options can feel expensive and restrictive. Several features that were once free are now only available through paid plans, which reduces flexibility. In addition, larger groups often require an upgrade, making it less accessible without additional cost.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kahoot is solving the problem of low engagement and passive participation in learning or group settings. Traditional teaching, training, or meetings can feel one-sided, but Kahoot transforms them into interactive, game-based experiences that encourage active involvement, instant feedback, and collaboration

I use this in my classroom mostly for engagement when reviewing a topic before a test. It is fun, interactive and engaging.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

When hosting live I have had random people join which can become an issue when playing.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me to engage students to want to learn.

  ### 17. An incredible platform to learn while having fun

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rivera Hernández L. | Analista de datos, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

Turn learning into a game!

Healthy competition with real-time rankings motivates even the most distracted.

Ideal for breaking the ice in classes, training sessions, or even boring meetings.

Moreover, it's so versatile that you can not only use it to learn, but also to create fun trivia with your friends.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

Limits in the free version:

Only allows 10 players per game (in free plans). For classrooms or large groups, requires payment.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Little interaction in remote teams
In home office or virtual classrooms, it is difficult to maintain engagement.
Kahoot! creates live group dynamics (everyone plays from their homes).

  ### 19. Decent platform, renewal scam and impossible to reach customer service for resolution

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley H. | Director of Customer Success, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

Easy to put up Q/A for a zoom call with the team.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

No customer service, hostage renewal processes and and refusal to "make right" when renewal charges disputed.

There is no service line. Your renewal charge may or may not be visible in your account dashboard. They will gladly "cancel" your service once disputed but will not refund a charge. I paid $240 to use this service 1x. I asked to have my renewal charge refunded when the paid features were NOT available to me after renewal. They refused and "cancelled" my account. Writing this review and hopefully saving others from this experience is my only recourse.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kahoot has given me more problems than it has solved. I used it for team building when a new remote teammate joined to do a fun "get to know you" session.

  ### 21. Great product - Bad experience

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kelly B. | Business Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

I love the way Kahoot opens up the interactivity of online meetings and learnings.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

I never got to use my subscription. I decided against it. But I was outside of the 14-day period. So I'm charged for the full year. No option for cancellation. Not even at a prorated rate. After explaining the situation, still nothing. Rules are rules, I guess. But it feels a bit like a money grab and just generally like an unfair practice.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I've used it in the past, it helped me to make my trainings more interactive.

  ### 22. Kahoot is a very dynamic platform that offers fun while learning.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark S. | Financial Account Specialist, Outsourcing/Offshoring, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

The best feature for me is the quiz game. It activates the learners competitive spirit and fast response.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

For the platform itself, I would say there is none.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It activates learner's participation. Fun while learning motivates most of the learners.

  ### 23. Interactive learning for students

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lavya P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

Kahoot has a great interface for users- it's really easy to use and beginner-friendly. I have actively used it in classes both as a participant as well as an implementer. Kahoot is also great at advertising educational quizzes, and the best part is that its free!

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

While it's great at teaching topics, there are only so many questions that one can practice and it feels limited and restricted

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps with interactive and engaging learning which helps support the learning atmosphere

  ### 24. Kahoot!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

I love that my students love it so much! I love that they are able to practice their skills and their vocabulary for Spanish in a fun and easy way. They enjoy the friendly competition among their peers as well.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

I do not like that after a while you will have to pay for a subscription to Kahoot! I also don't like that there aren't other game formats available. I do not like that the students are able to grab pre made questions from the internet like I am

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kahoot! is a fun and effective way for students to practice their skills in various areas of study. I often do vocabulary and grammar so they are able to practice there Spanish language.

