## Jira Reviews
 ### 1. Great for Ticketing: Intuitive UI, Helpful Filters, and Solid Documentation Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moises S. | Support Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It’s great for creating tickets for tasks or incidents within the company. The user interface is very helpful and self-explanatory, with plenty of filters and lots of integrations for documentation.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

At the moment there are no issues that I have found with Jira that I do not like.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documentation issues were solved by that and for future reference all incidents and issues are better to be reviewed

 ### 2. Empowers Agile Teams with Structure and Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Theo P. | IQOS Club Manager, Consumer Electronics, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

As an employee, I value how Jira brings structure and transparency to our complex workflows while supporting agile methodologies. The platform makes it easy for diverse teams to collaborate by offering clear visibility into project progress, priorities, and dependencies. Tools such as backlog management, sprint planning, and Kanban boards help us remain aligned and deliver value efficiently. Additionally, Jira’s integration with tools like Confluence and ServiceNow streamlines our change management and documentation processes, which helps reduce bottlenecks and enhances governance.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One of the primary disadvantages of Jira is its complexity and the steep learning curve it presents. Although it provides robust features for agile project management, setting up workflows, permissions, and boards frequently demands specialised expertise, which can hinder new users from adopting the platform quickly. Furthermore, the abundance of options and customisation choices in Jira can be overwhelming, often leading teams to complicate their processes rather than simplify them.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past, our teams faced challenges due to the use of separate tools for planning, testing, and tracking incidents. With Jira, these processes are now unified within one platform, enabling us to handle test cases, scenarios, and defects more efficiently. This centralisation not only aids in maintaining audit compliance but also guarantees that every project-related activity is thoroughly traceable and well-documented. As a result, operational risk is reduced and the overall quality assurance process is enhanced.

 ### 3. Structured, Flexible Jira for Custom Workflows and Sprint Planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira provides a proper structured and super flexible platform for handling tasks, bugs and project flows. I really like its customizable flows, sprint planning options, and backlog managements.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The UI interface can feel overwhelming for new users, when projects have many fields and flows configured. Sometimes performance can feel slow when comes to handling large boards.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves organize development task, tracking bugs and manage sprint powered flows in proper way. It improves team visibility on task based.

 ### 4. Powerful Integrations, but a Clunky UX That Slows You Down

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emilio P. | Senior Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

To be fair, I didn´t like much about Jira personally
But the amount of integrations not only with other tools, but on the way that developers work, is top in the industry

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

UX was not pleasing, I found it that everything was 2 steps further than it should take

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tracking the completion of the projects we had in backlog/sprint

 ### 5. User-Friendly and Efficient for Incident Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** taufique a. | Technology Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I find Jira incredibly user-friendly, making my experience smooth when managing incidents and deployments. I appreciate how it tracks major incidents and deployments while aligning all required documents in one place. The initial setup was good, thanks to the help from the Jira admins. Overall, having such an organized software to replace our manual efforts in Microsoft docs is a huge benefit.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It should be clubbed with AI that will help to reduce manual efforts of logging details.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to track major incidents and deployments, aligning all required documents in one place.

 ### 6. Efficient Task Management and Team Collaboration with Jira

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parit K. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is a powerful tool for task management. It helps organize tasks for the team and manage them efficiently. Jira allows me to manage my work properly by creating and tracking tasks effectively. I also create tasks for the QA team so they can check and update their progress accordingly. This makes it easier for all of us to work on our tasks and log our time properly. Their customer support also helps me resolve any issues I face.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

There’s one thing I dislike about Jira — sometimes updates and notifications don’t appear in the system right away after I perform an action. This makes it hard to know whether the action was completed successfully or not, which can be confusing. Because of this delay, I sometimes can’t provide timely updates to my senior team members about my task progress.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira has greatly helped me manage my tasks digitally. I can easily access it anytime and from anywhere. Earlier, I used to manage my tasks manually using notes, which took more time. Now, Jira saves time and helps me track my work progress effectively. It allows me to manage task statuses so that my team members and clients can directly check my progress. Based on the project requirements, time can be properly arranged for each type of development. The mobile notifications also help me stay updated and work efficiently.

