Because of the e-paper screen, they sip power so you don't have to recharge them all the time. I don't think we are getting the full 3-month battery life but it is more than a month for sure, and the system sends an email alert when one of the batteries is getting low. There are PoE options but we do not have available ethernet ports near the conference rooms, so the battery options was perfect for us. Only took a few minutes to hang these near each conference room. **What do you dislike about Joan?** We had some compatibility issues between the Joan units and our WiFi network. They wouldn't stay connected. Joan support spent a lot of time figuring this issue out and all is well now. Support was great to work with, my only gripe is that they are based in Europe so the time difference made for small windows of opportunity to connect with them. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had recurring issues where someone would book a conference room on the Exchange calendar, but another person would swoop in 5 or 10min before and start a meeting there because it appeared to be unused. We tried to train people to check the Exchange calendar before a meeting but it just wasn't catching on. Many people decided a better option was to ping our office administrator and ask HER to look at the Exchange calendar for them. Thankfully, Joan has mitigated those headaches for our office admin and others. Anyone can walk by the room and see when it is booked and can book it themselves from the touchpad. ### 2. The main challenge is teaching our every multi-cultural staff how to use Joan - but many of our scheduling challenges could be more based off different culture's reliance on schedules compared to more flexible cultures. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had people fighting over conference rooms - we rarely have that problem now! It is simple for our staff to use. We now are able to see who has reserved the room without having to view it from our computers. There was no need to do staff training on the product as it was intentive on how to use the product, which I love. I like how I didnt have to mount it to the wall. The magnetic pads make it easy to hang or remove from the wall. I also like that it states the name of the conference room on the product as well. **What do you dislike about Joan?** There is nothing I dislike about the product. I do wish that the company's website had more information on setup. I received my Joans as a donation so it was a challenge to get them sync'ed but we figured it out. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is solving the issue of signage. It now states the name of the room for new staff. It is solving the issue we had on who booked the room. We no longer have to jump back to our computer to look at the calendar. It seemed straightforward to implement but difficult to make significant updates once all of your information is there. It is difficult to make changes and even harder to get folks to use it since everything is so manual. We also haven't been able to update to the office owner since the person who initially set this up left, customer service has not given us much of an option here. Integrations don't work as expected or aren't a good fit for our workforce. We implemented both, the Joan Room manager &the Joan Visitor manager. They are both easy to setup, and even easier to use. We were even able to add a QR code to the Room manager screens that allowed guests to connect to the guest wi-fi network. **What do you dislike about Joan?** I haven't found anything yet. So far the implementation has been very easy. The magnets do not stick to the wall very well. The functionality is there and great. People are happy with the meet now functions and the visibility factor. The user account is easy to manage and has a good user interface. **What do you dislike about Joan?** The Joan tablet displays get stuck at times when put to sleep and require a reboot through the Joan configurator so that can be cumbersome at times. This also occurs when the wifi signal drops off of the device the process to unpair, manual rebooting and then reconnecting the address can be quite time consuming. Also, the battery life is not consistent. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** The current issue that we have with our Joan tablets is that the screen gets stuck and do not refresh. That would then involve connecting the Joan tablet to a PC and then using the Joan Configurator to remedy. It would be great if this issue could be a quicker fix. That is what we find finnicky about the Joan tablets at this moment. There is also a battery issue since some retain a longer charge than others and we charge it often. ### 38. The Meet Now function is used frequently in our busy office. As the IT administrator I have many impromptu meetings and most times it is not scheduled but necessary to meet now. Joan always saves my day by allowing me to jump in from the screen mounted outside of the room. **What do you dislike about Joan?** recharging the battery is the only downside, but even that has a reminder email when it gets low.
