## Jira Reviews
 ### 1. It's flexible for every department

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rossouw N. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I have only three tools saved to my browser bookmarks bar: Jira, ITONICS, and a stopwatch timer.

Sure, there are more colourful project management tools, but I think Jira is flexible and straightforward enough to fulfil its purpose. It's reliable and makes sense. The integration with other tools is handy. In practice, I think a big advantage of Jira is it's often the standard project management tool when you start at a software company. That means most departments from software engineers, to marketing, to finance all use it already. That prevents the nuisance of having to convince another department to come on board to the same shared tool.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

My only complaint is I found the ROVO assistant has limitations in what fields it can read on a ticket, if for instance you want it to provide a summary of all active tickets from the current year. There are some fields it encounters as truncated strings, and therefore can't summarise.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It reliably helps organize cross-departmental projects and tasks.

 ### 2. Jira Keeps Our Marketing Projects Organized with Clear Visual Boards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshara G. | Digital Marketing Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

As a Digital Marketing Coordinator, Jira has become one of the tools I rely on to keep marketing projects organised. From planning social media campaigns to coordinating website updates and creative requests, it gives our team a clear view of what needs to be done and when. It has made collaboration much smoother, especially when multiple teams are involved. My favourite feature is the visual boards, which make it easy to track the progress of every marketing task. I can quickly see what's planned, what's in progress, and what's ready to launch. Comments, due dates, and file attachments keep everything related to a project in one place.

I regularly use Jira for:

Campaign planning
Content calendar management
Creative design requests
Website update tracking
Marketing approvals
Team collaboration
Monitoring project deadlines

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Large projects with many custom workflows can sometimes feel a little complex, and simple tasks may require more fields than necessary. A more streamlined experience for smaller marketing projects would make the platform even better.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira has improved the way our marketing team manages projects by reducing confusion, improving task ownership, and helping us meet campaign deadlines more consistently. It has also made collaboration with designers, developers, and sales teams much more efficient. Overall, Jira is a dependable project management tool that keeps our marketing work organised and transparent. It has helped our team collaborate more effectively, stay on schedule, and deliver campaigns with greater confidence.

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2026

as a sales and marketing intern , one thing i dislike about Jira is that it can feel a bit overwhelming when a project has many issues types, custom fields, and workflow for someone who is new to the platform, it takes a little time to understand where everything is, i also think creating small. routine tasks sometimes, involved more steps than necessary, once i became familiar with it, the experience improved but a simpler onboarding process for new users would make jira even better.

Using Jira improved communication between the sales and marketing teams, it reduced, confusion about tasks ownership, helped us meet campaign deadlines, and made it easier to track the progress of ongoing work, as an intern, it also helped me to stay organized, and understand team workflow more quickly. overall Jira is a reliable project management tool that helped me to stay organised collaborate effectively, and learn how cross functional team manage their work , it made my internship experience more structured and productive. this has helped me to stay organised, complete tasks on time, improve communication with my team. and gain a better understanding of how project move from planning to execution.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bertrand P. | Senior Product & Digital Transformation Leader, Retail, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira provides a solid framework for managing complex projects and product development work. I particularly value its flexibility, customization options, and the visibility it creates across teams. It supports better collaboration between business and technical groups, while keeping priorities, progress, and overall status clear and transparent. The possibility to define custom workflow or templates allow to let feature teams being autonomous even if we share the same core structure.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira can sometimes feel complex, especially for new users. Its high level of customization is a real strength, but it can also make configuration and adoption more challenging. To keep things manageable, it helps to have some governance in place so workflows stay consistent and setups don’t become overly complicated over time. I don’t use the AI/intelligence features yet due to our internal security policy, but based on other reviews I’ve seen, the Artificial Intelligence capabilities can boost productivity.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps me structure product delivery by centralizing user stories, priorities, and team activities in one place. It gives me clearer visibility into progress, dependencies, and potential blockers, which makes it easier to prioritize effectively and keep stakeholders aligned throughout the work. Custom integration of structure and bigpicture allow to manage problems with scalability. Even with large portfolio the performance are good and the support is working well. The pricing is consistent on the cloud version

 ### 7. Jira Keeps Work Organized with Powerful Boards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ioana C. | Appian Software Developer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like most about Jira is how it helps me organize and track work in a clear, structured way. With boards, issues, and workflows, it’s easy to see who’s working on what, what’s blocked, and what should happen next. I also appreciate its strong customization and reporting options, which let teams adapt Jira to their own processes and quickly understand progress, priorities, and bottlenecks.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I dislike about Jira is that it can feel overly complex and cluttered, especially for new users or smaller teams. Setting up workflows, permissions, and custom fields can take a lot of time, and when it isn’t configured well, it becomes difficult to locate information quickly. It can also feel slow or heavy at times, and with so many options and screens, even simple tasks can end up taking longer than they should.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps solve the challenge of keeping work organized, visible, and easy to track across a team. It brings tasks, bugs, and projects into one central place, so everyone can see what needs to be done, who owns each item, and how priorities are set. Its boards, workflows, and reports make it easier to spot blockers and bottlenecks early, which supports better planning, smoother collaboration, and more consistent on-time delivery. Overall, it reduces confusion, miscommunication, and the need for manual tracking, helping the team stay efficient and aligned.

 ### 8. Flexible Agile Project & Bug Tracking That Boosts Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Azmy S. | Team Leader QA , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like best about Jira is its flexibility in managing projects, tracking bugs, and organizing Agile workflows. It provides a centralized platform where QA, developers, and project managers can collaborate efficiently. Features like customizable workflows, sprint planning, dashboards, and detailed issue tracking help improve visibility and productivity across the team. As a QA lead, Jira makes it easy to monitor bug status, prioritize tasks, and ensure smooth communication between team members.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

1- When the number of users is more than 10, Jira restricts users’ access to their work when the number of users exceeds 10, which results in users being unable to access or use the data that has already been entered. Therefore, a subscription is required.
2- The learning curve can be steep for new users, and configuring workflows, permissions, and custom fields may take time. Some advanced features are not always intuitive and can require additional training or administrator support.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1- Centralized tracking for tasks, bugs, and project activities.
2-Better visibility into the status of development and testing work.
3-Easier collaboration between QA, developers, product owners, and project managers.
4-Helps prioritize and manage bugs efficiently.