It is really helping us manage multiple client projects efficiently, allowing us to improve performance and saves time. Amazing tool to organise work and track each story of the project easily

 ### 8. Powerful, Flexible Task Tracking—But a Steep Learning Curve and Can Feel Overwhelming

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is great for managing tasks and keeping track of project progress.
I like that I can see the status of all tasks at a glance, set priorities, and assign work to team members.
It’s flexible. You can customize Scrum and Kanban to fit your team.
The integrations with tools like Slack is easy and useful.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It has a learning curve, especially like functions of advanced searching.
It is overwhelming when plenty of tasks or issues are assigned to you. You will lose patience if you do not check it everyday and have 100+ unread messages.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep track of all my tasks and clearly visualize the projects I’m working on.

 ### 9. Essential Project Management Tool for Technical Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Disha A. | SQL Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is my daily project management tool, without jira i cant manage my project tasks, its been more than a year now i am using it , and its amazing , i like it because it helps me keep track of all my database related tasks and ticket in one place, its very organized and makes project management easy even for technical teams like ours, i can clearly see what queries, bugs or optimization are pending , assigned or completed,. the way jira allows me for custom workflows and tags helps me to cateorzie tickets for different database environments, like development , staging and production . i also like that it keeps communication transparent between developers , analyst and managers.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

overall its good , in everything but sometimes it gets slow when many projects or tickets are open. the Ui is very friendly , apart from that there is no issues in Jira

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Jira i use to track SQL tasks and bug Fixes manual on excel or chats, which cause confusion, Jira solved that completely. Now every SQL query change, schema update or performance issue is tracked as a ticket . this helps in maintaining history, accountability and collaboration. it also made our relase process more structured and helped avoid duplicate work. the visibility it give across team is very helpful for timely delivery and issue resolution.

 ### 10. Exceptional Organization and Visibility for Complex Projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renato U. | Senior Loyalty & CRM | Customer Engagement, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like most about Jira is the ability to organize and provide clear visibility into the progress of initiatives, especially in projects that involve various areas, suppliers, and simultaneous deliveries. Throughout my experience with 360° campaigns, CRM, digital media, and transformation projects, Jira has helped me structure workflows, prioritize tasks, and track deadlines more accurately. It facilitates alignment between internal teams and agencies, reduces rework, and makes the approval process more fluid. Additionally, the visualization on boards allows for quick identification of bottlenecks and route adjustments, ensuring that deliveries are made with quality and within the agreed deadlines. For me, Jira is not just a management tool — it is an instrument that enhances governance, transparency, and collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I don't like about Jira is that, at times, it can become quite a complex tool, especially when there are many projects, boards, and custom workflows being used simultaneously. In large teams or with less mature structures, this complexity can create difficulties in standardizing usage, leading to incomplete or divergent records. Additionally, some configurations and integrations require more advanced technical knowledge, which can delay simple adjustments in day-to-day operations. In other words, when there is no clear governance and discipline of use, Jira can end up creating more layers of control than actually facilitating work.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira primarily resolves issues of organization, tracking, and prioritization of tasks in projects that involve multiple areas and suppliers. Previously, it was common for information to get lost among emails, messages, and meetings, which made it difficult to see the status of deliveries and delayed decision-making. With Jira, I can centralize demands, assign responsibilities, track deadlines, and have a clear view of what is in progress, completed, or blocked. This has benefited me by providing more control and predictability for planning campaigns, sprints, and CRM and digital routines, as well as facilitating alignment with agencies and stakeholders. In summary, Jira brings more transparency, productivity, and governance to the process, reducing rework and allowing for quicker adjustments throughout the deliveries.

Jira is actually very good. I’ve been using it for about three years, and it’s been perfect for my needs. It also has its own AI to generate task descriptions and names, called Rivo.

Everything is good except the messy layout like it has a lot of buttons here and there.

Jira is the most reliable tool for team collaboration, bug hunting, and better performance it helps in issue tracking and has advanced boards like kanban workflows and scrum.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like that Jira is pretty easy to use once you set everything up. It helps keep all the support tickets centralized, which is great for tracking our workload distribution and obtaining metrics on the typical requests or tickets submitted.

