## Joule Reviews
  ### 1. SAP Joule’s AI Consultation Feature Saves Time and Effort

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan W. | SAP counsultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

Consultation and other documentation are currently our main use cases. It’s not perfect, but if it can get 80% of the effort done in a fraction of the time, then we’re ahead. In particular, I feel the AI feature for consultation is the best one to rely on.

Automating ordering (PR -> PO) is still in the early stages, but it could also become a big area of automation for us. Overall, I’d suggest it’s good because you’ll learn about SAP Business AI. Also, SAP is putting a lot of investment and effort into SAP Joule, so I feel it will pay off.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I work for a consultancy, and we use it for things like creating an employee termination. The issue isn’t only the limited use cases, though. A lot of the time it simply doesn’t work: it often doesn’t understand what we want, and it can even slow the process down compared with just making a few clicks.

I genuinely like the idea, but the current implementation feels messy and unreliable. For example, our in-house joule inside the demo SF system is intentionally set up to not work properly about 95% of the time. That might be “wanted” behavior for sales demos, but I honestly don’t understand why.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is mainly useful for consultancy work. If I compare it with other chatbots, its perspective on SAP development and configuration is much better for consultants. It helps by showing the steps involved or how to perform an activity. That said, AI is still mostly a buzzword across the business world right now, and the main usage I see nowadays is in AI-powered search functions.

  ### 2. Big Time-Saver for SAP Data and Tasks, But Still Needs More Context and Depth

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shashank s. | Analyst , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

Honestly, Joule has been a lifesaver for cutting down the daily grind. Instead of clicking through endless tabs or getting bogged down in busywork, I can just ask for what I need in plain English, like I’m messaging a coworker.

It connects the dots behind the scenes by pulling data straight from SAP and our outside apps. Rather than wasting time hunting for numbers, we get the exact information we need right away so we can make fast decisions. On top of that, it takes care of a lot of those tedious, multi-step tasks in the background, which helps the whole team move faster and work more smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I’ve noticed the tool still has a few rough edges. My biggest frustration is that its answers can feel generic or half-baked, which means I usually end up double-checking everything anyway. It also struggles to grasp the real context of what I’m asking for, and sometimes it gives advice that simply doesn’t fit my specific situation. And when I try to push it with more advanced requests, I tend to hit a wall. Between the usage limits and some weird integration hiccups, I almost always have to step in and finish the job manually.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest headache Joule fixes for me is the sheer amount of time I used to waste digging through complex menus and bouncing between different systems just to find one piece of data. Instead of dealing with information trapped in departmental silos or getting bogged down in tedious busywork, I can simply ask for what I need in plain English. It pulls everything together behind the scenes and takes care of the repetitive tasks—like cross-referencing numbers or tracking down specific records—right where I’m already working. It’s a huge relief because I’m no longer losing hours just trying to gather and format information. I get the context I need right away, which helps me make quicker decisions and focus on getting my real work done without all the constant friction.

  ### 3. Official Docs Are Helpful, But the Platform Still Feels Basic vs. Competitors

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John H. | SAP consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

It's nice that it pulls it's infos out of official documentation other than that there aren't any coherent things I like. It is more of an extensive enterprise grade natural language interface running on cloud.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I honestly feel it’s still at a very basic level, and there are many other AI platforms that handle SAP work much better and more efficiently. The “hit or miss” behavior seems to come from the architecture: routing a user query to the right skill/agent configuration among thousands of other configs, apart from S/4, SF, etc., isn’t consistently reliable. On top of that, conversation stickiness with an agent is another major issue.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Joule for consulting, which my company provided as part of implementation projects, and it’s slightly better than the regular ChatGPT. I definitely believe it’s going to keep improving, so I’m sticking with it. The best part, in my view, is that it answers questions in NLP using past data, bringing information from multiple SAP systems into one conversation instead of requiring users to open several different apps.

  ### 4. Productivity Boost with Joule, Though Complex Queries Need More Tuning

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mr. Prakash G. | Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

What I like most about Joule is that it helps simplify everyday tasks by providing quick access to information and automating repetitive work. It saves time, improves productivity, and makes it easier to get answers without having to search through multiple systems manually. The integration with enterprise workflows is also useful.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

The main thing I dislike about Joule is that the quality of responses can depend heavily on the available data and configuration. For more complex or specific requests, it may require additional context or manual verification. I would also like to see more customization options and a smoother experience for advanced use cases.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joule helps reduce the time spent searching for information and handling repetitive tasks. It makes it easier to access relevant insights, get quick answers, and improve productivity across daily workflows. This helps save time and allows me to focus more on higher-value tasks instead of manual information gathering.

