It uses AI to turn messy borrower packages into decision-ready credit analysis, so underwriters spend their time on judgment instead of data entry. Kaaj is built for equipment finance companies, commercial loan brokers, merchant cash advance (MCA) funders, community banks, credit unions, and SMB lenders. How it works: a broker or borrower sends a deal by email, portal, API, or shared drive. Kaaj splits combined PDFs, classifies and renames every file across 40+ lending document types (including handwritten applications), flags missing and duplicate documents, and extracts the fields underwriters need. From there Kaaj runs the checks a credit analyst would: - KYB business verification: live Secretary of State records with time-stamped screenshots in all 50 states, EIN and owner verification, driver's license authentication, OFAC screening, lien, judgment, and bankruptcy searches, NAICS classification, negative news, and SAFER data for trucking. - Bank statement analysis: 99.7% parsing accuracy and a median 48.8 seconds per statement in production (September 2026). Reads scanned and multi-bank PDFs without templates and separates true revenue from transfers, owner draws, loan and MCA proceeds. Tracks NSFs, negative days, average daily balance, and MCA stacking. - Document fraud detection: 25+ forensic signals per document in under 5 seconds, including edited text, PDF metadata anomalies, and mismatches across the application, state records, bank statements, and IDs. - Equipment invoice review: hard vs. soft costs, VIN decoding, market price checks, and vendor verification. - Financial spreading and credit memos: spreads financial statements and tax returns into the lender's own Excel model, checks every credit policy rule, and drafts the credit memo in the lender's committee template in about 5-7 minutes. Every number links back to the page it came from, and underwriters make the final credit decision. Kaaj is not a loan origination system. It works on top of the CRM or LOS a lender already uses (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, LeasePath, LTi Aspire, Pipedrive, Zoho) and is also available through a REST API and webhooks. Most lenders go live in two to three weeks. Kaaj is SOC 2 Type II compliant and has processed more than $20B in loan originations across customers including Amur Equipment Finance, Quality Equipment Finance, Smarter Finance USA, Fundr, Brickhouse Capital, and I90 Financial.