6-Reduces communication gaps by keeping all project information in one place.
7-Improves traceability from requirements to testing and issue resolution.
8-Makes it easier to monitor team progress and project timelines.
9-Helps identify blockers and resolve issues faster.
10-Contributes to better product quality and more organized releases.
11- I can integrate with more applications.

 ### 9. Flexible, Powerful Project Tracking That Scales with Your Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shakiel M. | Finance administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like best about Jira is its flexibility and powerful project tracking capabilities. It allows teams to plan, track, and manage work in a highly structured yet customizable way. The ability to create workflows tailored to different processes makes it easy to align Jira with how the team actually works.
I also appreciate how well it supports collaboration—features like real-time updates, comments, tagging, and integration with tools like Confluence and Slack make communication seamless. The reporting and dashboards are another standout, as they provide clear visibility into project progress, team performance, and bottlenecks, which is especially helpful for decision-making.
Overall, Jira is a reliable and scalable tool that works well for both small teams and large organizations, helping improve transparency, accountability, and efficiency across projects.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One of the main drawbacks of Jira is its steep learning curve, especially for new users. The interface can feel overwhelming at first due to the wide range of features, configurations, and terminology. It often takes time and proper onboarding to fully understand how to use it effectively.
Another challenge is that Jira can sometimes feel overly complex for smaller teams or simple projects. The level of customization, while powerful, can lead to cluttered workflows or unnecessary steps if not carefully managed. Additionally, performance can occasionally be slow, particularly when working with large projects or multiple integrations.
Lastly, setting up and maintaining Jira—especially workflows, permissions, and dashboards—can require dedicated administrative effort, which may not be ideal for teams without a Jira expert.
Overall, while Jira is a powerful tool, it can be more complex than necessary depending on the team’s needs. Provide your feedback on BizChat

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps solve challenges around project organization, task tracking, and team visibility. It provides a centralized platform where all work items can be created, assigned, and tracked, which eliminates confusion and reduces the need for scattered communication across emails or multiple tools.
It also addresses the issue of lack of transparency by giving real-time visibility into project progress, team workloads, and deadlines. This makes it easier to identify bottlenecks, manage priorities, and ensure accountability across the team.
Additionally, Jira streamlines workflow management by automating repetitive processes and standardizing how tasks move through different stages. This improves efficiency and consistency, especially in fast-paced environments.
Overall, Jira helps keep projects structured, improves collaboration, and ensures that nothing falls through the cracks.

 ### 10. Jira Keeps Cross-Team Product Work Actionable with Flexible, Customizable Workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandre P. | Product Manager — Squad Interactions, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is super solid for turning messy product work into something genuinely actionable across teams. I really like its flexibility, the level of granularity it offers, and how easy it is to use day to day. The workflows are customizable enough to match how my team wants to work, and the integrations with other tools like Slack or Github help us stay up to date without constantly switching contexts.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It can get messy quickly, so it sometimes takes time to reorganize. The UX could be improved, especially for big teams with lots of tasks, because it isn’t always easy to follow what’s going on.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really helps my team collaborate by keeping track of everyone’s tasks (tech, QA, and design). It’s also a big plus for reporting, since other people in my company can easily see what’s planned and what’s coming next, and everyone is using the same language.

 ### 11. Clean, Customizable UI with Powerful Agile Tools and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samarth B. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

JIRA provides a clean, highly customizable UI/UX that works well for both technical and cross-functional teams. Tools like Scrum and Kanban boards, sprint planning, and workflow automation make it straightforward to track projects and keep work organized. Integrations with GitHub, Slack, and Confluence also help streamline collaboration and keep teams aligned.
From a performance standpoint, the platform is generally reliable, although larger projects can sometimes feel a bit heavy, especially with extensive configurations in place. Pricing may feel premium for smaller teams, but the ROI becomes more apparent when you’re managing complex workflows and multiple projects at scale.
Onboarding is fairly smooth thanks to solid documentation and ready-to-use templates, though more advanced customization can come with an initial learning curve. The newer AI-powered suggestions and automation capabilities have also helped boost productivity by cutting down on repetitive manual tasks.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I don’t like how slow issue search can feel when I’m using advanced JQL filters on larger projects. Although JIRA is powerful overall, navigating heavily customized workflows and permissions can sometimes become unnecessarily complicated, and it ends up hurting the overall user experience.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used JIRA to manage my college-level major project, and it saved me a lot of time while helping me lead my team more efficiently. It let me assign specific tasks to each team member, which would have been difficult to do verbally, and it also made it easy to track everyone’s progress so we could meet our deadlines.

 ### 12. Centralizes Project Management but Needs Smoother Navigation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chandrakanth N. | Software Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I use Jira to manage all my projects and track the engineering work. Jira is great for handling project updates and overseeing what projects and tickets engineers are working on. I like that all my projects are managed in one place with the team, components, and labels, so I don't have to switch between multiple tools. I can create filters and look at the status of projects and tickets which is super handy. The filters are really important for me as they help me focus on what matters most and help in tracking projects effectively.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

So the whole navigation is very overwhelming. And that has to be fixed. Second is the links that come on Slack. I have integrated Jira into my Slack. So let's say someone sends a link in the Slack. Right? So that doesn't open in the Jira app on the phone. Rather, it opens on the web page where I have to do the single sign off. Is a lengthy process. Every time, like, ticket comes very frequently. Like, every fifteen minutes or every fifteen minutes, I have to log in. Rather if it opens on the app, it solves very good problem for me. So that needs to be now what I have to do is I have to, like, look for that number, open the Jira app, look for like, find the search option, then search that ticket, and then open. This is a huge user journey I'm missing out. And sometimes we use it with Google Sheets to only, like, pull all the tickets into Google Sheets and do some calculations which Jira is missing again. So that needs to be there.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to manage all my projects in one place, making it easy to handle updates, track tickets, and monitor project cycles. It keeps everything organized with filters and dashboards, so I don't have to switch between multiple tools.