  ### 5. Efficient SAP AI Assistant with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dheeraj S. | Assurance Consultant - Audit, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

I use Joule as an AI assistant within SAP to quickly find information, get help with SAP processes, and simplify day-to-day tasks. I like its quickness to provide relevant answers, which helps simplify SAP tasks. It saves time by reducing the need to navigate through multiple screens or search through documentation. The conversational experience makes it easy to get the information I need. The initial setup was also quite easy, simple, and straightforward, not requiring much expertise.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I wish Joule could improve its answers by making them more consistently accurate and context-aware, especially for complex or company-specific SAP processes. Sometimes the responses from Joule are a bit generic, so more precise, actionable guidance and better integration with SAP workflows would make it even more useful.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Joule to quickly find info, simplify SAP tasks, and save time by avoiding multiple screens and documents. It could be better with more accurate, context-aware answers, especially for complex SAP processes.

  ### 6. Intuitive Automation with Room for Growth

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lokesh Reddy S. | Process mining and automation consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

I like that Joule is handy and very simple to use, requiring no coding knowledge. It's great that functional experts can effortlessly create solutions. I appreciate being able to create workflows without having extensive workflow knowledge by just using natural language commands. Joule is well integrated with SAP applications and also public cloud applications, making it seamless to use. The inclusion of APIs and authentication adds to its usability. I find it helpful that Joule comes with out-of-the-box connectors for SAP applications, making integration ready and straightforward for daily use. Additionally, the initial setup of Joule was quite easy as we could just follow the guide from SAP and start building things right away.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I feel like Joule is not that stable in most cases, especially with on-premises systems, which need a lot of improvement. Connecting with SAP can be tricky, and integration with other non-SAP systems is a bit difficult. There's also a lot of room to improve when it comes to process analysis and data analysis. It feels like there's a long way to go in these areas.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Joule to automate SAP workflows without needing deep workflow knowledge. It lets me create workflows using natural language commands. Joule is simple to use, with no coding needed, and offers handy connectors for SAP applications, making integrations smooth.

  ### 7. Instant SAP Data Access with Joule, Yet Needs Refinement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DEEPAK O. | Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

I use Joule for quick access to SAP data and insights like checking order status and HR queries. I like how it saves time by pulling info straight from SAP without having to dig through multiple screens. The ability to understand plain language queries cuts down on training needs, and it helps our team get quick answers during busy periods without waiting on other departments. I appreciate how Joule stands out by understanding natural language queries and pulling the right data instantly, so I don't need to know exact transaction codes or navigate deep menus. It significantly cuts down our reliance on SAP experts since anyone can just ask in plain language and get instant answers. The initial setup was fairly straightforward since it's built into our existing SAP environment.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I sometimes struggle because Joule needs rephrasing for complex or ambiguous queries to get the right result. It also occasionally lacks context on niche, company-specific processes.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joule saves us time by pulling info straight from SAP, cutting down on training needs and helping our team get quick answers by understanding plain language queries.

  ### 8. Streamlines Recruitment with Customizable Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohd Aquid S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

I use Joule to streamline candidate sourcing, generate job descriptions, and automate daily HR workflow as a US IT recruiter. Joule saves me hours of administrative work by handling the time-consuming bottleneck of manual candidate screening and writing repetitive outreach messages, allowing me to focus entirely on engaging top tech talent. The best part about Joule is its ability to draft highly customized outreach messages and job descriptions, which understand the specific technical requirements I'm looking for and help me engage with the top talent much faster. These features save me a lot of time by generating personalized outreach messages and job descriptions, connecting me with the right candidates faster and improving the quality and consistency of my hiring process. The initial setup was very easy, with an intuitive interface allowing our team to start using Joule with minimal training and a smooth onboarding process. I also find it helpful to use Joule alongside LinkedIn recruiter, job boards, and my ATS, which streamlines sourcing, candidate outreach, and job description creation, making my recruitment workflow more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

Overall, Joule has been a great experience, but I think it could improve by providing more accurate candidate matching and faster response time for complex queries. I also wish there were additional customization options for outreach messages and job descriptions. These enhancements would make the hiring process much more efficient.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Joule to streamline candidate sourcing, generate job descriptions, and automate daily HR workflow. It saves hours by reducing manual candidate screening and drafting personalized outreach messages, allowing me to engage with top tech talent faster and improve hiring consistency.