JIRA solves the following problems:

1. Project Management - task breakdown, task distribution and tracking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It provides clear visibility into work and progress, with a clean UI and easy navigation. It also integrates well with other tools like Git, CI/CD, and Confluence, which helps keep everything connected. It’s a good value for agile teams, although costs can grow as usage scales. The documentation and help resources are solid, and the automation and smart suggestions are genuinely helpful. Overall, it’s been very reliable.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Configuration and setup can take a fair amount of time. Performance may slow down as you scale. Costs also rise quickly as teams grow, though that’s understandable. For simpler projects, it can feel complex and a bit overwhelming.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps solve a lack of visibility, unstructured work tracking, and coordination issues. It enables clearer prioritization, better transparency into work status, and improved collaboration within the team.

It benefits me by improving team coordination, tracking progress easily, and ensuring timely delivery of tasks and bug fixes.

 ### 18. A Powerful but Complex Tool for Managing Projects Efficiently

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** AKshay J. | Technical Head, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like best about Jira is its ability to clearly track tasks and team progress in one place. It’s very flexible — you can customize workflows, issue types, and boards to fit any project style. Jira also integrates well with other tools like Confluence and GitHub, making collaboration smoother. Overall, it helps keep teams organized, transparent, and aligned, especially when managing Agile projects.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

While Jira offers powerful tracking and workflow flexibility, it can feel quite overwhelming and cluttered—especially for new users. The interface has many menus and settings, which makes getting started confusing and time-consuming. Many teams report that performance suffers when the number of issues, boards or customizations grows large: slow load times and laggy responsiveness become a frustration.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps solve problems related to task management, team coordination, and project visibility. It keeps all project updates, issues, and progress in one place, reducing confusion and communication gaps. With customizable workflows and reports, it helps track deadlines, prioritize work, and identify bottlenecks early. This has improved our team’s productivity, accountability, and overall project delivery efficiency.

 ### 19. Fast, Efficient Ticketing That Keeps Complex Work Organized

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira does a good job of organizing complex boards into easy steps that need to be taken to complete a ticketing process. It runs quickly, is efficient, and generally works well internally with our team.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It's too confusing to figure out the complexity. As a startup, we're beginning to use Jira to set up our ticketing and boards, but trying to set up a board from scratch is daunting and extremely challenging. It's not clear what changing one thing could affect another.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing information into one space and allowing us to track sprints means we can make sure SLAs are being met.

 ### 20. Fast Internal Requests, but the UI Feels Bulky and Innovation Seems Limited

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven M. | Sales, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like that I can submit requests internally and they get resolved extremely quickly. I also think our internal engineering and SalesOps teams appreciate it, because they always respond promptly when I reach out through the platform.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I think the UI is a little bulky and there is not a ton of AI integration in my four years using the platform. I assume it is because it is pretty straightforward. I wonder what room there is for innovation.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps solve the speed issue in technical sales, especially when getting work done requires multiple internal sign-offs.

 ### 21. Keeps Projects Organized and Teams Aligned

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anil P. | Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira makes it really easy to keep track of what’s happening across different projects. I like how organized everything feels once you get the hang of it — tasks, sprints, and workflows all stay in sync. The best part for me is the flexibility: you can customize boards, set up automation rules, and integrate it with tools like Confluence or Slack. It keeps everyone on the same page, which really helps our team move faster and stay aligned.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

There’s definitely a bit of a learning curve at first. The interface can feel overwhelming when you’re new, and setting up workflows or permissions sometimes takes longer than expected. It would be great if Jira simplified some of the setup steps or made reporting a bit more intuitive. But once you get comfortable, it’s a powerful tool that’s hard to replace.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps our team stay organized by keeping all tasks, bugs, and project updates in one place. Before using it, we struggled with scattered communication and missed deadlines. Now, everything — from sprint planning to issue tracking — happens in a structured way. The ability to assign tasks, set priorities, and visualize progress on boards makes teamwork much smoother. It also gives managers clear visibility into workloads and timelines, which helps us plan better and deliver projects on time. Overall, Jira has brought a lot more clarity, accountability, and efficiency to our workflow.

 ### 22. Jira Makes Work Visible: Easy Tracking, Clear Tasks, and Aligned Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teboho P. | Backend Engineer, Broadcast Media, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira makes work visible and easy to track. You can break projects into clear tasks, see progress instantly, and keep everyone aligned. Its workflows, boards, and integrations help teams plan better, spot issues early, and deliver consistently.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira can feel heavy and overcomplicated. It takes time to configure properly, can be slow at scale, and too many fields or workflows often turn simple tasks into admin work instead of real progress.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the problem of scattered work and lack of visibility. It centralizes tasks, priorities, and progress in one place, which reduces confusion, improves planning, and helps teams deliver work on time with fewer surprises.

