Jumpcel is a Microsoft Excel add-in for analysts, FP&A, M&A and auditors — anyone responsible for the numbers in a complex model. It is made by BIG4 and investment banking financial modelling professionals. Formula navigation: press Ctrl+Q on any cell to see its formula broken into parts, each with its value. Select a part to highlight its cells, press Enter to jump to a precedent and Ctrl+Backspace to go back. Dependents and precedents: find every formula in your open workbooks that uses a selected range, and everything the range depends on — level by level. Formula map: color a sheet by cell type — copied and unique formulas, inconsistent formulas, hard-coded numbers. Close the window and your original colors come back. Formula audit: a report sheet listing every suspicious cell in the workbook, with links to the cells and a column to mark what you have checked. Model optimization: find what makes a file large and slow — unused names and styles, formatting beyond the data, hidden objects, volatile functions — and clean a copy, never the original.
