I am able to group and/or rename departments and accounts, create custom reports, and multiple scenarios for forecasts. I also really like that Jirav syncs with our HRIS (Paylocity) to facilitate importing workforce data. With regard to forecasting, my favorite thing about Jirav is the ability to build drivers for variable expenses. I'm very excited to no longer budget in Excel. We do not use accounting software that is supported by Jirav, so the process of uploading actual accounting data is somewhat cumbersome. Similarly, Jirav doesn't have a native integration with CRMs, so the process of pulling in sales/pipeline data is less than ideal (requires using a Google Sheet to link to the CRM- the allows for easy updates, but the format of the data you extract may require manipulation). Jirav is much more intuitive to use than other software we've tried. Jirav makes reviewing the business's overall performance quick and easy without making the information overwhelming to take in. The simplistic format of Jirav is excellent. Instead of getting caught up in large functions, you can keep drivers clean and concise, which is not only beneficial when building out the model but also going back and tracking things back to where they originate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Jirav? The main downside of Jirav is not being able to bulk upload certain things. For instance, when creating a custom table, if I have a large number of custom lines and I'm pulling data from Excel or Google Sheets, I cannot copy and paste things like the titles of each line. Recommendations to others considering Jirav: It takes a few days to get familiar with Jirav, but once you do, you will realize how good, helpful, and straightforward the software is. One of the main problems that are being solved in Jirav is the complexity that comes with Excel. With Excel, functions can look as if they go on forever and can be challenging to follow. Jirav has made a tool that where you are able to, among many other assets, quickly change multiple variables and see real-time effect on your business. We have all used excel to model the "what ifs" and "results" of changing drivers and other variables but it always runs the risk of operator error. It has taken us about 3-4 months to get everything filled up but that is partially due to the fact thatt business partner and I could only dedicate a few days a week as well as we worked with our AE once per week to get things started. All of the team members are happy to jump on a virtual meeting with you to discuss the complexities of your specific financial reporting needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Jirav? My challenge with the software is I can't consolidate reporting if the client has multiple subsidiaries. Plus, I need more flexibility with the financial reporting package. Specifically, my client requires specific financial ratios presented on the face of the financial packet, but the software will not perform this automatically. I have to add the calculation manually. For my clients that need cash flow and financial forecasting, this is a great financial system. It takes time to set everything up, but once you have invested the initial leg work, the Jirav software allows me to update and/or prepare the financial model within minutes vs. manually building the reports which took hours. Jirav's integration with Quickbooks allows quick and easy budget to actual comparisons. Jirav's dashboard tool provides up-to-date visualizations of the company's most important metrics. When it comes to creating reports, there are a few instances where Jirav's formatting abilities are limited. Being able to visualize when the company will run out of cash is crucial in being able to adjust future planning. The ability to save time building reports. Within the reporting part of Jirav, you are able to build custom reports, compare different plans, etc. with only a few clicks. Sometimes you'll have to use multiple drivers to get the same result as 1 formula in excel. Access to another input would be helpful, so x\*y\*z=a, when you're limited to x\*y only.