 ### 23. Intuitive Project Management with Easy Navigation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nitin R. | Desktop Support Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like that Jira is a data-driven project management solution, making it easy to organize work into projects and track issues and tickets. The navigation throughout the different features is very easy, and I find it helpful in fetching dashboards of different individuals easily. The customization and scalability of dashboards are highly valuable, and the strong integration ecosystem makes tasks easier by allowing automatic creation. I also appreciate the 'quick pin access' for recent tasks and apps, making it convenient to access without needing to repeatedly deep dive. Finally, setting up my tickets section and dashboards in Jira was damn easy, and it provided quick suggestions to keep everything flexible.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira works well for so many things, but just to give feedback on what can be improved is, it is tough to navigate all the closed tickets in a year is difficult to find and it does not have a capability to fetch the tickets of last year, it can only show the tickets worked in the current year. The ticket when we search it does not open in a different tab and it overlaps the current opened window of the ticket, which gets annoying to click back every time and reach on the current ticket.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira organizes tasks and projects, solves reporting comprehensively, and automates task creation with strong integration. It's scalable and customizable, making navigation and dashboard creation easy and contributing to efficient project management and easy access to various task views.

 ### 24. Jira Review by Prathamesh Sakre

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prathamesh S. | Senior AR Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

exceptional customizability in creating workflows, robust support for Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and deep integrations with development tools like Bitbucket and GitHub

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira is often over-engineered, featuring far too many fields, confusing workflows, and bloated configurations that hinder, rather than help, productivity.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the primary problems of manual, disconnected, and non-transparent workflows by providing a centralized, automated platform for managing tasks. For an Accounts Receivable (AR) professional, this translates into faster invoicing, fewer missed payments, better data accuracy, and smoother communication with other departments

 ### 25. Clear and Reliable for Daily Project Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sourabh B. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like most about Jira is the clarity it brings to my day-to-day work. It makes it easy to see, at a glance, what I should focus on, what’s currently in progress, and what’s coming up next. Keeping everything organized in one place also helps the team collaborate more smoothly and reduces confusion, especially when several people are working on the same project at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I dislike about Jira is that it can sometimes feel overly complex for simple tasks. With so many options, fields, and workflows, even small updates can end up taking longer than they should. This is especially true when the setup isn’t clean or well maintained, which can make straightforward changes feel more time-consuming than necessary.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps address the problem of scattered, unstructured work by bringing tasks, bugs, and project updates into one central place. It provides clear visibility into priorities, progress, and ownership, which helps reduce confusion and miscommunication across the team. With everything organized and easy to follow, planning feels more streamlined, tracking work becomes simpler, and teams can collaborate more effectively to deliver on time.

 ### 26. Efficient Project Tracking with Bulk API Uploads

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohith R. | Business Analyst - Assistant manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like uploading bulk cases in Jira through the API setup in Jira, as well as the ability to track real-time work. Inside Jira, there's a setup of API which allows you to choose the test cases you want to upload. This feature is particularly convenient when the headers of API columns are aligned with your case headers. Setting up Jira was quite easy for me as long as I followed the procedure correctly.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Improvement can be done by adding AI into Jira.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to track project progress and manage defects. It helps in tracking work real-time and offers API setup for uploading bulk cases.

 ### 27. Clear Sprint Visibility and Seamless Integrations Make Jira a Standout

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Girish S. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like most about Jira is that it brings clear visibility into our sprint work—I can instantly see what’s in progress, what’s to do, and what’s done. Its customizable workflows and seamless integrations let me align tickets, code commits, and team updates all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The things I dislike about Jira are the complexity and learning curve can be steep — setting up workflows, permissions, and custom fields takes time. Also, it can feel sluggish or cluttered when projects grow large or heavy customisations accumulate.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves our visibility and workflow chaos—everything from sprint tasks to bugs is in one place, so nothing gets lost. Its customizable workflows reflect how our team actually works, making it easier to move tickets from ‘in progress’ to ‘done’. With dashboards and seamless integrations, I spend less time hunting for context and more time coding. Overall, it keeps our development cycle aligned, efficient, and transparent.