 ### 13. Jira Makes Sprint Tracking and Task Delivery Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjun M. | Associated Software Development Engineer , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is a very convenient and easy tool for tracking the entire lifecycle of a task, from planning to getting it live in production. It helps the whole team track delivery and productivity throughout the sprint. I’ve found it especially helpful for keeping both product and technical tasks organized and ensuring they get delivered on time. It’s also integrated with Jenkins and the CI/CD pipeline, which sends notifications when tasks go live.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes, changes to a task’s status take a bit of time to show up in everyone’s account. This latency can occasionally last around a minute, but it doesn’t seem to go beyond that. A similar issue happens when assigning a task to a team member. It can take a little while for them to be notified and for the assignment to appear on their dashboard.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us keep track of all our stories from the planning phase through to getting them live in production. It also helps us track task ownership, along with the deadlines assigned to each item. Jira has helped our teams stay on top of sprint velocity and overall delivery.

 ### 14. Structured workflows, strong integrations, and scalable for enterprise teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian F. | Chief Information Security Officer, Media Production, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like most about Jira is the ability to represent complex processes in a structured and transparent way. Especially in the IT and Security sectors, we were able to centralize workflows for incident management, vulnerability tracking, change management, and project control. This made collaboration between different teams significantly more efficient.

The user interface is clear and flexibly customizable after a short familiarization period. Dashboards, filters, and boards help quickly identify priorities and track the status of projects or tickets in real-time. The automation features, in particular, save a lot of time on recurring tasks and escalations.

A major advantage is the numerous integrations with tools like Confluence, Microsoft Teams, GitHub, or ServiceNow. This allows information to be centrally consolidated and reduces media disruptions. Especially in larger environments, this significantly improves transparency and traceability.

I was also positively surprised by the scalability. Jira works reliably for both smaller teams and complex enterprise structures with many dependencies and individual processes. The reporting and analysis functions additionally support governance, audit, and compliance requirements.

In the area of AI and intelligent functions, Jira is also developing in the right direction. Features like automatic summaries, intelligent search, or support with ticket descriptions help reduce administrative tasks and find information faster.

The ROI is overall good, especially when multiple teams and processes work centrally on the platform. However, the introduction and administration require experience, as the configuration options are very extensive.

The onboarding process was overall structured and well-documented. Particularly helpful were the extensive knowledge base, community resources, and the ability to gradually adapt processes to one's own requirements.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I like less about Jira is the sometimes high complexity in administration and configuration. Especially in larger environments with many individual workflows, permissions, and integrations, maintenance can quickly become cumbersome. New users often require a certain amount of familiarization time, as the interface and the multitude of functions can initially seem overwhelming.

The performance can also sometimes decline in very large projects or extensive dashboards. Some advanced features are only available through additional plugins or higher license models, which can significantly increase the overall costs in an enterprise environment.

In the area of AI and intelligent automation, there are already good approaches, but some functions are not yet fully developed or do not always deliver consistent results. Here, I see further potential for better support in daily workflows.

The support is generally solid, but for more complex technical issues, the resolution times can sometimes be longer than expected.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps us centrally and transparently manage projects, security issues, and operational tasks. Before its introduction, many tasks were managed via email, Excel, or various isolated solutions. As a result, information was lost, priorities were not always transparent, and reporting was time-consuming.

With Jira, we were able to standardize processes and automate workflows. Transparency has significantly improved, especially in the areas of incident management, vulnerability tracking, and change management. Tasks can be clearly prioritized, responsibilities are clearly defined, and the current status is traceable at any time.

Through integrations with other tools and platforms, we were able to reduce manual steps and centrally consolidate information. This saves a lot of time in everyday life and significantly improves collaboration between IT, security, and specialist departments.

Another advantage is the better traceability for audits, governance, and compliance requirements. Dashboards and reports provide a quick overview of risks, open measures, and project progress. This allows decisions to be made faster and based on current data.

Overall, Jira has noticeably improved our efficiency, simplified communication between teams, and reduced the administrative burden of recurring processes.

 ### 15. Powerful and Fast, but Jira’s UI Takes Time to Learn

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Racha J. | Product Owner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The UI/UX is clean once you get used to it, boards, backlogs, and filters are easy to navigate without much training. The Miro integration is genuinely useful for us; we can embed boards directly into tickets and jump between planning and execution without context-switching. Performance has also been solid, even on large projects with thousands of issues, searches and JQL queries return quickly, and the app rarely lags during sprint planning sessions.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The UI/UX has a real learning curve.
New hires often feel lost in the first couple of weeks, the navigation between boards, backlogs, filters, and project settings isn't obvious, and small things like where to find a saved JQL query or how to switch between issue views can feel hidden. Once you get used to it, it does get easier and even powerful, but that initial ramp-up is steep enough that we usually have to set aside dedicated onboarding time just for Jira itself. A cleaner, more intuitive default layout would go a long way.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira's biggest win for us has been cross-functional team communication. Before we standardized on it, engineering, product, design, and QA were each tracking work in their own tools. Slack threads, spreadsheets, scattered docs, and important context kept getting lost between handoffs. Now everyone works off the same tickets, with linked issues, epics, and dependencies visible to all teams. Designers can attach Figma files directly, PMs can see exactly where a story stands, and QA knows the moment something is ready to test without having to chase anyone. The shared vocabulary around statuses and workflows has cut down on status meetings significantly, and questions like "who's blocking what" now have a clear, traceable answer instead of turning into a Slack archaeology project.

 ### 16. On-Board Story Points and Assignee Views Make Sprint Planning Faster

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumit K. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The story point estimation sits right on the board, so we can catch an overload sprint before it starts instead of scrambling midway through. That same board also breaks down tasks by assignee, which makes it easy for a manager to spot who's stretched thin without opening every ticket individually, and together these two views have made our sprint planning meeting noticeably shorter.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Setting up custom fields for our QA process took more digging through settings that we expected, and once we had them in place, searching through older archived projects felt slower than working in active ones, which made cleanup a bit more tedious than it needed to be.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it keeps every bug and feature request tied to the sprint it belongs to, so nothing gets lost between planning and actual work. That's cut down the back and forth we used to have over "wait, is this even in scope for this sprint?" and made handoffs between devs and QA a lot smoother.