  ### 25. Kahoot

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

It is easy to use, it makes it easy for me to break the ice at the beginning of meetings or a workshop, also to check if the topics that are being developed are being understood

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

Initially the free version had multiple options, then they changed and the free version is practically no longer useful, so it necessarily forces you to pay a cost to use it, and it is not one of the cheapest options, there are other similar ones that offer more in their free version advantages, that is why today I practically do not use it

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

facilitates interaction with the audience, gamification makes people tend to participate more and can learn in a more fun and unstructured way, It is easier for them to give feedback on a particular topic through the tool

  ### 26. Fun to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

It's very easy to use, meaning it's intuitive, the UI/UX is great and overall, it creates a great atmosphere whenever I present using Kahoot's quiz option, also it's very interactive

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

There is nothing in particular that I dislike; it gets the job done for me and it always creates a fun environment, the only thing I would say is that sometimes when the players are logged in and waiting for the game to start, it would crash out and not let them play the game

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am responsible for trainings and coachings at our company and also for training new hires; thus after I finish the training session with thenew hire, I have created a Kahoot game which I share with the new hires so that they can take a quiz on what they've learned.

  ### 27. Perfect for gamifying your online classes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Borja O. | Profe, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

I love having the possibility to create fun activities for my students in an easy way. Additionally, it offers a thousand possibilities to gamify the activities so they see it as an entertaining challenge rather than an academic activity.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

Some of my students feel a bit overwhelmed by Kahoot!, among other things due to the time limit, the music, etc. I would also like it to offer the possibility of integrating it with the WordPress ecosystem in some way.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to assign homework to my Spanish students in a way that I know they will complete and that they also find enjoyable. The possibility of accessing activities created by other teachers also greatly enriches the experience.

  ### 28. Kahoot- Great for students of all ages

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda H. | Educator , E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

Kahoot is an engaging tool to use in the classroom to assess students or review for a test or quiz informally. Students love the game-like format and earning points! What I like best is that it can used as a study tool. However students think it is a game.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

Honestly, there is nothing I dislike about Kahoot or the website. Their website is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. When hosting a game, many options are available that make differentiating the level of complexity for students easy.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kahoot solves the problem of engaging students in learning, studying, and assessing. Because of the game-like features, students want to play and be involved. This is beneficial to me because when I am teaching if I say that there will be a Kahoot at the end of the lesson, my students will pay more attention. After all, they want to win the Kahoot game.

  ### 29. Excellent and easy to use platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

It has been great but some features are not available in free version

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is the tool to teach and quickly recapture what we teach in the classroom. It is helpful tool to internalize what students learnt

  ### 30. Great Tool but cannot justify the Price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelsey A. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

Kahoot is so great for team games, meetings, training and so much more! It allows the creator to select from preexisting templates, or create their own! It is easy to use and very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

My issue with Kahoot! is that I cannot justify the subscription price for our small company. It also doesn't allow you to sign up for a one time event which I feel like is a huge miss on their end because I would use it often if it was reasonably priced like some of its competitors

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Kahoot! after a presentation to ensure my team understood the material that I was presenting. It's a great way to drive the point home in a fun environment!

  ### 31. Create audience quizzes with Kahoot!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will R. | Program Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

What we mainly like about the Kahoot platform is how we have gotten students more interested in learning through its tools. It has a straightforward interface allowing any person to adapt to it quite quickly; it creates online quizzes that provide more dynamic and effective communication with the audience. We are happy that nowadays, thanks to our tools with Kahoot, we can allow students to take some time for themselves and play through Kahoot. That way, through their phones, they can compete in a friendly manner while reviewing and reinforcing the topics already discussed in previous days.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

The Kahoot platform provides a lot of support for our organization. However, we can not fail to mention the biggest dislike we have, which is related to the cost of your license; we consider that they are very rigid on this issue since they do not offer subscription packages, perhaps with fewer tools but more economical, or at least a subscription per day to take advantage of the platform and address issues within the organization momentarily while it manages to grow more and has enough money for the payment of the license.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Undoubtedly, we have found it much more effective in transmitting any information to our students since everyone now always wants to learn through the games that Kahoot offers. It allowed our students to review all the information more dynamically and forget about the traditional physical questionnaires used before we had this platform. Now we have a higher attendance of students and a much more harmonious environment in terms of communication and relationship with the group regarding work.