 ### 28. A Great Tool for Managing Projects Efficiently

 ### 29. Effortless Issue Tracking and Team Coordination with Jira

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hitesh Sharma 2. | Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like how Jira makes it super easy to track different types of tickets like bug tickets, stories, and epics. It's really helpful in knowing the status of tasks and who's working on what, whether developers or QA members. The various statuses like 'prod deployed,' 'queue in progress,' and 'ready for QA' make tracking tickets very straightforward. I also appreciate that after every release, we can maintain documentation of the features, which is great for future reference. Plus, solving queries on Jira and using its separate web platform, Confluence, is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes we face issues with strictness, but it has since been resolved.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to manage and track tickets, like bugs and epics, easily. It helps us know who's working on what task with its various statuses like 'prod deployed' and 'ready for QA.' We maintain release documentation and solve web queries with Confluence.

 ### 30. Thanks for Keeping My Team on Track

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek S. | Senior UI/UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I genuinely find JIRA extremely useful for keeping track of who is responsible for what within our team. It organizes all our tasks and deadlines in a single location, which eliminates any confusion about assignments and responsibilities. I use it daily, and I appreciate how feature-rich it is. There’s a dedicated board for sprints, options for various task types, and seamless integration with other tools like Slack or Confluence, which really streamlines our workflow. Once you grasp the basics, setting up new projects or customizing your workflow becomes quite intuitive, especially if you have prior experience with project management tools.

Initially, the learning curve felt pretty steep, but after a few weeks, everything started to make sense—particularly if your team is already familiar with agile or scrum methodologies. What stands out most for me is how simple it is to identify bottlenecks or overdue tasks. Automations save me a lot of time, and whenever I run into issues, the large JIRA community on forums is always a valuable resource. I never come around to any that issue where I require customer support.

I never come around to any that issue where I require customer support.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Honestly, JIRA can feel quite overwhelming for newcomers. The interface is packed with buttons and options, which makes it seem cluttered at first glance. Some features are either hidden or missing altogether—such as straightforward Gantt charts or a simple way to view all issue types at once. While integration is generally straightforward, troubleshooting problems isn’t always intuitive, especially if you’re not particularly tech-savvy. The app’s performance can slow down when many users are active, and sometimes it just needs a good old refresh to get back on track. Also, as your team expands, the costs can rise quickly.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the biggest advantage is improved team organization. Gone are the days of endless email threads or constantly asking in chat, “Who’s handling this?” Now, everything is tracked and visible in a single place. The system also highlights issues early on, so we spend less time putting out fires and more time actually making progress. Since we work in agile sprints, JIRA’s boards and reports give us a clear view of what’s moving forward and what’s getting held up. Automation and reminders have eliminated much of the manual work, freeing up more of my time for real design tasks. Collaborating with remote teammates has also become much smoother, as updates and comments keep everyone aligned no matter where we’re located.

In short, JIRA has made managing projects much easier for me, even though there was a bit of a learning curve at first. Now that I’m comfortable with it, I can’t imagine running a large project without it.

I find Jira simple and easy to use, with a better and faster interface compared to what we were using before. The initial setup took me just 5 minutes, which was great.

 ### 37. Essential for Agile Teams, but Occasional Downtime Affects Usability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thangam R. | Quality Engineering Lead, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Having worked extensively with Jira over the past ten years, I’ve come to appreciate its depth and flexibility in managing ticket workflows. Whether you're running Kanban boards for continuous delivery or Scrum sprints for iterative development, Jira adapts seamlessly to a team’s evolving needs. One of the features I rely on most is the comprehensive activity tracking within each ticket—work logs, comments, status changes, and time estimates are all visible at a glance, which makes collaboration and accountability effortless.
Jira’s integration capabilities are another standout. I’ve successfully connected it with Confluence, Bitbucket, and GitHub to create a transparent, traceable workflow across documentation, code, and deployment. The cloud-based setup is refreshingly straightforward, but I’ve also navigated the more complex terrain of on-premise installations, which demand a deeper level of technical expertise and infrastructure planning.
Support responsiveness varies by subscription tier, and in my experience, premium plans do deliver on their promise of 24x7 assistance. For agile teams, Jira becomes more than just a tool—it’s the heartbeat of daily standups and sprint reviews, offering a real-time dashboard that keeps everyone aligned and focused. Our team has used it everyday for all the sprint related ceremonies and tasks