 ### 17. Intuitive UI, Reliable for Agile Projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jai Y. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

What I like most about Jira is its clean and intuitive interface. It's easy to use, easy to understand, and makes tracking tasks and project progress straightforward. The initial setup was fairly easy, and most of the project configuration was already in place, so I was able to start using Jira quickly. Switching to Jira from GitBoard helped us better organize tasks, track progress, and manage Agile workflows more effectively.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I find the performance problematic when working with large projects, as pages can sometimes feel slow to load. As a new user, I also find the number of customization options overwhelming, which makes the initial setup and navigation a bit confusing.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to manage development tasks, track bugs, and plan sprints. It helps me keep track of daily work and prioritize tasks. It also makes progress monitoring and team collaboration easy, ensuring nothing important gets missed.

 ### 18. Effortless Task Management with Customization Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan E. | Information Security Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I love how Jira allows me to manage project planning and task management effectively with different boards for various teams and workflows, whether it's Scrum or Kanban. I appreciate the ability to keep a clear overview of the status of our long-term projects and easily manage my day-to-day tasks without forgetting anything. My long-term project planning board is great as it provides a single overview of all current projects, and I can drill down into details easily. Similarly, my day-to-day task planning board is very straightforward, as I can quickly create cards for specific tasks. I like that I can handle a lot of tasks without leaving the main project or task overview, such as creating new cards, dragging them, changing titles, and assigning ownership without navigating multiple dialog boxes. Card management feels very frictionless, allowing me to create tasks during a meeting seamlessly. It's easy to set up a board, and everything falls into place within minutes, enabling me to start creating tasks quickly.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I find the customization options in Jira to be quite complex. While the board templates work fine for my needs, setting up custom workflows can be challenging to get them exactly how you want. They could improve this by including frequently used custom workflows as part of the default offering.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to keep a clear overview of project statuses and manage day-to-day tasks seamlessly, ensuring I never forget anything. The ability to manage tasks without navigating away makes it frictionless to use.

 ### 19. Powerful Work Tracking and Slack Integrations, But Sprint Boards Can Feel Overwhelming

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumanyu C. | SDE-II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The ability to divide user stories into multiple work items like tasks, subtasks, bugs is really useful. It helps with granular control and visibility of the work being done in the team. The ability to add story points further help in calculating the work effort being put in by individual members. The integrations with slack help us with seamless communication and context switching. The performance has never let us down and is industry leading. The recent addition of AI features has further made life easier with auto creation on tickets with just a simple click of a button in slack.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The sprint boards can get a bit overwhelming at times and the work items hierarchy can get confusing. The UI could do with some color as the monotone currently can make finding things feel like finding a needle in a haystack.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira is the main tool we are using to delegate work in our organization. It helps us maintain and track velocity across teams. Have a overview of the work being done by different individuals. Maintain communication and history across each work item. Tracking changes is a breeze with Jira.

 ### 20. Streamlined Integration with Room for Performance Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil V. | Director- Future of Work Technology, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like how Jira helps us stay organized and offers helpful integrations. It's great because multiple teams, like developers, testing, and business analysts, can fetch the same information. I particularly appreciate the integration with tools like Bitbucket, which helps our development team create pull requests and deploy efficiently. The ability to integrate with tools like AIO tests for the testing team and Confluence for business analysts and scrum masters is what I like most about Jira. Setting up was easy after we ensured projects and workflows were correctly arranged, making ongoing use straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I think, sometimes it takes time to load. Like, if I open up a Kanban board with a lot of tickets, the performance is not too well. Similarly, on the roadmap, if I want to edit quickly, sometimes it takes time to load up.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps us stay organized and keeps the team aligned. Its integrations are helpful because multiple teams, like developers, testing, and business analysts, can access the same information.

 ### 21. Powerful Bug Tracking and Project Management Tool for QA Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devendra S. | Associate Quality Assurance Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is an outstanding tool for QA and development teams. The customizable workflows allow me to create tailored defect management processes that match our testing lifecycle. I particularly appreciate the ability to create custom issue types for bugs, test cases, and improvement tickets. The sprint board and backlog management make it easy to prioritize testing tasks, and the integration with tools like Selenium and CI/CD pipelines streamlines our automation workflows. The JQL (Jira Query Language) is extremely powerful for filtering and reporting on test coverage and defect metrics. Bulk editing and linking related issues saves significant time during regression cycles.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The performance can be sluggish when dealing with large projects that have thousands of issues. Page load times for complex dashboards and filters can be frustrating during busy sprint periods. The configuration complexity is steep - setting up advanced workflows, permission schemes, and notification schemes requires significant admin expertise. The pricing model has also become increasingly expensive, especially for smaller teams. Additionally, the mobile app lacks many features available in the desktop version, making it difficult to manage tickets on the go. Some of the new UI changes in the cloud version feel unintuitive compared to the server version.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Jira, our QA team struggled with scattered bug reports across emails and spreadsheets, making it nearly impossible to track defect status and testing progress across sprints. Jira has completely transformed how we manage our testing lifecycle. We can now log, prioritize, and track every defect with detailed steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity levels. The workflow automation routes bugs directly to the responsible developers and notifies the QA team when fixes are ready for re-testing. Our defect leakage rate has reduced significantly, and test cycle times have improved by nearly 30% due to better visibility and collaboration. Real-time dashboards give stakeholders immediate insight into release readiness and quality metrics.