  ### 9. Great for Everyday SAP Tasks, but ADT Support Still Needs to Catch Up

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sachin A. | Application Development Senior Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

What I like best about SAP Joule is how naturally it brings AI into everyday SAP tasks. Instead of navigating multiple screens or transactions, users can ask questions in plain language and get relevant insights or complete actions more quickly. It helps reduce repetitive work, improves productivity, and makes SAP systems more accessible, especially for users who are not deeply familiar with the underlying processes.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

One limitation I've noticed is that Joule's capabilities in ABAP Development Tools (ADT) are still fairly limited compared to what developers expect from a modern AI coding assistant. While it can assist with certain development tasks, it doesn't yet provide the same depth of support for code generation, refactoring, debugging, or project-wide context that would significantly speed up ABAP development. As the ADT integration continues to evolve, expanding these capabilities would make Joule much more valuable for day-to-day development work.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joule helps reduce the time spent understanding unfamiliar code and writing unit tests. For developers, it can explain existing code, summarize the purpose of classes and methods, and make it easier to understand complex business logic without manually tracing every line. It also assists with generating or improving unit tests, helping ensure better code quality while reducing the effort needed to create test cases. This speeds up development, improves productivity, and makes onboarding to existing projects much easier.

  ### 10. Game-Changing in SAP, but Setup and Flexibility Can Be a Hurdle

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav M. | Software Engineer, Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

Joule is a real game-changer for SAP development. It genuinely understands the business context—it feels like a teammate who knows S/4HANA and Digital Manufacturing inside and out. Because it’s embedded in Fiori, I’m not constantly switching tabs, and navigating UI5 apps becomes much smoother. Overall, it keeps my workflow far cleaner and takes care of the tedious data-hunting for me.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

Setting up Joule is honestly a headache—BTP permissions and IAS sync issues feel like a part-time job. While it's a genius with SAP data, it can feel a bit "stiff" and restricted when you’re doing creative coding or React work. It lives in its own SAP bubble, which is great until you need to step outside of it!

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joule kills the constant "tab-switching" fatigue. It’s like having a senior dev in my pocket who knows every SAP table by heart. It explains messy legacy code in seconds and handles boring unit tests, so I can actually focus on the fun logic building. It’s basically a shortcut past the enterprise "busy work"!

  ### 11. Saves Time, Enhances Workflow Efficiency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul B. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

I use Joule to quickly get insights, summarize information, and make everyday work tasks easier and faster. I like how easy it is to use and how quickly it gives useful answers and insights, saving me a lot of time. The initial setup was fairly easy and straightforward. It didn’t take much time to get started and learn the basic features. I’d rate it 8 out of 10 because it’s easy to use, saves time, and makes everyday tasks more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

Sometimes the responses can be a bit generic, and it could improve by giving more accurate and context-specific suggestions.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Joule to get insights quickly, summarize information, and speed up routine tasks, saving me time and reducing manual effort.

  ### 12. Joule: Efficient Configuration Aid with Some Setup Hurdles

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ram b. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

I appreciate Joule's better UI and how it answers most of the queries. It's like a chatbot and is easy to use, with responses tailored to the requirements. Unlike in the past where I needed to go through SAP learning, Google search, and other online sources to get the answers, Joule is a one-stop shop. It really helps as a consultant by reducing the configuration and build time and assisting our FA to better review the configuration.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

We're facing some challenges in activating Joule for Ariba, but we're working with SAP to fix this. Also, I've found that the initial setup isn't an easy one. We're waiting to move to RISE since Joule only works once on RISE.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joule helps our FA better review configurations and reduces build time. It has a better UI and satisfactorily answers most queries. It's like a chatbot, easy to use, with tailored responses without the need to search through learning materials or online sources.

  ### 13. Efficient AI for SAP, Needs Better Complex Query Handling

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

I like that Joule acts as an AI assistant within the SAP ecosystem, allowing me to quickly find information using natural language. It's particularly valuable for answering questions about SAP processes, summarizing data, and assisting with day-to-day business tasks, which boosts my productivity by reducing the time spent searching for information and navigating different applications. I appreciate Joule's natural language interface and its seamless integration with SAP applications, which makes it easy to ask questions in plain English and get quick, relevant answers. The way it simplifies navigation, provides useful insights, and automates routine tasks also saves me time and improves productivity. Furthermore, the initial setup of Joule was straightforward due to its integration with the SAP ecosystem, and the natural language interface made it simple to use without much training, aided by the available documentation and SAP guidance.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

One area for improvement with Joule is handling more complex or highly specific tasks with greater accuracy and context. Sometimes, the responses need manual verification. When working with large datasets or asking multistep business questions involving information from different SAP modules, I would like the responses to be faster and more context-aware. Additionally, it would be helpful if organizations could customize Joule to fit their specific business processes, terminologies, and workflows to make responses more relevant to the specific environment. Better personalization based on user roles and frequently used tasks would also improve the overall experience.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Joule as an AI assistant in the SAP ecosystem. It quickly provides info, answers SAP questions, and simplifies tasks, enhancing productivity by reducing search time across applications. Its integration and natural language interface streamline my workflow and make daily work more efficient.