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Over the years of working with Jira, I’ve found it to be a robust and feature-rich platform—but not without its quirks. During periods of downtime or system strain, even fundamental elements like the dashboard view can become unresponsive, which can be frustrating when you're trying to stay on top of fast-moving tasks.
Jira offers a wide array of filters and configuration options, which I’ve grown comfortable navigating. However, I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming this can be for new users—especially when they're trying to make sense of multiple boards, custom fields, and workflow schemes all at once.
In more complex project environments, where several parallel workstreams each have their own dedicated boards, performance can take a noticeable hit. Loading times tend to lag, particularly when switching between boards or accessing detailed ticket views. It’s a reminder that while Jira scales well in terms of functionality, performance tuning becomes essential as your project landscape grows.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my years of working with Jira, I’ve found it to be an indispensable tool for managing teams, tracking tasks, and orchestrating workflows—especially in agile environments. Its strength lies in how it handles bug tracking: the visibility into each issue’s status, severity, and priority allows me to triage effectively and ensure that critical blockers are addressed first.
When I’m juggling multiple tickets, Jira’s interface helps me quickly assess what’s ready for action and what needs further input. That clarity is invaluable—it keeps me focused and helps the team align on priorities without getting bogged down.
Beyond individual task management, Jira acts as a shared compass for the team. The progress indicators and sprint views give us a real-time snapshot of where we stand, which fosters accountability and keeps us on track to meet our deadlines. It’s not just a tool—it’s part of our rhythm.

 ### 43. Jira Keeps Cross-Functional Tickets Moving and Bottlenecks Visible.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monak P. | Process Support Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is primarily used to manage process tickets and track cross-functional dependencies. I make use of stages to monitor the movement of tasks, ensuring timely identification of bottlenecks. It helps to avoid situations where tickets wait pending assignment. Moreover, custom fields can be used while tracking operation issues for report generation purposes.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

However, the interface may appear complicated for non-technical users, especially when they are setting up their dashboards.

 ### 44. Comprehensive Task Management with seamless integrations and good learning curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Purva K. | System Integration Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I really like how flexible Jira is when it comes to creating tasks and stories. It provides clear visibility on how the assignee is going to work on the tasks, and shows any blocking state. If something is blocking progress, I can just provide a comment and tag the concerned team member to help with the blockage. It's also really helpful for cross-functional teams working on the same project, as I can create a story and assign it to anyone on the team. This standout feature, allowing work with cross-functional teams, really stands out for me.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I find that sometimes Jira can be very complex for new businesses because of a lot of settings and fields that need to be filled. It’s normal to get lost in the functionalities if you're not familiar with the agile environment. This complexity, along with many features, can sometimes cause performance issues. Simple is better, so this is a bit of a downside for me. The initial setup was also a bit challenging and overwhelming for the team due to new exposure with Jira.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to organize, track, and manage our team's tasks efficiently. It helps track time spent on tasks, analyze effort complexity, and offers clear visibility on project status, making project management seamless across teams.

 ### 45. Efficient and Flexible, But Configuration Overload

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allon M. | CSM Team Lead, Telecommunications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It seems that there are too many configurations for our company that we just don't need, making it sometimes confusing. Navigation can also take time to learn and isn't intuitive.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira organizes tickets and lets other departments monitor progress. It's easy to use, tracks work in detail, has good automations, and is flexible, which saves time, increases clarity, and makes progress easy to see.

 ### 46. Highly Customizable, Boosts Team Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I love that Jira can work the way I need it to. The customization within fields and screens is incredible and helps my teams work the way they want to, rather than the way the product thinks they should. Having a high level of customization makes Jira valuable because it allows my team to model the way we like to work, with the information we prefer, instead of forcing us into a rigid workflow. The high-functioning teams I've seen can self-organize and tailor issue types, fields, and screens to match how they work, which dramatically reduces noise and administrative overhead. The initial setup of Jira was also very easy out of the box (OOTB).

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I find that the flexibility making Jira powerful can also be a drawback if it isn't governed well. I ran into a point where excessive customization led to massive inconsistency between projects. Configuration complexity creeps in where changes on the Jira side from Atlassian caused issues with our customization. There could be improvements around guardrails and change visibility. Strong native tooling to enforce or recommend standards across projects could help limit unintentional divergence. Impact analysis for changes and being able to preview changes would make it easier to understand how updates might affect existing fields before they're applied.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira makes tasks visible, solving the problem of hidden items. It helps me prioritize work with its incredible customization, enabling my teams to work as they prefer, reducing noise and administrative overhead.