 ### 22. End-to-End Delivery Visibility with Custom Workflows and Seamless GitHub/Confluence Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabina K. | IT Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira has provided our development team with full visibility of all the steps involved in the delivery of the software, including backlog grooming, to deployment, due to its sophisticated issue tracking and workflows that can be customized. The sprint planning and roadmap are also especially useful, with the ability to establish achievable timelines and monitor our progress against the objectives without having to use both tools. The close connectivity with the GitHub and Confluence has been a game changer and our code, documentation, and project management have been linked to each other in a single seamless ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The interface of Jira may seem crowded, particularly to new team members, who take a lot of time to be onboarded and learn to navigate and use Jira safely. Initial setup also can be overwhelming, as the number of configuration options and settings can be overwhelming, sometimes needing a dedicated administrator to handle permissions, workflows, and project structures efficiently.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The complexity in dealing with the software development process has been resolved with Jira providing our team with a well-organized framework to monitor the bugs, features, and sprints within a single framework. This has enhanced our accuracy in release planning and accountability at the team level, which has led to shorter delivery cycles and tasks that are not dropped in the cracks.

 ### 23. A collaborative tool that structures teamwork through Kanban

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Romain M. | President, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

A tool that allows structuring teamwork and properly distributing tasks among different teams. It facilitates collaboration both with internal members and with clients or other external people. The kanban is a real asset for us in its use because it makes tracking clearer and simpler on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The use of Swimlanes is sometimes complicated when you want to set priorities that do not necessarily correspond to the columns. It takes a little time to get the hang of it and especially to clearly explain to the teams how to bring a subject up in the priorities, since it is not always possible to do so simply via drag and drop.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My parents help me to ensure precise tracking of each project, to centralize all the comments left by all stakeholders on a ticket or on a specific request. This really guarantees rigorous tracking of the different tasks and allows us to produce quality reports for the various project stakeholders. We have gained efficiency in managing our project. Previously, we tried to do this with Google Sheets or UXL Tabs, but we quickly got lost and lost a lot of information. The simple interface also allowed for very rapid adoption within the different teams.

 ### 24. Jira Keeps Work Organized with Great Visibility and Team Coordination

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashwathanarayana H. | Associate Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It's how it keeps everything organized in one place. Easy to create and track tasks, and the boards make it simple to see what’s going on at a glance. Helps a lot when working with a team, especially to avoid confusion. Also like how it can be customized to fit different workflows, so it doesn’t feel too rigid.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It can feel a bit overwhelming at times, especially for new users. The interface isn’t always the most intuitive, and simple things can take a few extra clicks. It can also get slow or laggy when projects get bigger. Setting things up or customizing workflows sometimes feels more complicated than it should be.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps solve the mess of managing tasks across teams and projects. Everything in one place instead of scattered chats or spreadsheets. Makes it easy to track who’s doing what, what’s pending, and what’s blocked. That visibility helps avoid confusion and missed work. Also useful for planning sprints and keeping things on schedule. Overall, it just keeps work structured and easier to manage day to day.

 ### 27. User-Friendly UI That Makes Time Tracking and Ticket Management Easy

JIRA solves our problem by helping us to plan our sprint. we can tag the user stories to current sprint, log our time, QA can log bugs, BA can give inputs, stakeholders can see the progress and team involvement in real time thus making everything smooth and efficient

 ### 28. Easy task management and integrations, but UI changes and Rovo AI can frustrate

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omonigho O. | Senior Product Manager - Multi Currency Accounts and International Expansion , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like this project management tool. It’s easy to create tasks, assign them, and keep everything organized. I also love the new Rovo AI feature—it helps me write my stories in a more coherent way. The integrations are straightforward and easy to use as well. It’s been simple to connect it with Slack, Bitbucket, Prodpad, and my other tools.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It can feel overly complex at times. The UI changed recently, and I’ve run into a lot of different issues since then. On top of that, the differences between team-managed and company-managed boards are huge, which makes it harder to switch between them or know what to expect.

Rovo can also be frustrating. I once spent over 30 minutes trying to get Rovo to make an update for me, only to check on Claude and realize that the update wasn’t actually possible in Jira yet.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management and consolidation are what I use this for most. I like that I’m able to properly track development tasks and keep everything organized in one place.

 ### 29. Unmatched Jira Customization with Powerful Search and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pawan D. | Technology Officer, Computer & Network Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira’s biggest strength is its unmatched customization, which lets teams create highly specific workflows that can fit even a complex software development lifecycle. For many users, that power shows up most clearly through robust search capabilities and smooth integrations with tools like GitHub and Slack, which help automate otherwise tedious manual updates. At the same time, the overall experience can become frustrating because of the steep learning curve; new users often feel overwhelmed by a dense, non-intuitive interface.

That complexity can also lead to “admin bloat,” where over-configured projects and too many custom fields make the system feel sluggish and over-engineered. On top of that, Jira’s rigid structure can sometimes favor management reporting over team agility, turning straightforward tasks into a bureaucratic chore. In the end, Jira is still an industry-standard powerhouse for teams that need deep data, as long as they’re prepared to deal with the significant operational overhead that can come with it.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira is often criticized for its “click-heavy” interface, which can turn simple updates into a frustrating, multi-step process that drags down day-to-day productivity. That sense of sluggishness is compounded by “admin bloat”: an overabundance of custom fields and rigid global settings that can make the platform feel more like a cluttered database than a streamlined workspace. Many users also resent the “marketplace tax,” feeling pushed into paying for third-party plugins just to get basic functionality that should be native to the software.

Beyond the technical friction, the tool can come across as a “surveillance engine,” prioritizing management’s need for perfect burndown charts over the team’s need for fluid, creative collaboration. Its rigid state machine often fails to reflect the messy, non-linear reality of brainstorming and iteration, creating a disconnect between where work actually happens and where it gets recorded. Ultimately, Jira can feel like a bureaucratic burden—one that asks teams to work for the tool, rather than the tool working for the people.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira tackles the core problem of fragmentation by bringing scattered tasks, documents, and conversations into one centralized, searchable source of truth that keeps diverse teams aligned. It helps prevent “systemic drift” by offering real-time visibility into planned versus actual progress, so roadblocks can be spotted early—before they derail a deadline. For me, that translates into a major reduction in manual busywork: instead of chasing status updates across email threads or Slack messages, I can rely on automated workflows to keep work moving.