  ### 32. General Review Kahoot

Kahgoot we use for games and collab calls very interactive and easy to use

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

Could be better if Kahoot can incorporate with other chat or cloud service for video calls

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incorpoorate with other apps or cloud service

  ### 33. A great online quiz tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kunal C. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

The User interface is very engaging and ensures users are easily able to get started with the quiz. Also, we integrated this with Airmeet and it has made process of quiz creation and launch very easy

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

I feel everything is great, but the user interface should be more customizable. Custom theme options can be very helpful to cover all the case. Rest all is good.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Kahoot to take realtime assessments in online classes. The benefit is that the entire lifecycle of quiz creation and use is really fast. And the reports generated are really useful.

Kahoot! offers several features that facilitate data collection and suitable knowledge bases; my company uses it to design and administer a wide variety of surveys to its staff. My organization has benefited greatly from using Kahoot! as I can now drill down on specific topics and advance them to an intermediate level in more routine survey activities. The incredible ease of use, good online training resources, and helpful customer service are just some features that make this software stand out.

It would be wonderful to see survey results in real-time, and I would also like to create more customized reports.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with group and individual learning, especially regarding assignments. Doing assignments and having review sessions has now been a lot more fun with the music. It really fits and isn't too overbearing or distracting.

Kahoot is undoubtedly one of our favourite employee engagement tools. It's an incredible tool for bringing people together while having fun.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

I feel that it's a little pricey, I really want them to focus on providing more affordable services. Yes, there is a free plan but most of the features are absent in the free version.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The 30-minute Kahoot sessions that we host every month are a big hit and something that all our employees look forward to. Honestly, I haven't been very convinced by any of its alternatives.

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2022

I love that I can use Kahoot with my work colleagues to help break the ice when starting a meeting. We can have fun while answering trivia questions I created related to our job duties.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

The downside is when I want to use someone else's quiz I may forget to check all the details and sometimes there's not enough time to answer the question which leaves players feeling frustrated.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kahoot allows me to present questions to my colleagues and then have an open conversation after each question. This makes an environment where everyone is free to add their thoughts and collaborate together.

  ### 42. Great tools for quizzes with kids and adults

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daria R. | Team Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

I like Kahoot because it is fun. It helps to get people's attention and it also helps to learn. The good thing about Kahoot is that there are different types of interactions with the audience. What I used the most are polls and quizzes. I used them for educational purposes as well as to interact with the audience at my live or online events.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

It is too complicated. There are too many options to choose from, it's hard to find what I need. That's why I stopped using them. The free version is very limited and I just couldn't try all the options and see if it is worth paying for.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Kahoot for educational presentations and business presentations. With educational presentations, Kahoot helped me to help the student remember the theory and prepare for the exam. Before the tests, I prepared a quiz and we did it with the students. It helped them to remember the main points, know what they need to read through, eased the tension before the test and it was lots of fun for all of us.
With business presentations, I used Kahoot to grab people's attention. If they what to look at their smartphones, they better do it with me using Kahoot. And after we do a short fun quiz everyone is ready to listen now.

  ### 43. Amazing for informal assessment data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

I like how simple it is to use and the data that it collects for myself and the students/staff I am using it with

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

I think that sometimes the main interface is hard to navigate and often there are glitches during games.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me and my teachers quick and engaging ways to take feedback and do something with it.

  ### 44. Great tool for engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beverly P. | Corporate Training Manager, Instructional Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

Kahoot allows students to take a break from the regular "classroom" and break out their phones for a friendly competition while reinforcing topics discussed.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

When using Kahoot live in the classroom, it doesn't perform well on wifi. We must have the host on a wired connection.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, using Kahoot helps solve the Zoom fatigue that so many talk about.

  ### 45. Kahoot is such a fun way to review and quiz my students.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brooke B. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

The most helpful thing about Kahoot is that my students actually look forward to playing. Before I started using Kahoot, reviewing with my students was like pulling teeth. Now, they look forward to logging on to kahoot.it, putting in the game code, and reviewing various topics. While it is so easy to create a Kahoot, there are also many premade Kahoots that I can use with my students. This saves me time in planning, which is major for a teacher.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

There are no downsides to Kahoot that I can think of. It is a great platform for reviewing and even quizzing my students. There is nothing I would improve with Kahoot.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kahoot has helped me give my students review time without using the traditional flashcards or calling out questions. My students look forward to Kahoot time in the classroom.

