**What do you like best about Joomla?**

- The diversity in services provided by Joomla is its power.
- Joomla has a built-in media manager that lets you build your own folder, name it, and customize the media manager settings to redirect it to a different folder.
- Joomla has built in revision control. You can go back to a previous version in case something goes.

**What do you dislike about Joomla?**

- Sometimes cache build up becomes a problem, and cache has to be cleaned out.
- Joomla lacks the capability of a detailed preview. And there's no decent plugin for that.
- With Joomla, database problems are fairly common! Particularly when trying to migrate to a new server and/or updating data in a database.
- There is lack of authentication and protection measures to safeguard the content of the website and user information obtained through the portal.

**What problems is Joomla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Joomla is an open source framework used to build web pages and apps. It ties the site to a database in order to make it easy for both site managers and visitors to handle and produce content. Overall my experience has been very good with Joomla.

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad Kafil U. | Assistant Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Joomla?**

I used Joomla to build some personal blogs. It was pretty straightforward to use the cms. The extensions and templates were easy to customize. Joomla helped me in many ways especially it saved me from spending a thousand bucks on the web developer.

Joomla is a user-friendly Content Management System (CMS). It helps literally anyone to build a website with no technical knowledge. I did not know any coding the first time I used Joomla. I was able to build a personal blog instantly. Moreover, it provides users the option of creating Joomla customized domain names and free hosting for their website.

Joomla is extremely easy to customize. It comes with built-in extensions and templates. The templates help decide how a website will look, while the extension enables you to add more functionalities and features to your site.

Joomla is reasonably secured. They always update their security patches, extensions, and templates.

**What do you dislike about Joomla?**

While Joomla is easy to learn, it's learning curve is more complex than that of other CMSs like Drupal, Wix, Weebly, and WordPress. I personally disliked the outlook of the sites I built with Joomla. Websites built with Joomla seemed less elegant than that built with other CMS

**What problems is Joomla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website development and design through content management system

  ### 30. I love the idea of Multiple Hosting and Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Joomla?**

The ability to host multiple sites and content for clients and internal teams simultaneously on one platform. We were exploring complete ownership of our platform, with all the tools we needed for performance and integration, as well as managing our teams, and Joomla seemed ideal to try this out on, along with Drupal. Within a couple of hours, it was cleat to us that Joomla was the simpler of the two platforms.

**What do you dislike about Joomla?**

The learning curve is a bit much to take on, especially from an Admin role, but I really don't see how you can get around it. The setup seems to compartmentalized but as a small business, the training time was tedious, but that wasn't because of a lack of material. It just seemed like the training was a project of it's own accord.

**Recommendations to others considering Joomla:**

The admin needs to take out time to scrutinize and understand the system. I believe once you're Admin is clued on, they can disseminate the information and make it easier for users.

**What problems is Joomla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Utilization of internal teams with secure access to resources all in a well organized package

  ### 31. A pretty good option if you are looking to create a basic blog

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie W. | Web Developer & Team Leade, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Joomla?**

The advantage of Joomla in addition to being free is that it offers facilities to people who have little knowledge in the area of web page programming. It is something intuitive and with many options available to create a very complete basic blog. It also has a very good administrator panel where you can manage the pages that your site has.

**What do you dislike about Joomla?**

Despite all its advantages, it has many weak points to consider, starting with the fact that even though it has many widgets and plugins, its repertoire is not really that wide. It is also not recommended if you want to create a professional website with a large number of options and its SEO optimization is not very advanced such as other software that offers the same service.

**Recommendations to others considering Joomla:**

This program is free and it is ideal for those who have little knowledge in web page programming and wish to create a web page or a basic blog under PHP code.

**What problems is Joomla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Despite being a basic option, it has always helped me when the need arises to create a simple web page or a basic blog, since Joomla was one of the first CMS that I started using a few years ago and I still see it very Useful.

So far I am unable to spot any issue with this beautiful and powerful Content Management System, there are few paid modules but believe me they are value for the money. As I mentioned earlier that I mostly use it for my complex and larg projects therefore it's bit heavy for simple and small scale web projects. One another issue is limited customization options.