It also supports capacity management by making it easier to see when people are overbooked across multiple projects at the same time, which helps reduce the risk of burnout. And by integrating directly with development tools like GitHub and Confluence, Jira keeps the context behind decisions close at hand, so I spend less time hunting for lost information and more time on high-value work. Overall, it turns chaotic, non-linear projects into more structured, predictable delivery pipelines that support both the team’s sanity and the project’s success.

 ### 30. A Solid Ticketing System for Managing CMS Development Workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcos P. | Product Manager, Newspapers, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What we value most about Jira is how clearly it helps us structure and manage technical requests in a traceable way. We use it as our central ticketing system to report bugs, request improvements, and communicate with both our internal tech team and the developers of our CMS.

Jira lets us follow the entire lifecycle of each ticket—from creation through to resolution—across different statuses such as open, in progress, pending QA, or awaiting feedback from our side. Having this level of visibility makes coordination between the editorial, product, and development teams smoother, so nothing gets overlooked and priorities remain clearly defined.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One of Jira’s main drawbacks is that it can feel complex and not very intuitive for non-technical users, especially in a newsroom environment where not everyone is accustomed to working with development tools.

The interface and workflow configuration can be overwhelming at first, and even simple tasks can take more steps than you’d expect. For editorial teams, this can slow adoption, create friction in day-to-day use, and ultimately make Jira feel less user-friendly than simpler ticketing or communication tools.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we started using Jira, managing technical requests felt fragmented. We often relied on emails or informal communication, which made it difficult to clearly track progress, ownership, and responsibilities.

Jira addresses this by giving us a centralized, structured way to handle all technical requests in one place. We can easily see which tickets are open, which are resolved, which are pending quality control, and which ones still require additional input from our side.

As a result, we’re better organized, communication with developers is smoother, and there’s more transparency across teams. It also makes it easier to prioritize work and ensures that improvements and bug fixes are consistently followed up until they’re fully completed.

 ### 31. Easy-to-Use Dashboard for Clear Team Goals, Ownership, and Real-Time Performance

Easy-to-use dashboard for tracking team goals and work. It provides a clear view of tasks, progress, and ownership, which makes it simple to see who’s responsible for what. It also helps me monitor team performance in real time, and overall it improves planning, collaboration, and delivery.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Complex to integrate with external tools like Power BI. The data extraction and syncing process is time-consuming, and the overall setup and configuration require multiple steps. Real-time data updates are not always smooth, which can make ongoing reporting and refreshes harder than expected.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with scattered task tracking across emails, chats, and spreadsheets, making it hard to get a clear picture of progress.
But now we manage everything in one place with structured workflows and real-time visibility.
This has improved coordination, reduced missed tasks, and increased accountability across the team.
As a result, we’ve saved significant time in status tracking (around 30–40%) and improved overall delivery speed.

 ### 32. Efficient Tracking Tool for Agile Teams

What I like best about Jira is how flexible and customizable it is for managing different types of projects. It makes tracking tasks, bugs, and progress very structured and transparent across teams. The integration with other tools and detailed reporting features really help in improving productivity. Overall, it keeps everything organized in one place and makes collaboration much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I dislike about Jira is that it can feel overly complex and cluttered, especially for new users. The UI isn’t always intuitive, and simple tasks can sometimes take too many clicks. It can also become slow when handling large projects or heavy configurations. Overall, there’s a bit of a learning curve before it becomes truly efficient.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the problem of managing tasks, bugs, and project progress in a centralized and structured way. It helps track who is working on what, ensures accountability, and provides clear visibility into timelines and priorities.

This benefits me by improving team coordination, reducing miscommunication, and making it easier to manage workloads efficiently. It also helps in quickly identifying blockers and tracking progress through reports, which improves overall productivity and delivery speed.

 ### 33. JIRA’s Configurability Makes Our Workflows Fit Perfectly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris T. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Honestly, the best part about JIRA is the configurability of the application. We're able to appropriately set up the flows and steps we want and not have to just deal with an out of the box configuration.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes the platform can run slow and updates can take a while. It isn't all the time but from time to time it does happen.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest things JIRA helps us with is keeping track of the amount of time we're spending developing on certain products. We utilize an integration with Toggl so time spent on each task is automatically synced to the ticket allowing us to easily keep track of how long it takes for us to implement a feature or a fix.

 ### 34. Flexible, Powerful Project Management with Custom Workflows and Smooth Integrations

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like most about Jira is how flexible and powerful it is for managing projects of any size. Being able to create custom workflows, track tasks, and visualize progress with boards and reports makes it much easier to stay organized and keep work moving forward. I also appreciate how smoothly it integrates with other tools we use, so our project information stays connected in one place instead of being scattered across systems. Overall, it helps the team collaborate efficiently and makes it less likely that anything will fall through the cracks.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I dislike most about Jira is that it can feel a bit complex and overwhelming for new users. Setting up workflows and understanding all the features takes time, and sometimes the interface can be confusing if you’re not familiar with it. It’s very powerful, but that also means there’s a learning curve before you can use it efficiently.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira is solving the problem of keeping projects and tasks organized, especially when working with multiple team members across different projects. It helps us clearly track progress, assign responsibilities, and set deadlines so nothing gets lost or delayed. By using Jira, we’ve improved team collaboration, reduced confusion about who is doing what, and gained better visibility into project timelines, which ultimately saves time and keeps everyone aligned.

 ### 35. Strong Ticketing and Dashboards, but SSO/MFA Locked Behind Higher Pricing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | Solution Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira works well as a ticketing and bug-tracking tool. Our team can collaborate easily on issues and project work. It also provides excellent dashboards that give quick insight into the status of tasks and projects. It’s simple to comment on tickets, change the status or assignee, and close them, and it’s just as easy to open new tickets when needed. I also like that you can follow issues to receive notifications and emails whenever someone updates them, and you can “star” issues to keep a closer watch on the ones that matter most. Implementing Jira is quick and easy from the start. Migrating from another ticketing system would likely be more difficult. I use Jira daily. It's also easy to integrate with Confluence for documentation.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira doesn’t support SSO unless you pay for a more expensive license. In my view, vendors shouldn’t charge extra for SSO or MFA, since these are basic yet critical security features.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps my team manage our day-to-day tasks through tickets, and it also helps us track our project work using dashboards.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like the new AI-powered capabilities in Jira, especially assigning work to AI agents and getting automated updates. Features like smart dashboards, natural language insights, and the “For You” page make task tracking easier. Also, free guest access and better integrations improve collaboration and reduce manual effort significantly.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira has improved a lot, but there are still some areas where it can get better:

Simplified UI – Many users still find it complex with a steep learning curve, especially for new users.
Better reporting – Built-in reports can feel limited and sometimes lack flexibility for advanced analysis.
Performance issues – Large projects can experience lag or slower response times.