  ### 46. Educational game changer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly T. | ALPHA Mentor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

My favorite thing about Kahoot! is the ability to create interactive quizzes that you can share with colleagues! In this way, we are able to help each other and make work lighter! My kids really love this software and ultimately leave knowing they have learned something!

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

I would love for Kahoot to continue diversifying their games to prevent boredom. Providing different music options would be more fun for the kids also while they are playing the game.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kahoot naturally makes students more accountable for their learning, ensuring that they pay attention during educational sessions with me. I have noticed that my students have a easier time retaining content information when they know a Kahoot game is involved at the end of a lesson.

  ### 47. Kahoot makes classrooms more interesting.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Correy H. | Director of Alumni Engagement, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

My favorite aspect of Kahoot is because it is a fun approach to assessing my pupils' conceptual understanding. They are enthusiastic about playing Kahoot, but it's an exam showing which concepts they understand and need to be improved.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

I am a vast Kahoot fan. I utilize Kahoot in the classroom, and so do my kids. Kahoot is so simple to use and enjoyable to play that I can't think of a single thing I dislike about that now.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a terrific approach to engaging and inspiring students as they learn. It's also an excellent method of review. Frequently, I may discover one created by another teacher, duplicate it, and modify it to meet our requirements. This modification has saved a substantial amount of time.

  ### 48. Kahoot IS a hoot!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah T. | Special Projects Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

Kahoot is the method of reviewing and learning that students are consistently excited about. There's just something about making it a head-to-head game that motivates them in a new way and makes everyone sit up straight in their chairs as they plug the game code in to their phones! The platform is intuitive to set up questions, and the variety of question formats that also allows for information-gathering is beneficial in harnessing a captive audience for purposes beyond their review questions.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

I haven't gotten a really good grip on any of the features of Kahoot beyond the ability to create quizzes. The initial page after logging in comes off a bit overwhelming to me, and it's not the most intuitive to me until I get into the feature of quiz-building.

**Recommendations to others considering Kahoot!:**

Give it a try, and let the audience reaction speak for itself!

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been most fun for me to bring people of different generations together with games played via Kahoot. Partnering a scholarship recipient with their donor to play a trivia game about university history is a fun way for both audiences to be in their element--the student in their digital nativism and experience with Kahoot, and the donor in their knowledge of university history!

  ### 49. Kahoot: Making Trivias Fun !!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

During the pandemic, Kahoot has been an innovative and game-changing platform for all corporates and educational institutes. We can make our quizzes and assignments at our own pace and convenience and set times and categories according to the audience. It provides individual rankings and scoreboards and also a feature for the audience to improve their scores further. The platform interface and its theme is perfect and appealing to all kind of audience.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

There are no such downsides to Kahoot, just the fact that it requires strong internet connectivity for the participants to use it. Even with the increase in the number of participants the platform starts to lag a bit which might get a bit irritating for the participants. There should be an improvement in the maximum number of participants to play the quiz.

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

According to me Kahoothas changed the way of conducting fun trivia and helped the educational institutes and corporates to conduct quizzes and assignments remotely. This has made students and employees more engaged and interested in taking quizzes and assessments.

  ### 50. Kahoot! will rock your class

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathalie B. | Teacher and responsible EdTech, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Kahoot!?**

Kahoot! is a wonderful tool to get students motivated and enthusiastic about learning. It is easy to use and the students love it. It is clear and quick. There are different games and you can download the reports at the end of the game. The students also love the podium.

**What do you dislike about Kahoot!?**

Some of the features are not free. Sometimes it is annoying because I just want to use that feature. There is nothing else to dislike. Kahoot added pictures and made the text bigger. We also use folders now.

**Recommendations to others considering Kahoot!:**

Kahoot is a very easy tool, every teacher should try it out. The students love it and you can play it in class or set it as homework. It is practical to use at the beginning of a unit as an introduction and at the end as a revision. You will not regret it!

**What problems is Kahoot! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The students were not motivated. Now they are. Kahoot offers quick revision possibilities. We also use exit tickets. Sometimes we use Kahoot to introduce a lesson.