The extensions and modules are really easy to understand and use. Now the web development process is very easy with Joomla. Joomla themes are really fabulous and awesome because we can edit the content of themes according to our content. The dashboard of Joomla is really easy to understand and use. So with Joomla, the meta settings can be implemented easily and with modules, we can change the SEO settings on the advanced level. Even I have designed a lot of E-commerce websites for my customers. So creating products, adding their prices and order settings, all these things can easily edit and change using the Joomla Dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Joomla?**

Only a few extensions and modules are paid, according to my point of view there should be also free versions of these kinds of extensions. I don't think so there is any other thing which I dislike in this CMS. All other features are really awesome for this Web Development Software.

Heavy for simple & small websites. JOOMLA doesn’t have template directory, comparatively fewer plug-ins than other CMS
When it comes to Upgrading to major version: though the JOOMLA upgrade process simplified in years, it still takes technical know-how to overcome it. For certain script, Joomla requires certain plugins.

  ### 47. Creating a website has never been so simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giacomo F. | Web developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Joomla?**

Joomla is a content management system distributed for free. This feature already makes it very appealing compared to other competitors. The community that surrounds this platform is truly large, which allows for very robust support. As for the technical aspects, it has nothing to envy from other CMSs. In fact, there are numerous plugins available that allow you to create websites in no time. Moreover, if you have the skills, it is possible to easily modify the code to ensure customization of the various modules. Finally, regarding the graphic aspect, it must be said that the templates provided offer a decent user experience.

**What do you dislike about Joomla?**

Joomla was created to allow for really rapid web page development. However, some negative aspects must be taken into consideration. During the version update phase, it is necessary to check the compatibility of the various installed modules. In fact, it has happened that following an update, numerous modules were no longer compatible with the new version. In a production environment, it was a disaster to restore the entire website. The templates available are numerically fewer compared to other platforms, so a web graphics expert is needed to meet the clients' requests.

**Recommendations to others considering Joomla:**

I suggest always checking the versioning and compatibility of the modules.

**What problems is Joomla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As previously mentioned, a fundamental feature of Joomla is its usability. In fact, we use this tool to quickly develop websites and update the content within them in an extremely productive manner.

  ### 48. Joomla the right application for your company, use it now.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James F. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Joomla?**

It contains good content management, it is easy to build websites most of the tools in Joomla are self-explanatory, as well as it is Easy to customize and understand, it has huge community and support, it is suitable for any business.

**What do you dislike about Joomla?**

I don't like that it contains more practical assistance and troubleshooting, an easier way to migrate or integrate with other programs, in some cases it requires relatively more experience to install or run compared to competitors.

**Recommendations to others considering Joomla:**

Flexibility, large community, extension library and security: these are key points that make Joomla stand out from its competitors, therefore I recommend this application for sure

**What problems is Joomla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to manage the content of a public website, Joomla is being used by all departments of our company: from sales to accounting and administration. Joomla executes all the key sections of our website: content pages, downloads, landing pages and othrs.

  ### 49. Joomla has provided our development team with tools for faster deployment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tristan S. | Digital media producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Joomla?**

The development package is not that large and can downloaded very fast. Many of the key web browser and scripts that are used for common responsive functionality and web page action features can be enabled smoothly with the Joomla system. There are many themes and other design assets we can use from paid and free libraries throughout the internet. I like that Joomla is constantly keeping in stride with the most recent internet browser standards.

**What do you dislike about Joomla?**

Compared to a web builder that has mostly front-end development tools with one-click implementation of most components, Joomla requires more of a programming background in order to develop websites with the complete capabilities of the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Joomla:**

Joomla is probably the best content management and web development system for teams that need more control than WordPress. I think it should be a development option that comes before Drupal.

**What problems is Joomla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to activate solid website infrastructures in little time. We don't have to keep up with maintenance of coding updates since we can download packaged updates from Joomla. Our web development timelines have decreased and we are able to publish more consistent branded experiences.

  ### 50. Huge potential if in the hands of those who know how to manage it.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlo B. | Web graphic, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Joomla?**

Joomla is full of templates, plugins and extensions of all kinds. If you have mastered the web programming languages, you have a chance to compete with the more famous CMS

**What do you dislike about Joomla?**

Joomla is a CMS that I would call very "open" on the code side, you have to be very careful in protecting it from attacks. Other CMS are more careful from this point of view.
Furthermore, although it offers discrete free templates, to work at its best, it requires a suitable hosting with a database of at least 500mb, which can be considered an extra expense compared to other CMS

**Recommendations to others considering Joomla:**

Starting from zero you can have your simple website in a couple of hours.

**What problems is Joomla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using joomla since 2015. Thanks to this CMS we are able to configure the plugins that allow us to manage the sports events managed by our company.