  ### 14. Efficient and Secure, but Limited On-Prem Access and Complex Licensing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jesse b. | SALES ASSISTANCE, Manufacturing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

SAP Joule is very useful for increasing efficiencies and supporting complex decision-making. It also feels very secure, especially for a cloud-based tool. Joule streamlines navigation by making it easier to find and move through the apps you’re looking for.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

SAP Joule has limited access for on-premise users, so it’s best suited for SAP’s cloud-based software. It also comes with a complex licensing model, which makes it harder to calculate overall costs and fees.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Joule helps solve several issues and challenges in supply chain management and sales. It is very useful for planning customer needs and forecasting sales.

  ### 15. Great Real-Time Data and Reporting, but Complex Setup and SAP-Only Limits

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** arnab s. | Technical Support Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

the langhuage integration is good, can provide real time business data, easy report creating, approving request and invoice processing, good to embebbed with s4 hana

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

can only work in sap ecosystem and sometimes connectivity issue, the implementation is a bit complex and requires additional license costs and the ai is not always perfect as compared

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

can able to make decission faster and all in one environment for invoice processing and provides real time data which helps to track all data at once automation is good

  ### 16. Joule Saves Time with Helpful Workflow Automation

**What do you like best about Joule?**

What I like best about Joule is that it automates routine tasks and provide helpful AI assistance within workflows. It saves time and makes everyday work more efficinet.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

What I dislike about Joule is that it has a bit of learning curve, and some AI suggestions still need manual review before they can be used Confidently.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joule helps automate repetitive tasks and provide Ai assistance within daily workflows. This saves me time, improves productivity, and lets me focus on more important work.

  ### 17. Effortless Timesheet Management, Slight Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

The main feature I'm using it for is time sheet management, I find it very useful. It enables me to have a very clear overview of the number of hours worked on one project or item. It has a very clear classification of the hours and separation per task or per project. This helps me have a better overview of the team workload & capacity, and the time spent on certain projects or tasks. The initial setup was quite easy, and it's very simple to pin the main features we are using.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I find it difficult to add/create a new project section in the timesheet management.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joule helps me track hours spent on projects, workload, and capacity. It provides a clear overview and classification, making timesheet management easier.

  ### 18. Great Integration and Support, But Performance Speed Can Lag

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** June M. | Credit Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

Intergration and performance makes things easy...The support is great so I would definitely recommend to others. The pricing wasn't bad either another perk

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

Sometimes it worries me with the slow perfomance so if I could think of one thing to change it would be the perfomance speed. But then again it may be only on my end of things

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well based on my previous expereince with different products its easier to navigate and incorporate with my everyday business plans. With any product theres pros and cons

  ### 19. Automatic SAP Integration That Simplifies Setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

The automatic integration with SAP infrastructure and integration with the native tools. Specifically IBP and S4, without having to export data to a spreadsheet and then import back into AI model.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

The setup is extremely touchy and the documentation isn't the best on how to integrate Joule with multiple different SAP platforms at once. For example, integrating with IBP and S4, the setup within BTP and IAS for the different authorization methods is complex

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joule is being utilized to integrate into IBP and analyze data automatically without having to export from excel and make your own analysis. Not having to export data to analyze is where the immediate benefit can be seen.

  ### 20. Joule studio 2.0 review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subrote M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

Joule studio 2.0 which gives power to business super users to start agentic AI journey where intent comes first.
The fact that Business AI now had BDC, signavio, business models and knowledge graph providing the context - means agents build would be much more powerful.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

During the hands on sessions, many a times we found errors during agent, BDC data product or CAP application creation. Seems the underlying tech is not yet ready although the direction is positive

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Build AI agents for BPO operations which has a measurable financial and effieicieny impact.
However as a product Joule is directionally strong but doesn’t seem ready yet.

  ### 21. Application SME

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

It provides employees with easy access to start processes, such as requesting time off or giving feedback to colleagues. I also appreciate the simplified navigation, which makes it quicker to find what I need.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

Implementing something a bit more advanced requires a lot of work. For example, creating policies that Joule can understand takes real effort and careful setup. I also feel the example SAP uses in their demos (the typical question about a leave request) is weak. It’s not that common in practice, and it doesn’t feel like a big improvement compared with a well-designed FAQ.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy access to features that are otherwise “spread” across the tool. Employees can ask Joule instead of having to navigate through different SuccessFactors modules. It also feels like a 24-hour open door to HR.

