## jQuery Mobile Reviews
  ### 1. I think that today we have tools more efficient and more fresh for that.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about jQuery Mobile?**

Some compounds are very useful back in the days. But this today we have some frameworks and libs more capable and with more components. Five years ago i like to use it just at that time was the best framework to convert to mobile some apps. In that project we already use jQuery, and jQueryUI, so jQueryMobile was a complement for our needs. We use a lot of components like for example, forms, listviews, navbars, buttons, popups, etc.

**What do you dislike about jQuery Mobile?**

Lack of components, support, no community, bugs, low performance, stops in time... I guest the project jQuery Mobile project was abandoned, with some critical bugs and a old look in comparation with some news frameworks and libs. When i'm used jQuery Mobile i need to make big workarrounds to make functional some components to my needs, so i have some struggles. Today we have some frameworks and libs with more versatility, such bootstrap and materializecss, for example. One of the most dislike form me, was the grid system, we have some strugles and we not use any more.

**What problems is jQuery Mobile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Five years ago i used so much jQuery Mobile in one application, we develop in my last company. With that we gave support to mobile screens. But after some time we replace jQuery Mobile. When we decided to use jQuery Mobile, we needed to streamline development, so i mention before we already use jQuery and jQuery UI, so we go to jQuery Mobile, but despite all the constraints and difficulties, it was still advantageous at the time.

  ### 2. Excellent in times of decreasing trials, no longer so important

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about jQuery Mobile?**

Com for assistance, and now it is not feasible to find the solution in time. Com for assistance, and it is no longer possible to locate the answer in time. Quite useful in the user interface design segment during mobile application development. I can exchange small codes to create a prototype for my company. The learning curve is almost nonexistent if you have an average inheritance of JavaScript.

**What do you dislike about jQuery Mobile?**

Nothing extreme. Mobile devices have a truly limited computer and memory, and jQuery Mobile uses resources quietly, especially during page transitions and push calls. It is much more difficult to develop a robust mobile application in jQuery Mobile than the alternative. Now it is no longer up-to-date.

**Recommendations to others considering jQuery Mobile:**

I reflected on the initiative to provide more ease to mobile devices, I use them in my projects and it undoubtedly offers the greatest satisfaction with jQuery Mobile. It is perfect for short prototypes, maybe some websites with heavy transitions. No backend head. If you need to use the cross-platform mobile framework, I simply fear that too many jQuery plugins loaded on my website could also gradually slow it down. There are many lighter and more effective alternatives, however, jQuery Mobile is packaged with everything you want.

**What problems is jQuery Mobile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I no longer use it much for real improvement... Instead of creating a native application, we created a mobile web page with jQuery Mobile, saving many hours of work. We completed the project in 2 months with 2 systems, iOS and Android.

  ### 3. jQuery Mobile Is Much Less Useful These Days

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** C. Spencer B. | Senior Software Engineer, Staffing and Recruiting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about jQuery Mobile?**

jQuery Mobile does a really great job with browser support. The project really is the go-to place if you need to normalize development for a wide variety of mobile browsers.

**What do you dislike about jQuery Mobile?**

With React and Angular and other single-page application frameworks allowing much more declarative styles, much of jQuery UIs page structure and widgets feel old and clunky. It is much harder to develop a robust mobile app in jQuery Mobile than the alternative.

**Recommendations to others considering jQuery Mobile:**

jQuery Mobile is amazong, but it's looking long in the tooth. If you are doing something non-trivial, use React or Angular.

**What problems is jQuery Mobile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I can't rely on users to have modern browsers or I need to support a wide variety of devices, I often use jQuery Mobile to prototype. That is a pretty efficient process. I don't use it that much for actual development anymore.

  ### 4. jQuery Mobile is a powerful tool but I feel that it still needs some improvement.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about jQuery Mobile?**

- Easy adaptability with jQuery and Javascript
- Things made sense given some time and after that, it became second nature to me

**What do you dislike about jQuery Mobile?**

- When I first worked with jQuery Mobile it took me some time to familiarize myself with the mobile-first approach.
- When it comes to larger databases, it was tough for it to load fast, but that is also can be said with jQuery as well. When you are given so much power and you don't know how to use your code efficiently, then things like this can come up. Thankfully over the years I know what to watch out for but for someone new it may be a difficult thing for them to understand.

**What problems is jQuery Mobile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly work on my own personal apps from time to time and also some client websites. However to be honest, I don't use jQuery Mobile too much anymore since I felt that jQuery itself is good enough. I do like the theme that jQuery Mobile comes with when I first explored it, but now I am so used to customizing my own themes and styling my own containers I don't widely use it anymore. I am just afraid that too much jQuery plugins loaded into my website may slow it down.

  ### 5. Easy to set up but a bit outdated

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Love D. | CEO & Co-Founder, Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2016

**What do you like best about jQuery Mobile?**

It is very easy to set up, and with a theme it looks almost exactly like a native app

**What do you dislike about jQuery Mobile?**

The classic problem of a good out-of-the-box experience is that it is harder to make changes when you want. This applies to jQuery Mobile.

**What problems is jQuery Mobile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of creating a native app we made an mobile webpage with jQuery mobile, saving many many hours of work.

**What do you dislike about jQuery Mobile?**

A bit slow. Limited functions and themes.

  ### 7. Basic exposure

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2016

**What do you like best about jQuery Mobile?**

It has a decent layout engine and good supporting documentation

**What do you dislike about jQuery Mobile?**

This is primarily UI driven components, there is nothing naitve

**What problems is jQuery Mobile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A native looking user experience on a single code base across all devices.
