They consistently do not read questions thoroughly, address us by the wrong company name, misspell admin names, and show a general lack of care. They also continue to force software changes that are barely functional with no proper lead time to implement the change with our team. I wanted to like this company so badly, but after years of bad customer service and little account support, I am beyond frustrated. This poor experience has detracted from any positives of the software. **What do you dislike about Justworks?** The deadlines for processing payroll, especially with holiday weekends causes chaos for us. Our previous payroll processer allowed us to report payroll the day before employees got paid. Now with Justworks, we have to report by either the Monday before payday, or if its a holiday weekend, the friday before, so a full week before employees get paid. We have staff that work late on Fridays, but on a holiday weekend, we must process payroll by 2 pm. Our options are to guess their hours or pay them off-cycle, which is inconvenient at best, and causes increase expenses for us at worst. The PTO system is terrible, hard to use, and often inaccurate. Their taxing system for commission employees is confusing and often wrong. Many of my commission based employees have experienced major issues with their withholdings, having either too little or too much taken out. This causes continual issues and headaches. Justworks support never helps. Additionally, our staff received what were supposed to be tax free bonuses from our State, but Justwork's software did not have a way for us to disburse the bonuses without taxing them. This caused a huge (and understandable) uproar among the staff. We have also had major issues with their 401K setup. Finally, their customer service and account managment is flat out terrible. Any time you contact support it feels like you are talking to a chat bot or a poorly trained employee. Rarely is support able to resolve our issues for us. After three years using this software / PEO, I would not recommend them to anyone. I have never experienced a website issue either so reliability is also a plus. **What do you dislike about Justworks?** I do not have a negative remark for Justworks at this time. It isn't cluttered with excess features that we don't need. For a small company like ours, it's a great solution to streamline payroll, benefits, time off, and compliance. It also costs less than big-name PEOs like ADP or TriNet without compromising on essential functionality, and it is fairly straightforward to configure for remote employees working in different states. Customer service uses real humans, who are for the most part very friendly and helpful. Switching to Justworks has saved us a lot of frustration for both employees and admiistrators compared to other PEOs and payroll platforms. In addition, the partnership with HealthAdvocate provides an extra resource for employees who need assistance with their insurance benefits. Partnerships with Teledoc, Talkspace, and Mineral (for compliance guidance and employee handbook creation) are beneficial, too. We also appreciate the variety of health insurance plans we're able to offer through Justworks at reasonable costs. Implementation was easy, and we have no compelling reasons to consider alternatives to Justworks at this time. **What do you dislike about Justworks?** Some processes, such as updating employees' salaries or departments in their profiles, are very manual. While handling this is feasible for our smaller company, it would be very time-consuming to click into 50+ individual employee profiles, edit, and save. The reporting feature has new capabilities this year, but still has room to improve in filters and visualizations. Another technical improvement would be improving the built in e-signature platform, or partering with a known entity such as DocuSign. Currently, you can have an employee sign to indicate that they have received a document electronically, but there is no way to place signature blanks or other fields within the document itself. Finally, Justworks' newsletters sometimes have a "woke" vibe and use excessive slang, pop culture references, etc. This may be a plus for some, but we would prefer a more neutral tone. **What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Payroll, benefits, time off, and compliance are all in one easy to use platform. Justworks serves as the Employer of Record in states where it is allowed, which helps our remote team. ### 18. I also wish we could actually track PTO for international employees. It also uses legal first name on the calendar when someone starts (until they've done their side of enrollment) which is bad if you have a trans team member joining and they have not legally changes their name. With our previous Payroll and Benefits providers, our admmin worked as a middleman between multiple parties who managed different aspects of payroll and benefits. Customer support is quick and helpful, and the benefits and ancellary perks have been enjoyable so far. **What do you dislike about Justworks?** I find it mildly inconveniant to have different amounts deducted from my paychecks per month, e.g. HSA is deducted from the second check only as opposed to being split evenly across that month's checks. It requires me to do some accounting to account for different amounts during the month, and each paycheck is not always the same amount so it requires some double-checking. **What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Justworks pays me on time, and manages both payroll and benefits.
