This is sometimes needed when consuming data. For instance, I have one task where I need to decrypt an xlsx file provided to me by a financial institution. The steps to do that are not as intuitive. Not sure if it's even possible. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** We leverage Jitterbit to pass and transform data to and from our disparate business systems. We leverage the Salesforce Connector and then rely on standard XML/JSON request/response structures for our integrations between Salesforce and SAP and between SAP and our 3PL. ### 3. We are also able to view and report on our backend data in ways we have never been able to in the past. This tool is fantastic for small teams, enabling team members to, in effect, become full-stack developers without diminishing the end product. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** The main downside to Vinyl is the steep learning curve for some of the more advanced features. While many of the basics are covered in the built-in LMS and are well documented in the wiki, some of the more advanced features are lacking in proper documentation. That said, their support team is very responsive and can always find a fix, even if it means pushing out a hotfix for only one person. **Recommendations to others considering Jitterbit:** If you are looking for a low-code/ no-code solution or are a small team that needs to focus on development now, I highly recommend Vinyl. Their systems allow you to jump straight into developing your user-facing experience with minimal setup. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** My business is a growing Software as a Service company, developing software for first responders; our current focus is on emergency medical services, but we are expanding to the fire service in the future. Vinyl is allowing us to rapidly build out an application and get it into the hands of the people that need it, even with our lack of authentic coding experience. While our team has plenty of HTML and CSS knowledge, we lack in the languages that would be needed to build a standalone solution without a low-code solution like Vinyl. ### 16. It takes a (brief) learning curve to split every functionality up in a database, a logic (business rules) and a user interface part as many of us are used to seeing each program as one complete item, but when you experience the productivity gain that is achieved with this 3-way split and develop more functions, it becomes like bread and butter: easy and you can add any layer or request that you want. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I started with a request for a smartphone APP. A development friend with over 20 years of experience in 4GL's advised Vinyl, but I was very hesitant because the smartphone APP was for our customers and an attractive UI was the number 1 requirement. So I started with hesitance but was fully convinced within 2 weeks. Now we are moving also our back-office development to Vinyl.