 ### 47. Effortless Task Management and User-Friendly Mobile App

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paril T. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is very popular for its features, but what I like most is how well it helps manage team tasks based on requirements. The login process is simple, and it’s easy for everyone to use. Its mobile application is also user-friendly, allowing you to easily track task statuses from your phone. I also found it easy to implement our task details into the system and create task tickets based on our requirements.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes I face issues when changing the task status based on work progress. The status doesn’t update properly, and I don’t always receive the correct notifications in the mobile application, which causes problems for me.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps me manage my tasks based on priority and assign them to each team member according to their expertise, making it easier to work efficiently. It also manages task statuses based on work progress. Using Jira, I can directly update tickets for the client, so they can easily see the progress of their tasks at every step. These updates are also available on my mobile, so I don’t need to open my computer every time to check — this helps me manage my work time better.

 ### 48. Great for Team Tracking, But Can Be Overwhelming for New Users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Srikant V. | Staff Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like best about Jira is how well it helps track tasks and team progress from start to finish. It’s easy to use once you get familiar with it, and setting it up was quite straightforward for our team. The interface feels organized, and the boards make it simple to plan sprints, assign work, and review progress without much confusion. I use Jira almost every day, and it has a wide range of features — from backlog management to reporting — that cover everything we need for software development. The integrations are another big plus; connecting it with GitHub and Confluence keeps everything in sync, so we don’t have to jump between tools. Whenever we’ve needed help, Jira’s customer support and documentation have been solid and easy to follow. Overall, it’s a reliable tool that keeps our workflow structured and transparent.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I dislike about Jira is that it can feel a bit slow and cluttered, especially when dealing with large projects or a high number of tickets. There are so many settings, menus, and options that it’s easy to get lost at first if you’re new to it. Even simple actions sometimes take a few extra clicks, which can be a little frustrating. The interface could definitely be more responsive and streamlined. Also, there are a lot of different issue types like Task, Story, Bug, Discovery, and more — which makes it a bit confusing in the beginning until you get used to how everything fits together

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps me keep track of all my tasks and projects in one place. It makes it easy to plan sprints, assign work, and see what’s pending or blocked. Before using Jira, it was hard to keep visibility on who was doing what, but now everything is clear and organized. It also helps our team collaborate better and stay aligned with deadlines, which really improves productivity. Report generation, Burndown charts help a lot in team capacity and velocity planning.

 ### 49. Review about the bug tracking took Jira tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seethala G. | Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is a robust and effective bug tracking tool that assists developers and testers in monitoring all types of bugs and defects. Its workflow is straightforward and user-friendly, making it one of the easiest tools to integrate with a project.
Using jira we can easily maintain, track the bugs or effects easily in a large projects and also jira helps in track and identify easily in big projects

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes, Jira suddenly becomes inaccessible, and features like buttons or file uploads stop functioning. If you aren't aware of this and continue clicking, it can lead to duplicate bugs being created.

Jira having limit to 25mb space to file upload unit testing or any testing evidence which file size is more than 25mb which I felt problem while uploading the evidence

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira addresses several key challenges. First, teams often have difficulty tracking which tasks are in progress, who is responsible for each task, and what obstacles are hindering progress. With Jira, dashboards and reports provide real-time updates, making it easy to see the status of each task. The dashboard also allows users to view the specific tasks assigned to them, which helps in tracking and focusing on their responsibilities.

Second, managing multiple projects and tasks can lead to miscommunication among developers, testers, and product owners, often resulting in rework and delays. Jira serves as a single source of truth for comments, attachments, history, and updates. Additionally, its integration with tools like Confluence and GitHub helps unify communication and documentation across the team.

 ### 50. All Project Deliverables in One Place—With Slack, Drive, and AI Ticket Creation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

That i am able to organise all the deliverables for a project in one space, assign them to the right person, get updates on tickets and track against a calendar.

It integrates to google drive which we use a lot as well as slack so im always up to date.

I have started using the ai tool to generate tickets on similar projects and its working pretty well!

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

to delete a ticket you need certain admin rights

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its solving project management for us and gives a centralised place for our team to know what tasks they are on
