I like the integration with quickbooks and how seemless it works to update and always pull in the most up to date actuals. What do you dislike about Jirav? I wish we could do some little easier formulas for drivers more similar to excel, but I also haven't tried using that all that much lately. I would also like to be able to load in forecast numbers from a spreadsheet for some items that we are calculating offline instead of just the ability to load in actuals. What I like best about Jirav is that it moves financial planning out of static spreadsheets and into a more useful, forward-looking process. I spend a lot of time helping business owners understand what their numbers are telling them and what decisions they need to make next. Jirav makes that easier by allowing me to build driver-based forecasts, update assumptions, and quickly see how those changes impact the financials. The reporting and dashboard features are also a big plus. Instead of spending so much time manually pulling together information, I can focus more on reviewing trends, comparing actual results to the budget, and having better conversations about cash flow, profitability, and planning. One of the biggest benefits is scenario planning. Whether we are looking at hiring plans, revenue changes, expense assumptions, or cash flow needs, Jirav makes it easier to model different outcomes and give business owners a clearer picture of what may be ahead. There really is not much that I dislike about Jirav, but like any financial planning tool, there is a learning curve in the beginning. The setup and model-building process takes some time, especially if you want the forecasts, reports, and dashboards to be meaningful for the business. It is not something you just turn on and immediately get value from without thinking through the structure, assumptions, and data flow. That said, I do not necessarily see that as a negative. Financial planning should be thoughtful. Once the model is set up correctly and the key drivers are in place, the time invested upfront pays off because the reporting and forecasting process becomes much more efficient. For someone who is used to building everything manually in spreadsheets, it can take a little time to adjust to a more structured planning tool. Jirav is solving the problem of financial planning being too manual, spreadsheet-heavy, and disconnected from day-to-day business decisions. The integrations help eliminate manual data entry and make it easier to bring financial and operational data into one place. From there, I can create a more structured process for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and scenario planning. Instead of manually updating spreadsheets, checking formulas, and managing multiple versions, I can update assumptions and quickly see how those changes impact the financials. The biggest benefit is that it allows me to spend less time on manual work and more time analyzing the numbers, reviewing trends, and having better conversations with business owners about cash flow, hiring, revenue, expenses, and profitability. I love how Jirav saves me a tremendous amount of time in reviewing and presenting monthly budget-to-actual reports, budgets, forecasts, and more. The visual presentation is very robust, and both my clients and I love it. The ease of use and presentation capabilities, especially Jirav's visual summary dashboard and the way it shares information in a "non-accountant" style, make it so much easier for my clients to understand their data and results. The live API links with Jirav and QuickBooks save me about 4-6 hours per month, possibly more. Setting up Jirav was very easy, thanks to the amazing onboarding and training teams. Ease of budgeting workforce. You can setup reports to be visually professional and also add value by adding already supplied graphs and analysis. Also the ability to track and compare other benchmarks and goals. The cash flow on the executive reports is so helpful to get that information easily to owners as well as the ability to budget in capital items and have it reflect in cash flow projections. Not being able to upload PDFs for other data needed in board or management reporting and having to scroll down on the financial reports to move the screen to the side the scroll back up to see the data at the top. Jirav has completely transformed the way we approach financial forecasting. The platform's flexibility and depth allow us to build robust, dynamic models that I didn't think were possible when we only used spreadsheets. We built our firm off of the platform in 2021 and I'm thankful that we've had them in our corner as we grow. The usability is a major standout. Compared to other FP&A tools, Jirav is a good blend of intuitive and robust. The learning curve was minimal and it's easy to get things started, especially for teams coming from spreadsheet-heavy workflows. We were able to quickly move from setup to actionable insights and then increase complexity while we delivered to clients our basics, which are more advanced than most firm's best product. What really sets Jirav apart is the support team. From onboarding to ongoing guidance, they’ve been outstanding. They're responsive, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to our success. Their team feels like an extension of ours, always ready to help us solve problems or think through more complex scenarios. I can't say enough nice things about how supported we feel. Some of the visuals can be challenging for clients who are coming from other platforms, but a lot of that is due to the volume of info you can provide. The power of forecasting drastically outweighs it. It can get really complex if you want to make it complex, to manage that GO TO TRAININGS - it's essential and worth your time.
