Hiring managers can submit requisitions through Jobvite and it goes through an approval process (However, you are not able to self-service the approval process, you need to submit a ticket each time approvers need updated.) It is better than not having an ATS at all.... **What do you dislike about Jobvite?** -There are so many things pre-programmed into the system that does not allow customization. For example, every time a candidate is submitted to the hiring manager, the hiring manager receives an email. Even when bulk actioning the candidates, the hiring manager receives an individual email for each. This can not be turned off. -You cant easily differentiate between internal/external candidates. -When candidates are interviewing there are multiple "steps" under the same interviewing stages (Requesting candidate availability, scheduling the interview, etc.) It is not easy to see who has/has not responded or scheduled an interview. -No read receipts on emails or Instant Messaging. -There is a severe lack of transparency when it comes to interview questions (even recruiters can not preview) you need to have admin access to set this up and to view. -There is lack of training and support for analytics. It lacks some basic functionality such as calculating an average of a column. It is an insane mark up if you want to connect via their data exchange. -The merge tags are not consistent. for example the merge tag for includeing a link to a meeting in the candidate email invite is [schedule-date-time-range-interviewers-title]. -From an administrative standpoint it is very disorganized. -There are a ton of nuances in the system that you find out after the fact (such as the max # you can bulk action at one time is 50 candidates) -If you reach out to tech support with a question 9/10 times they will tell you it is not possible. **What problems is Jobvite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Honestly it is creating more problems than it is solving. The ability for users to customize their dashboard widget. **What do you dislike about Jobvite?** Too many dependencies on back-end configuration the user experience is very lacking. The Support Documentation is not consistent. Rollout for new product features does not apply to all instances that are highly configured. Most of the time Jobvite doesn't have a solution which will result to spending more money to optimize. **What problems is Jobvite solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is not we're still trying to figure it out. Once you learn the navigation, the product is relatively easy to use. There are some customizations that can be done as well that are useful. **What do you dislike about Jobvite?** Where do I even begin with this one? To start, the amount of documentation available for users to get help is non-existent. Outside of a webinar or a sales pitch, the documentation doesn't provide any detail - they're ALL high-level executive overview demo documents with no substance. Additionally, whenever you have to deal with Customer Support, the reps handling the cases don't know how to use the product themselves. How can you support a product you can't use yourself? I usually end up closing cases because I've figured out how to fix the problem myself while I'm waiting for someone to respond. Finally, Analytics is HORRIBLE!!! Reporting is not user-friendly, you can only report off *some* of the data tables but not all of them, and like the Core product, when you reach out to Support for assistance, nobody at JobVite seems to know how to use the products they support. Honestly, if I were the critical decision-maker at my company, I would switch us back to UKG and not have anything to do with JobVite. **What problems is Jobvite solving and how is that benefiting you?** JobVite is a necessary evil that my company uses because of the ability to customize our job applications and the mobile communications features included in the software. However, from an HRIS perspective, there are NO benefits to using JobVite because of the lack of available knowledge base resources; lack of knowledge from the support team when issues arise; and lack of ability to report on ALL of the data captured in JobVite, not just bits and pieces of it. **Official Response from Allison Winkle:** > Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about this experience you're having with Jobvite. It is near impossible to get simple questions answered, and if you have a technical problem, be prepared to never get it resolved. Jobvite has a history or rolling out new products or features without adequate training for their team or end users, leading to HUGE headaches while you stumble through trying to use it. They also love to remove product lines from existing packages and then upsell you on them, even though you were already a customer of the product line. **Recommendations to others considering Jobvite:** Go with a different solution. Using jobvite is not easy, and working with their team is super painful. **What problems is Jobvite solving and how is that benefiting you?** High volume recruiting. Short staff. Many of the employees left to another vendor and current customers are suffering. Take a month to get a meeting and you never know if someone from Jobvite is going to show up in the meeting. The excuse is - got another issue with the customer and took longer than expected. Clunky. You need an admin to run the he thing and it’s not connected to my planning system. It really needs to sync with Adaptive Insights for it to be a tool that I would give my recommendation for. **What do you dislike about Jobvite?** It does not connect to Adaptive so we are constantly reconciling the differences bewteen our planning system and Jobvite. Also, it’s jist another software tool I have to log into for approvals. There should be an easy way to approve via email rather than needing to login each time. **What problems is Jobvite solving and how is that benefiting you?** It’s ok for a repository for recruiting efforts. ### 11. The layout and look of it seems outdated. It is hard to figure out how to sign up and sign into the account in the first place. You can not just push the back button on your browser to get back to where you want to be. Figuring out how to get back is not easy! **What do you dislike about Jobvite?** It is not user friendly. Trying to figure out what you need to do is very difficult. Never will admit a wrong - it's the customer's fault. **Recommendations to others considering Jobvite:** If you are in talent operations and you would like a positive relationship with data, do your due diligence and don't be fooled by sales.