Overall, improving usability and performance would make it more efficient for daily work.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves project management and task tracking challenges by organizing work into clear, manageable items. It enhances team collaboration, ensures accountability, and provides visibility into progress through dashboards and reports. This helps us meet deadlines, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly to changes, ultimately improving overall productivity and project outcomes.

 ### 38. Essential for Task Management, But Can Be Complex

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunil P. | Lead Documentation Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I use Jira to track all our tasks and clearly see who is working on what. It helps us plan our sprints and understand what work is coming next. We report bugs and follow them until they are fixed. I appreciate the simple board view, which lets us quickly see the progress of our work. Jira keeps all our tasks and bugs in one place, which means nothing gets lost or forgotten. The status of each task is easy to see, removing confusion and reducing unnecessary messages. I like that we can customize fields and workflows to match how our team works. The clear visibility and control over our projects help us stay organized and aligned. The setup and workflows were as easy as it gets.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira can feel complex for new users, with many options and settings that make it hard to quickly find what we need. It would be better if some screens were simpler, more user-friendly, and loaded faster, especially when working with many issues and projects.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira keeps all our tasks and bugs in one place, helping us avoid losing track. It improves planning and visibility, reducing confusion and bettering teamwork. We easily track task status and progress using its board view, ensuring timely delivery and organization.

 ### 39. Clear, Up-to-Date Workflow Tracking That Keeps the Whole Team Aligned

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pratham C. | Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The performance and overall workflow are clearly tracked and kept up to date for the team, so everyone has a better idea of the current status.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes it presents a very technical way of implementing filters, which can be difficult for someone who doesn’t have in-depth knowledge of how to use this Jira platform. Because of that, it’s hard for them to navigate and set up what they need. A good solution would be to have some AI integrated that can help apply the commands I want when working with filters.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, transparency and cross-team collaboration become easier because everyone can get the same idea at the same time, which is really helpful.

 ### 40. Excellent for Team Work & To‑Dos Organization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maurice K. | UX/UI Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Organizing your work and todos in a team is obviously the best aspect about Jira. I wouldn't know how to properly do that without it.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

At times, Jira can feel a bit cumbersome to use, especially when I’m trying to access certain features or actions. Some of these options are placed in spots where I wouldn’t expect to find them, and the layout can feel inconsistent from one area to another.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps our team organize, coordinate, and plan our work. We can map out what we want to do in the future and make sure we don’t forget important to-dos that aren’t relevant right now but may become important later. For the work we’re currently focused on, it gives us a clear overview of what still needs to be done, so the tasks feel manageable rather than overwhelming. It also makes it easier to track progress across the whole team.

 ### 41. Indispensable Project Tracking with an Intuitive UI and Kanban Boards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig A. | GM & CTO APAC, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira has become an indispensable project management tool for our coding tasks. It lets us quickly see the status of tasks, the interdependencies across other work streams, and the overall progress of the project. The UI feels intuitive, and the Kanban boards make it easy to understand the status of work at a glance. The mobile application has also become indispensable for our team.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The UI can feel cluttered when I’m working on larger, cross-team projects, and the licensing model can make it prohibitively expensive to deploy across the organisation.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps our development teams stay aligned and track our Agile development process. It also enables our support and senior management teams to clearly understand the status of project development, identify any impediments in the pipeline, and manage our deployment process more effectively.

 ### 42. The Structured Powerhouse: Why Jira is the Gold Standard for Complex Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avinash S. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

JQL (Jira Query Language) is an ultimate search tool. It lets you run precise queries to find exactly what you need across thousands of issues, which makes data reporting incredibly granular.

Deep traceability links the entire development lifecycle. You can follow a single task from the initial requirement all the way to the specific line of code and the final deployment.

Robust automation, with its "if-this-then-that" engine, cuts down on manual "busy work." It can automatically assign tickets, keep parent/child statuses in sync, and trigger alerts based on specific logic.

For enterprise scaling, features like Advanced Roadmaps help leadership see how dozens of different teams are tracking toward a single goal, and they make dependencies visible before they turn into blockers.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira is only as good as its admin. Its biggest strength—nearly endless customization—can quickly turn into its biggest weakness when the setup is over-engineered.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira tackles information fragmentation by centralizing the entire development lifecycle. It solves four key problems:

Siloed Communication: It replaces scattered emails and spreadsheets with a single source of truth. Every code commit and design tweak is linked to one ticket.

Invisible Bottlenecks: Through dependency mapping, it reveals when Team A is blocking Team B before the deadline hits, allowing for proactive scheduling.

Manual Overload: Its no-code automation handles the "paperwork"—auto-assigning tasks and updating statuses so developers can focus on actual coding.

Lack of Accountability: With data-driven reporting (like Burndown charts), it provides an objective view of team velocity, removing guesswork from project planning.

How this benefits you:
It transforms project management from a reactive "firefighting" mode into a predictable, scalable machine. You gain total transparency, fewer status meetings, and a clear historical record for audits or future planning. By automating the mundane, it ensures your highest-paid talent spends their time solving problems, not updating tickets.

