We have a hybrid set up with less office space than employees. It gives us the option to collaborate by seeing who's in on any given day and simplifies things by allowing us to map our office space into the desk booking system so you can easily identifiy what assets are available on any given desk e.g. dual screens etc. **What do you dislike about Joan?** From an analytic perspective it could give more. When trying to check numbers in the office it can only give you the number of desks booked. It would be helpful to see % check in as well as % of desks released amongst others. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** We currently have 70 UK based employees but only 22 desks. Ie when you hover over a desk on the floor plan, all info should pop up. We began searching for a better meeting room management system to put in place because Outlook room calendards alone weren't working effectivley for us. Set-up was a breeze and took next to no time to get us up and running. Joan has been a huge help, it's extremely user friendly and really enjoyable to use. People regurlaly pop in and see it and give us compliments and ask more. Amazing battery life, only needs to be charged every 2-3 months. We've recently started to use the Asset & Desk booking app, for parking spaces and desks which has also been extremely helpful. **What do you dislike about Joan?** No negatives come to mind. Their customer support to help integrate their solutions is really stellar (at one point when building out our new Miami office, the team even sent us schematics of the Joan 6 Pro and the PoE mount so we could build a custom bracket to attach the devices to our new meeting room door frames). Joan is easy to use and pick up for our end users, and implementing it with Google workspace was simple to get set up. Our users use it often, and as an in person company, it offers many features to help facilitate serendipitous meetings and efficiently manage our meeting rooms. **What do you dislike about Joan?** Joan has some UI issues for users and admins, and while it's generally easy to navigate, some things can be better like on Joan 6 Pro, where the cancel button icon has been broken for a while. On the admin side, it's often difficult to see which devices are low on battery, and some dead devices never report low battery to the cloud. SSO implementation is lackluster for inviting users to our workspace and controlling access (we use Okta). Setting up the devices at first can be a pain with the Joan configurator app having a few quirks of its own, and we've still never been quite able to get our Joan 6 Pros to work with ethernet, only power over ethernet. Overall a good device, these are just the pain points after working with Joan a year and a half. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Joan stops meeting room commandeering and allows users to book meetings serendipitously, which increases employee productivity and production speed. ### 31. Joan is very super user friendly and intuitive to use. I love the fact you have an app to use which means you can easily check without teh need to be logged onto a computer. The ability to check availability via a floor plan really helps when deciding where to book a desk. I also like that as a user you have the power to move. **What do you dislike about Joan?** I dislike that when you are viewing desks bookable via desks or people you have to switch pages rather than having this on one long page. I also dislike that when looking at the desk view the desks arent ordered alphabetically, they are number ordered which doesnt align with how we have our desks numbered in our office. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can easily book meeting rooms without the need for a "formal" booking by using the pads outside the room, and it's great as it shows when the room is next booked without this we would have to use the calendar. ### 41. I also like that you can book the room on the fly right at the Joan when entering a room if it is not in use already, and it will show as busy in Office 365. The Joans are very easy to setup and to install. There is very little work to do to get them in production. We used these all the time pre-pandemic and although we may not book large meetings in a room as often as we used to, they are still an important part of our ofice and booking system and do get used many times per week, if not per day. **What do you dislike about Joan?** Having to charge them, but they are pretty efficient. We do nt like that we used to not have to pay a subscription fee to use the system, but then it just suddenly was changed without notice and with no 'grandfathering' in for those who already were hosting the server on-prem. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed for spaces and meeting rooms to be able to be booked to ensure they were free when they were needed and Joan is the exact system we needed to make that happen easily and integrated with scheduling meetings. ### 43. The touchscreen interface is easy to use, and integrating it into popular calendar applications is a breeze with their setup instructions. We use Joan 6 and Joan 13 for daily room bookings, and it's easy to see where other team members are based on the group calendar. **What do you dislike about Joan?** Joan is a pricey investment to make for any business, however the on-premises or cloud subscriptions are priced at tiers that scale to your needs. Customer support is also very useful at providing advice on what suits your needs best, as well as offering installation advice. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of the problems we face with our sales staff is keep track of which sales staff are out on visits, and which clients they are visiting. With Joan 13 integrating into our team calendar, we can instantly see which clients staff are assigned to, and where they are going. With Joan 6, we can easily book in team or client meetings in our offices with just a simple touch, rather than having to email the team administrator every time. ### 44. The only thing is that sometimes confuses me when I check who is coming ot the office and the timeline on the button in after 6PM and it shows that the office is empty which is incorrect. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** In a office where we do not have our own sits and we can sit anywhere everytime, Joan is doing a good job of helping ot book a spot when we are planning to work from the office. ### 47. Plug the power cable and you are ready to go. The integration with Google Workspace took less than minute and it pulled all the meeting instantly. Having 3 touch buttons on the screen to reserve the room or check the timetable is work of magic. We are using it for all our meeting rooms on a daily basis. Plus, the fact that you need to charge it once every 3-4 months (I have the small screen) is amazing. You really hang it up there and forget about. **What do you dislike about Joan?** This might be a bit too geeky from my part, but the charging port is still a micro usb port. Not a deal breaker, but I hope in the newer versions they would upgrade it to Type C. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Joan is helping all the employees to check, at a glance, all the upcoming meetings in a room and reserve it when possible without the need to log into their laptop or mobile device. ### 48.
