"I LOVE Jitterbit!"
What do you like best about Jitterbit?
It works seamlessly with Salesforce and makes recurring inserts/updates/queries/deletes almost fun!
What do you dislike about Jitterbit?
Nothing major. It would be nice if projects had a progress bar or counter or something to manage expectations. There is a little bit of a learning curve as well, but not too bad. Fortunately they have good resources for on boarding and very helpful as you are getting started.

What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are automating daily, weekly, monthly and intermittent (as needed) inserts and updates to Salesforce, removing human effort and room for error. We also are using it to declutter as part of a deleting and/or archiving strategy. For example, once a month, we have a scheduled project that queries reports that have not been ran in over 13 months and upon successfully completing that query, we delete those reports.
"I can recommend Jitterbit for connecting to Salesforce without hesitation"
What do you like best about Jitterbit?
Administering Jitterbit requires very little time. We don’t have to reboot the server. We don’t have to restart Jitterbit application processes. We don’t have to patch constantly either. The only time I really spend administering Jitterbit is when our license expires each year or we upgrade the system to a new version. Jitterbit support has been very helpful to-date. We had a small hiccup in our recent upgrade, and they helped us resolve it the same day. Our account manager is responsive, and the billing folks are easy to work with as well.
What do you dislike about Jitterbit?
I don't like having to install new license files each year when they expire. I also don't like the steeper costs for adding additional connections.
Recommendations to others considering Jitterbit:
Jitterbit makes connecting XML-based webservices to on-premise databases straightforward.
What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Jitterbit to integrate data from our cloud services to on-premise databases and back to the cloud. “No-Code” development in Jitterbit has gotten better with the newer versions. We primarily use Jitterbit to connect to Salesforce to pull down data into our other on-premise databases. Its user interface is simple to understand. The new Connect wizard makes connecting to the Salesforce web service a breeze. Auto-map the fields, or manually map them, and you are almost done. You can load test data from your source into the integration with the click of a button and watch it transform before your eyes with another click.
"Great Product for Cloud Integrations"
What do you like best about Jitterbit?
The support and functionality of jitterbit. The team was incredibly supportive in out discovery phase and continue to partner with us for our ongoing success. Integration with Salesforce.com and Salesforce Analytics from our ERP and data warehouse was seemless and easy. Creation of operations and transformation is so easy that we can be functional in minutes.
What do you dislike about Jitterbit?
Some of the transformation 'code' could be easier for someone with basic SQL knowledge. Larger data loads seem to take extended time (creation of DataSets in Analytics) but we are working to identify improvements with the Jitterbit team
What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?
ERP integration to Salesforce.com wich allows for shared core data and improved business efficiencies. We also use Jitterbit for Dataset creation with Salesforce.com Analitics, this allows us to share sales results with field sales teams on a daily basis and provide a single tool for them to manage their business.
"Jitterbit: Great tool for moving data from ERP to Salesforce"
What do you like best about Jitterbit?
Jitterbit is a very powerful tool that we use for moving data from our ERP system (Banner) to Salesforce. Jitterbit can do almost anything with experience. One of the best things is that Jitterbit support is willing to help with my questions and this accelerates the learning curve. Jitterbit is also willing to meet with us in person to make sure that we are getting the most value out our purchase.
What do you dislike about Jitterbit?
Jitterbit is a bit expensive for their enterprise license.
What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?
Another use for jitterbit is creating feeds to some of our vendors. Jitterbit can easily create CSV files from our ERP system that we use to move the data to the vendor.
We also create feeds using XML files. Jitterbit defiantly makes this easier.
"Terrific Salesforce to SQL/Oracle EDI tool (plus more!!!)"
What do you like best about Jitterbit?
Jitterbit is a solid product for transporting data in and out of Salesforce. It can do many other things as well, but we had purchased it specifically for our Salesforce needs. Within 3 months of owning Jitterbit, we were able to migrate our 20+ existing jobs from another EDI product that was not working well for our company. Plus, we have made many more data transport jobs since then.
I have really not found any use-case that we could not complete with this product! For a few situations, we have reached out to Jitterbit support for assistance and they have been super accommodating. They have dug right in and helped us solve our problem.
We are also interested in making REST based API jobs in the future, as Jitterbit has those capabilities as well.
What do you dislike about Jitterbit?
I love this product because it mostly works like I think. But, as with all products... not everyone feels that way (in our case we had a admin that did not feel it was intuitive -- but when you create a tool that has to do everything a developer wants to do, but also be usable by non-developers in our orgs, I believe that is going to be a given)
What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly this has been a syncing of data between Salesforce and other external datbases (SQL Server and Oracle) and FTP.
The biggest benefit we have gotten from switching to Jitterbit has been the extensive logging and troubleshooting!! With our previous product we used... sometimes jobs would fail to run to completion, but there would be no details regarding the issue and logging itself was minimal. With Jitterbit, we can control much of what we see in the logs and even add more specific logging if necessary.
