JSU has made it straightforward for us to extend Jira workflows on Data Center without the need to write custom scripts, and we've relied on it for over five years. The tool offers an excellent range of conditions, validators, and post-functions that address the majority of our automation requirements. From my experience, most of these features are also available on the cloud version, though not all, due to limitations imposed by Atlassian Cloud rather than the plugin itself.