 ### 43. Versatile and Easy to Customize for Changing Need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arno S. | Manager, software; scrum master, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

One of the things I like about Jira is its versatility and the ability to make edits and modifications easily. when the system is up, it performs well. we have an internal support team to handle issues.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One of the things I don't like about Jira are some of the required fields. They may not be pertinent. But the UI is helpful in getting through it

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira provides an adaptable way of tracking work and effort. However, there needs to be an agreed upon and consistent approach

 ### 44. Simplifies Team Tracking but Lags in UI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farheen S. | Full Stack Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like that Jira makes project task tracking easy and keeps everything organized. It’s straightforward to use and lets me see what’s going on right away. I also appreciate how it helps me quickly understand what work has been completed, what’s still pending, and what’s on the “to do” list. The initial setup was easy and went smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira doesn’t update in real time, so I end up refreshing it over and over.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps me track tasks, manage sprints, and keep our team organized. It makes it easy to see what’s in progress, what’s done, and what’s still to do, as well as assign work and track issues and bugs as they’re resolved.

 ### 45. Saves Hours with a Well-Organized Jira Board and Smart Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira can help you save hours if you use it correctly. For example, having a well-organized board is a good sign that you don’t need daily meetings. Jira’s integrations also help keep the team informed about changes and updates. When everyone stays up to date, there’s less need for extra meetings.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

If it isn’t set up properly, it can quickly become a headache for the team. There can be too many fields, and a lot of them may be unnecessary, so people end up filling them out just for the sake of it. Jira also requires some time invested in configuring the settings before you can use it effectively.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps the team move fast. It clarifies the work that’s currently being done and gives stakeholders a clear view of what’s missing. It also highlights what’s taking longer than expected, so you can take action and plan better for the next cycles.

 ### 46. Customizable Project Management with Easy Workflow Design and Strong Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is a great tool for managing projects and tasks in a customizable environment. I like that it has integrations in Teams and can work with other apps as well.
It was easy to design workflows that functioned well with basic features.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It could be easier to use, especially when it comes to the more advanced features. Some of the customized options require a lot of prep work before you can actually use them, such as creating schemes. It would be nice to have stronger customization available out of the box.

We also ran into cases where some items we wanted to add didn’t fit any of the available field options, so we ended up putting that information in the comments section instead. It would be helpful to have a few more niche field types available for situations like that.

The built-in notifications are wonky and don't display the right info or enough. Control over the notifications is limited. We often get a lot of unnecessary notifications for field changes we don't care to be notified on.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The projects coupled with automation has helped organize projects and assign tasks and track them.

 ### 47. Automates Workflows but Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alok D. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I've been using Jira for sprint planning and issue tracking across dev teams. Its custom automations are a lifesaver, and the GitHub integrations are great. I love how everything connects, like linking an issue to a PR, and it updates automatically, saving time. The moment a PR gets merged, the issue moves on its own without needing manual updates or status changes.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The onboarding is tough to be honest. New users can get overwhelmed and trying to figure out the interface may take a week or two. Too many options are thrown at once in the onboarding process. A proper guided tutorial or walkthrough will help a lot. Honestly not the smoothest, took a week to get everything configured the way we wanted. The GitHub and Slack integration needed some trial and error.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira for sprint planning and issue tracking with custom automations that are a lifesaver. Its GitHub integration and automatic updates of issues when PRs are merged save us time and reduce manual status changes.

 ### 48. Powerful project tracker for dev teams, but has a learning curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vijay P. | DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira excels at sprint planning and issue tracking for software teams. The ability to create custom workflows, link issues to Git commits/PRs, and visualize progress through Kanban and Scrum boards makes it indispensable. Backlog grooming and story point estimation feel natural, and the JQL query language gives powerful filtering for large projects.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The UI can feel overwhelming for new users, and performance slows down noticeably on large projects with many issues. The mobile app lacks the full functionality of the desktop version. Pricing tiers can get expensive as team size grows, and some basic features like time tracking require third-party add-ons.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we started using Jira, our team struggled to track tasks across multiple developers and keep sprint deadlines under control in a shared backend project. Jira addressed this by giving us a centralized place to create, assign, and prioritize issues, with clear ownership for each item. Bug tracking also became far more structured: we could log bugs with severity labels, link them to specific sprints, and follow resolution progress in real time. The Git integration let us connect commits directly to issues, which made code reviews and release planning smoother. Overall, Jira reduced miscommunication within the team and significantly improved the consistency of our deliveries.

 ### 49. Jira Keeps Our ML Experiments Organized and Cross-Functional Work Aligned

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal K. | ML Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira helps me to organize experiments, track model development and coordinate with cross functional teams, i create tasks for dataset preprocessing , model training and evaluation and assign substasks for hyperparameter tuning , features engineering or testing, the ability to attach, datasets, experiment logs or notebook directly to Jira ticket keeps all related files in one place, integration with Google workspace allows me to link docs or sheets with experimental results and share them with client seamlessly. sprint boards and kanban view makes it easy to monitor ML pipeline progress , track blockers and plan next steps for model development. its our daily drive tool in workflow. we use Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Gemini daily.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

sometimes Jira feels heavy for small experiments ,. creating multiple subtasks for iterative ML experiments can be slightly cumbersome, advance automation features require setup and occasionally third party plugins.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it solves coordination and tracking problems across ML workflows, instead of tracking experiments and tasks manually, i can see the status of each dataset, model and evaluation in one centralized system, it improves team collaboration , reduces miscommunication between ML engineers, data engineers and product teams, and ensures timely completion of milestones, tasks and blockers are visible, making sprint planning and progress monitoring much more structured. it is indispensable for managing ML projects with multiple moving parts, it enhances accountability, keep documentation and datasets organized and streamlines collaboration between data ,ML and product teams, while it can be slightly heavy for small experiments, the benefits far outweigh the minor setup complexities.

 ### 50. Jira Makes Task Tracking and Team Progress Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamini V. | Cloud Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I most like how good Jira is for organizing tasks into their respective groups and visualizing the team progress. I use it on a daily basis to view my tickets and bugs, my sprints and how everyone else is doing in general. I found Jira useful as you could tailor the workflow, and dashboards, to suit your project.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The interface itself can appear a little daunting at first glance, to those unaccustomed. All of this has to sink in, the positioning of the controls, for instance. It could take quite a while to grasp the intricate configurations, or workflows.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira ensures tasks and sprint are always on a centralized platform which reduces the effort of following up on individual task with team members and overall ensures better team co-ordination and task delivery on time.
