"I didn't think that building websites could take so little time. What a great surprise!"

What do you like best about Joomla?

With Joomla, we have started to enjoy the advantages involved in producing our websites, how to save time, money and adapt them to our needs when necessary. It has taken minimal training to start using it, plus it has an extensive support community and online tutorials. I love that it has many web design templates; it simplifies many things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Joomla?

In terms of functionality, I don't have the slightest complaint, but, visually it is somewhat complex; in short, it is not the most intuitive software compared to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Once Popular CMS but Lacks Intuitiveness and is Behind the Competition"
2/5
What do you like best about Joomla?

It is PHP based platform which does make it compatible with many web hosts and is fairly easy to install on the server as the default base platform. It has been around for a while so, there are still a lot of theme templates available for it on the market. It does attempt to have some content management tools aimed at novices, at least in comparison to more complex frameworks like Drupal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Joomla?

Joomla has historically lacked the intuitive nature that other platforms like Craft or WordPress have, for the standard website owner admin user. Simple tasks like navigation menu management require two or three extra steps to achieve. The organization of content and modules is confusing to a non-developer, which makes the developer-to-end-user relationship difficult. It has also been difficult to upgrade from version to version. It is not easy for an average website owner or entry level administrator to maintain the site, which makes for serious headaches on security vulnerabilities and a bigger expense when you do need to upgrade and overhaul it. "Joomla for CMS for the last 10+ years."
5/5
What do you like best about Joomla?

Joomla is a great CMS alternative to Wordpess, in that it gives more significant and more flexible customization across the board. Joomla is very mature and has just as large of a community as Wordpress. Extending functionality with plugins enables one to build any type of site or platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Joomla?

There is not much I dislike about Joomla. The only thing it really lacks out of the box without plugins would be the Form system. The Form system is pretty basic and could be a lot more elaborate. It will get the job done, but it's almost better to role your own or utilize a third-party plugin. Thos is surely not a dealbreaker, though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I've been using Joomla for some time now ... and here's what I know"
5/5
What do you like best about Joomla?

There are a lot of CMS out there. And I'm sure that everyone uses theirs for a specific reason. My reasons for using Joomla are simple. It's an easy-to-understand backend that is not just intuitive, but also easy to configure to the needs of various clients. Blogging? Easily set up for that. Online store? Yep, that's covered too. The malleability of this platform, coupled with extensive offerings by third-party vendors make this a very attractive platform to consider for your CMS needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Joomla?

While it is more of a third-party vendor issue, sometimes the update functionality leaves a little to be desired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
