I am not a statistician nor a proficient Excel user, so I very much like JMP's simplified yet powerful way of doing data analysis and statistical analysis. Besides the more basic analysis (that I could just do within Excel), it allows me to do more complicated analysis (i.e., DoE, Graph Builder) extremely efficiently. As an engineer, I am intrerested in a practical application of what I am doing, so being able to arrive at the practical application quickly is very helpful. Certainly, the learning curve. While some things are accessible right from the beginning, some things take much longer to learn. Also, I'm not sure if this is the right forum to review the Discovery Summit, but I would say everything went very smoothly (and shows JMP has been improving each DS), but I think the Monday Workshops were the least successful. Because they were so short and with people of various backgrounds, I think it would be helpful to further break down the groups into ~5 or so people and pair each group with a JMP employee that has background in the specific topic. This JMP employee could have a practice script to allow the small group users to actually use the software instead of just watching and listening to a presentation.