  ### 22. Enhances SCM and Order Management with AI, Needs Industry-Specific Improvements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Joule?**

I like using Joule for business AI solutions, particularly appreciating the Joule Agents in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Order Management. These features really help reduce manual efforts and optimize costs, which is essential for my work.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I think Joule could be more industry-specific and client-specific. Whatever SAP mentioned as part of the promo last year, it did not meet client expectations. It needs to understand client requirements better and tackle problems directly, rather than providing generic SAP solutions.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joule helps with cost optimization and reduces manual efforts, especially through Joule Agents in SCM and Order Management.

  ### 23. Great Task Automation and Natural Language Insights—As Good as Your Data

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Firdavs S. | Owner/Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

  ### 30. Streamlines SAP Tasks, But Needs Smarter, More Detailed Responses

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sree K. | Software Development Engineer in Test III, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Joule?**

Joule really streamlines my workflow by reducing the need to switch between the various SAP apps I use every day. Rather than opening S/4 screens, checking Concur, or searching through MBC messages, I can simply ask Joule, and it quickly gathers the information I need. The conversational interface makes it extremely easy to use, and the integration is seamless since it already understands the SAP applications I work with. I find myself using it frequently for quick answers or summaries, which helps save time, especially on busy days. While it’s still expanding its features, what’s available right now is genuinely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

At times, the answers seem a bit generic when I’m hoping for more specific information from the system. While it does retrieve the necessary info, it sometimes overlooks minor details, which means I often have to double-check in the actual SAP app. Since it’s still a relatively new tool, not all features or workflows are supported yet, so occasionally it just responds that it can’t handle a particular request. Overall, it’s helpful, but there’s certainly room for improvement in terms of intelligence and consistency.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool addresses the hassle of searching through various SAP applications just to locate small bits of information. Rather than having to open S/4 for one task, Concur for another, and then check MBC for payment or bank updates, I can simply ask Joule, which consolidates everything in one place. This saves me a significant amount of time, especially on busy days when I only need a quick summary or status update. It also reduces the number of clicks and screens I usually have to navigate, making my entire workflow noticeably smoother.

  ### 31. Streamlined SAP Operations, But Needs Better Contextual Understanding

**What do you like best about Joule?**

I appreciate Joule's consistent interface across different SAP products and applications, which makes it very straightforward to use and interact with. This consistency provides a cohesive feel, which I find particularly valuable in the SAP environment. I also like that it effectively automates some tasks across SAP applications and helps point out different features that I might not be familiar with. This functionality is especially useful because it eliminates the necessity to go through extensive documentation, making my workflow more efficient. Additionally, the initial setup of Joule was extremely straightforward and user-friendly, enhancing my overall experience.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I find that Joule could improve its ability to deliver more detailed and context-specific answers, especially when handling technical or complex queries. Its current limitations in fully understanding user intent across diverse business scenarios can be frustrating. I believe that better tailored recommendations would increase its effectiveness significantly. Furthermore, the support for integrating with non-SAP applications is limited, which could be restricting for users who rely on a variety of software. Occasionally, Joule provides generic responses that do not sufficiently address the user's needs, which detracts from the overall user experience.

**What problems is Joule solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Joule to automate SAP routines, gaining instant insights and streamlining tasks like report generation and order creation. It speeds up my workflow, allowing focus on strategic decisions, and provides a consistent user interface across SAP applications.

I also like that it effectively automates some tasks across SAP applications and helps point out different features that I might not be familiar with. This functionality is especially useful because it eliminates the necessity to go through extensive documentation, making my workflow more efficient. Additionally, the initial setup of Joule was extremely straightforward. The integration was seamless, and the application is ready to use out of the box, allowing me to easily navigate the action bar and quickly become familiar with its features.

**What do you dislike about Joule?**

I think Joule's advice can sometimes seem somewhat generic. This can be a bit frustrating because the AI doesn't always provide the tailored guidance I might need for specific situations. However, I do understand that AI is still in its early days, and I am hopeful that over time, and as AI technology advances, Joule's capabilities may improve and offer more personalized and precise recommendations.

The onboarding process is remarkably effective, significantly facilitating users to start using the tool without complications.

I find it challenging that, in programming, sometimes you have to use very specific libraries for particular use cases. I think this complicates the process and it would be better if the use of libraries could be simplified and the code made more standard.

I use Joule for logistical analysis, obtaining valuable insights thanks to AI. The analytical charts and solutions offered by AI improve efficiency, and the onboarding facilitates the start of using the tool.
