They were very good at coming up with solutions to problems we had if their tool might not been able to do exactly what we needed and in fact, these problems were far and few **Recommendations to others considering Jitterbit:** I strongly believe the tool is flexible and delivers on requirements. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need a database to store and collect compensation data for 130 R1 universities. We then needed to push that data back out to the universities for verification. We also sliced and diced the data before sending out. We then needed to review the data and approve any changes the universities might have made before updating the database. We created customized reports, Crystal reports, and the used an api to send data to a website lookup. ### 2. How adaptable and relatively easy to use their Low Code platform is. I tested more than 10 other products over a 2 month period, and was feeling quite hopeless until I stumbled across Zudy. The closest matches in our testing were outsystems and appsheet (for our particular needs), both of those options were far too costly for a start up. I was particularly fond of appsheet for its ease of use but, struggled to get a response from their sales team, and then learned of the $15k per year sql cost. Vinyl was a perfect match for our needs and future growth needs. Beyond the product itself, the people and support are amazing. They are a shining example of how every new customer onboarding experience should be with a software platform. I have 20 years experience in ERP/CRM and backend systems and their process was by far the best I've ever experienced. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** It's been a fresh and pleasant surprise to find this company, no issues at all in the first 3 months. I received help daily from their support team. They even setup a dedicated slack support channel where I can tap into their support team for random questions. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Building out a custom CRM and customer portal that taps into our backend data. Their tools allow for easy integration to a ton of backend data sources. ### 8. It is relatively simple to get acquainted with and gain mastery, and has a TON of potential. We believe it is definitely worth whatever trade-offs/downsides exist. It is still young (v3.0 as of this review), but we 100% believe this is the future. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** Vinyl isn't particularly flexible - there is certainly a framework, language, and mindset to learn if one desires to maximize it. The platform isn't unlimited, and I see why Zudy doesn't market it that way. There are also a number of atypical expectations Vinyl has of the developer that, sometimes, makes basic tasks that are easy to execute (i.e. low effort & story points) outside of Vinyl significantly more difficult within Vinyl. Lastly, "low-code/no-code" is a stretch. I believe Vinyl requires at least intermediate knowledge of programming, database architecture, application development, testing, reporting, etc. to be able to enjoy its most obvious and readily accessible advantages. **Recommendations to others considering Jitterbit:** You should keep your knowledge and experiences, but throw out all your habits and come ready to be a student of Vinyl. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** So far, we have been able to automate a few internal business processes, even entire workflows, through Vinyl. ### 9. The beginner training provided by Zudy gave us a solid conceptual foundation of how Vinyl works and got us kickstarted with our project early. The learning curve was pretty linear, so even a basic working knowledge of Vinyl enabled us to start meaningful development work on our project. Essentially every time we've asked ourselves "I wonder if Vinyl can do X?", we've discovered the answer is "Yes!". Connecting to external data sources via API has allowed us to integrate and automate many of our business processes that were previously manual. We have a lot of control over our UI, user base/security, and the ability to build complex reports for our clients - all of which is unavailable with our preexisting software solution. Far and away my favorite part of working with Zudy is their outstanding support. Our consultants at Zudy are unfailingly knowledgeable and helpful, and have immensely contributed to the success of our project. I love the fact that Vinyl is adding new features and capabilities all the time, so we will be able to continuously improve our application and benefit our clients by taking advantage of those features. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** The written documentation/knowledge base for Vinyl exists but it a little difficult to sift through. Since our Zudy counterparts are so responsive, this tends to not be a direct issue because we always get the answer or solution we are looking for from them, but they could spare their people some time by having documentation easier to search through. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vinyl has made it much more efficient for us to perform extract/transform/load processes on external data. Setting up parsing rules for a new data source is much faster than our previous software solution. We are always expanding the data we synthesize for our clients, so this provides a continuous benefit. In addition, our Vinyl app will enable our organization to provide new product offerings to our clients because we can continuously develop new functionality within our apps and scale up our user base very easily. ### 11. With the emphasis for personnel to be tech-savvy, Zudy’s low-code/no-code SW application allow citizen developers like myself (with little to no coding experience) to create a SW application to deliver operational capabilities at the speed of relevance. I was able to quickly learn how to create an application after completing Zudy Academy courses. The self-paced courses provided an excellent introduction of the Vinyl platform to learn about capabilities, APIs, Data Modeling and Business Logic. After creating my MVP in one weekend, Zudy’s team continued to provide outstanding support to continuously improve my application. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** This is the first low-code/no-code platform I’ve used so I don’t have anything to compare Vinyl to. But I can’t think of any dislike/downsides of using Vinyl. Years ago, I tried to learn how to code myself via YouTube videos and various online courses, but honestly, I just couldn’t figure it out. There was so much information out there, I didn’t even know where to start. But with Zudy Academy, I was able to build upon what I learned to successfully create an application on my own. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to raise knowledge and advocacy for citizen developers across the Air Force and Space Force to create applications with little to no training to place innovation on the edge. My specific use case was to develop an application by creating an interactive marketplace for government users to seek out and find the best vendors out there to solve their problem, as well as provide a platform for vendors to demonstrate what they can bring to the table. ### 12. There are a lot of products of this genre available, but few are as Enterprise-ready as Vinyl. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** The configuration UI requires some experience to become proficient. It works consistently and is easy to change environments for testing. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** Sometime moving things on the Operations Tab the re-save every time you move something like the attached email. Seems like overkill. They do a great job keeping the software up to date but it seems like their are new updates every week. Wouldn't mind a little slower pace with updates, but I am glad they are continuously improving it. **Recommendations to others considering Jitterbit:** If your doing a lot of Manual Data Loads get Jitterbit is a great automation tool. It allows you use a schedule jobs which is fantastic, much nicer than Apex data loader from Salesforce. I great for working with data clean up, error message are informative and make sense. It's also very stable up time is in the 99's. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automation of many data loads that would have been manual. It has saved time and money and allowed us to get more done. Continuous data clean, process automation and quick piviot data movements. I moves large quantities of data very quickly and threading is awesome for some of the tables and integrations that require large inserts at low through put. ### 19. We've managed to provide so much more to our users and limit the need for employees to switch between different programs and software immensely thanks to Jitterbit. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** It was a little challenging at first to learn everything needed to perform what we wanted. It would be nice if projects had a progress bar or counter or something to manage expectations. There is a little bit of a learning curve as well, but not too bad. Fortunately they have good resources for on boarding and very helpful as you are getting started. **Recommendations to others considering Jitterbit:** Get comfortable with the free Jitterbit Data Loader before diving into Jitterbit Harmony. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are automating daily, weekly, monthly and intermittent (as needed) inserts and updates to Salesforce, removing human effort and room for error. We also are using it to declutter as part of a deleting and/or archiving strategy. For example, once a month, we have a scheduled project that queries reports that have not been ran in over 13 months and upon successfully completing that query, we delete those reports. ### 23. Also the expand ability of the way the system is written is very impressive. The training videos are also very good and detailed. I really like how personable and down to earth the people are that I have worked with and that they listen to me and my needs. I have worked with a lot of other companies both big and small and Vinyl was able to cut through all of the b/s and simplify the end result. The system I am building is a very complex and hyper connected platform and so far, they have been able to deliver and I have high confidence that we will get to a satisfactory conclusion (tough bar from me) **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** I can be really fussy with how things look and feel for my end users and for the most part Vinyl delivers. There are a few details that I prefer be better and they are working on them. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** The goal of the system we are building will take 60 hours of paperwork and get it done in 3 hours. In order to do that we have to link many different data points with many different logic sets and variables. What many before have not been able to complete, Vinyl has and we will be able to continue to add and scale the future features and options without issue. ### 24. Familiarise yourself with its capabilities before looking elsewhere for solutions. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Jitterbit Studio Data Loader enabled us to load four year's worth of historical data, amounting to around 600,000 records, from a bespoke legacy system into our new Salesforce CRM, pipeline ad booking and invoicing system. The final data migration took place over a long weekend and would have been unthinkable without the help of Jitterbit. The real benefit here was that we were able to do the migration in-house at very little cost. The alternative would have involved using an external consultancy for a project in excess of 100 days - a saving of at least £100,000. We've also been able to integrate Salesforce, extremely cost-effectively, with an e-invoicing system used by one of our largest clients and with our on-premise Skype telephony data, which enables us to provide a real-time dashboard of activity to one of our direct sales teams. The alternative, again, would have been to have out-sourced this to an external organisation plus on-going support and maintenance costs far in excess of the cost of Jitterbit. Support has been first class - on the few occasions we've needed help, the team were prompt in responding, extremely helpful and always had an answer to our questions. Our next challenge is to see how we can get even more out of Jitterbit as I believe we've only touched the surface so far. ### 26. We use it to connect our six stores that run on two different POS/inventory management systems that are very industry specific to our NetSuite ERP. Jitterbit helps out data flow seamlessly from our stores back to our headquarters for almost real time analysis. We are able to bring over line item detail from every transactions from each of our stores with the help of Jitterbit. Before Jitterbit, all of our sales information was entered through a journal entry, so instead of manual entries open to error, everything come over automatically. I also really like how easy it is to use. The professional services team helped us set up our integrations, where I worked alongside them to learn how everything functioned. Now I am able to maintain and create new integrations whenever we decide we want to bring in more data to NetSuite. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** There are very few, if any, dislikes. Jitterbit offers online training, has a pretty extensive resources available online, and I've never had an issue getting our rep or someone in pro services on a call to work through any questions/issues I've had. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Jitterbit, sales details were input into NetSuite via a journal entry for all six of our stores. Ideally, I would have liked to used NetSuite for everything, but our POS systems for our stores is very industry specific, so we opted to integrate everything via Jitterbit. So now, instead of doing a journal entry that shows total sales and payments for each store, each day, we have full invoices and their related payments coming across to NetSuite. The great thing about this, is when we open up two more stores later this year, all we have to do is add them to our database and Jitterbit should do the rest, no additional headcount required in our back office. ### 42. Vinyl also allows the development team to work remotely using collaborative development as it is accessed online. No issues, errors, etc. It's been running smoothly in the background without issues for the year we've had it set up. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** The UI is pretty spartan in nature, so that could be tough for some users but I do know they do have their new Cloud Studio which has a revamped UI which looks way easier to digest. We are currently working to transition to Cloud Studio. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are pushing information from our back-end SQL database to Salesforce so our customer service team has all answers available to them in one place automatically. ### 50.
