"Strong Cross-Platform Directory & Device Management for Growing Security Teams"
4/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

JumpCloud does a really solid job unifying identity and device management in a way that feels modern and API-driven. For organizations that are cloud-first and don’t want to maintain traditional on-prem AD infrastructure, it provides a clean alternative that supports macOS, Windows, and Linux in a single console.

I especially appreciate the cross-platform support and the ability to tie users to devices, policies, and SSO apps from one directory. The policy engine for password enforcement and device control is straightforward, and the conditional access capabilities are strong for organizations trying to move toward a Zero Trust model.

Implementation is also relatively smooth compared to standing up and maintaining legacy directory infrastructure. Once agents are deployed, ongoing management becomes predictable and scalable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Like most platforms trying to be both directory + MDM + IAM, some areas feel deeper than others. Advanced MDM workflows, especially on macOS, can feel less mature than more Mac-native tools. Reporting can also require some digging depending on the visibility you’re looking for.

Pricing can scale quickly as you layer on features, especially if you are using it heavily for SSO, device management, and directory services together. Larger environments may want to carefully model licensing and feature tiers before committing long term.

Support has generally been responsive, but highly technical troubleshooting sometimes requires escalation, which can slow things down when you’re dealing with time-sensitive endpoint issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"JumpCloud Unifies Asset Management, Cloud LDAP, and SSO Seamlessly"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

What I like best is how JumpCloud unifies asset management, Cloud LDAP, and SSO into a single platform. It eliminates the need for separate tools, making it seamless to manage our hardware assets while providing secure, centralized identity access to both legacy LDAP environments and modern cloud apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

To be honest, I haven't encountered anything that I dislike. If you take the time to familiarize yourself with the platform, you get to have all your management needs unified into a single online tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Reliable SSO with Easy Slack Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

As a user, I find it pretty straightforward to use day in and day out for SSO purposes, and it’s also easy to integrate with other apps like Slack. It performs very well, and the uptime has been solid and reliable. Overall, the tool feels intuitive and easy to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

As a user, the only area for improvement I’ve noticed—and it’s not significant—is that the UI could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Warning about their billing scam"
0/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

The cross platform management seemed good at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

SCAMMING BILLING. Their system adds users to your account on it's own without your consent, they follow this up with "high watermark billing" for your next billing cycle. In our case, they added twice as many users that we had or needed or asked for or agreed to, and tried to bill us for an entire year based on the users their system added without our permission. It's frankly unbelievable.

When presented with this info, they confirmed their system did this on its own, and still insisted we pay for their mistake. What a joke! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient SSO and User Management That Strengthens SaaS Security"
4.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

JumpCloud’s SSO, user management, and app controls are extremely efficient. I can create, assign, and manage users from a single place, and the option to approve or block specific SaaS apps has noticeably strengthened our company’s security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

My main pain point has been the lack of integrations with a few tools our company relies on. JumpCloud handles the major platforms well, but some of the more niche applications we use every day still aren’t supported, so we have to manage those separately. If the integration library were expanded, JumpCloud would feel like a truly all-in-one solution for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A very complete solution"
4/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

Has a lot of functions and it is compatible with many environments. The implementation was straightforward and their team was very present. I like that you'll have not only an SSO but also an MDM and Remote Desktop on the same solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

It has some minor bugs, but their team replies fast with solutions. The customization for your needs is a little difficult but mostly possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Identity & Patch Management with Few Hiccups"
4/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like that they continue adding new features, new things that are actually helpful, making it much easier for troubleshooting. When John Smith submits a ticket, I can just go right to his user in JumpCloud, see all the devices he's assigned to, see the policies, and run commands in the background. It means I don't need to remote onto as many devices, and it makes troubleshooting much easier. I don't have to worry about the end user telling me what their computer name or serial is; I can just see it all in the JumpCloud portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

We've had a few issues, mostly with Microsoft security. When users reset their JumpCloud password and log back into Windows, all their Edge and Chrome passwords are gone. We often face issues with an account being added to access work or school, causing errors when users try to open Outlook or Word until we remove it. I've opened trouble tickets with JumpCloud, and they're working to resolve it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent MDM with Fast Integration, But Some FileVault Hiccups"
4/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like JumpCloud's integration with Google Workspace and Office 365 because it helps keep our user accounts unified and synced across most of our platforms and services. I also appreciate how quickly commands are sent to laptops, with unlocking and locking user accounts being almost instantaneous. The preconfigured configuration profiles and instructions made the initial setup relatively easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

There's some issues with how JumpCloud interacts with macOS FileVault. If an account is locked and then the device reboots, it's impossible to unlock the account until a different user logs in and re-connects to the internet. The admin portal has gotten slower since the redesign, especially the search bar. Alerts/notification channels don't seem to work properly when replaying those alerts via email. "AD is not the way for everyone. MFA on Linux/Mac and Win is HUGE!"
3.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

We work in a media-centric environment, we move and catalog media assets all day long. This environment is best suited by utilizing Mac laptops and Linux servers. We have very few PC devices. We realized that Active Directory and a couple domain controllers were not appropriate for our environment, too much overhead, too little to gain. Then we found Jumpcloud, our directory service in the cloud. Jumpcloud gave us a huge amount of flexibility when it came to what types of devices we can support without having to take care of domain controllers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

As JC continues to roll out more features, figuring out how to implement everything fully can feel a bit daunting. There have been times when I’ve reached out to support with questions and specific use-case scenarios. They aren’t always the fastest, but they do respond. The documentation is also solid and, importantly, it isn’t obscured by marketing hype, so it’s easy to find and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless MDM with Top-Notch Features"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like using JumpCloud for user account and device management. It's the first tool I've used that allows me to set up a dedicated user profile once a user is bound to a device, which is really useful. I also appreciate how it enforces policy and reduces manual work and repetitive tasks for IT technicians. JumpCloud's latest features make it stand out as a potential leading MDM tool in the corporate world. The initial setup was straightforward, like plug and play. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Under patch updates other than OS updates, it's better to include driver, BIOS & application updates automatically. Better if it had Windows OS customization and web filtering. Based on device hardware, get the updates from manufacturer portals like for Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc. Instead of the default Windows OS from the web, we can customize, like built-in applications attached and drivers, etc., for the default OS.
