While the platform does offer some user-friendly features, such as drag-and-drop website building and customizable templates, it falls short in many areas **What do you dislike about Jimdo?** Firstly, the number of templates available is limited, and the customization options for these templates are quite basic. This made it difficult for me to create a unique website that stood out from my competitors. Additionally, the pricing structure is not very transparent, with different features and functionality available at different price points, which can make it challenging to know what you're getting for your money. The customer support offered by Jimdo is also lacking, with limited options for getting in touch with their support team and long response times when issues do arise. **What problems is Jimdo solving and how is that benefiting you?** We thought it can help solve the problem of not having a web presence, which can be a significant challenge for businesses that rely on local customers to drive sales. ### 2. It helps us in building portfolio websites for businesses. ### 3. You can have as many or as few elements on a single webpage. You would rarely need to deploy code, which is good for newbies. When I started out, it didn't take me long to figure out the element addition, page creating, and interlinking. That is how easy it is to build your first website on JImdo. **What do you dislike about Jimdo?** The free tier does not allow you to do SEO. This restricts your free website's discoverability. You can simply use it as a portfolio website in the free version, and everything else is paid for. I hope the brand would be slightly flexible with its other features in the future. At least let us try things out before purchasing them. **Recommendations to others considering Jimdo:** Try it out. You'll fall in love with website development if you haven't already. But take note that it can be very pricey and it is better to buy a domain name somewhere else. **What problems is Jimdo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I built my portfolio website with Jimdo. It is free and the server response time is far better than what you would get for entry-level domain hosting. I am testing out a new website development project on Jimdo. ### 5. Honestly, that's being kind. They charge more than most competitors for a service which comes nowhere close to competing functionally. **What do you dislike about Jimdo?** They don't bother sending renewal invitations and instead just take a full year's subscription from recurring payments. Pricing does state renewable for a year but they quote in monthly fees to appear competitive. Trying to cancel is a nightmare, which means you end up renewing without wanting to and then they quote their cancellation terms when it's too late. **Recommendations to others considering Jimdo:** Do yourself a favour, go with WordPress or Squarespace instead. **What problems is Jimdo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm mainly resolving the problem of having money in a bank account. Their service is worthless. Avoid it. ### 7. You can easily build a website or shop within seconds without any programming knowledge. **What do you dislike about Jimdo?** What I dislike is that even with an upgraded (paid) version, it does not include all necessary functions that for example an Online Shop needs. For example the payment methods are limited and if one wants to integrate a payment provider like Stripe one has to pay for it on top. Plus, the payment providers one can implement are limited, so one cannot choose any payment provider. **What problems is Jimdo solving and how is that benefiting you?** We build a website for the soccer team at our university. ### 8. I liked the integrations and the easy way to set up a shop with ecommerce items and with payment portals. We often use the drap and drop function to fill our site. Good opportunities for optimal money, even the PRO version (which is not the most expensive) completely suits me. There are small comments on setting up templates and a limited quantity of payments that can be processing.
