Jimdo is easy to use and allows beginners to create a professional-looking website without programming knowledge. The interface is intuitive, the initial setup is quick, and many essential features are available without technical experience. It is a practical solution for freelancers and small businesses that need a simple website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Jimdo? My biggest concern is the pricing policy. During my time as a customer (2016–2026), the subscription price for the same 24-month package increased from €194 in 2020 to €312 in 2024 and to €341 in 2026. I raised written concerns about the significant price increase in 2024 and asked for a more affordable alternative, but no suitable solution was offered. After the automatic contract renewal in 2026, I again tried to resolve the issue through detailed correspondence and a settlement proposal. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my concerns as a long-term customer were adequately addressed. The product itself is easy to use, but my overall customer experience was negatively affected by the pricing policy and the handling of my concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. As a small business owner, I found Jimdo to be a rather disappointing website builder. This made it difficult for me to create a unique website that stood out from my competitors. Additionally, the pricing structure is not very transparent, with different features and functionality available at different price points, which can make it challenging to know what you're getting for your money. The customer support offered by Jimdo is also lacking, with limited options for getting in touch with their support team and long response times when issues do arise. When we compare with other CMSs out there we can have several things to mention but if we just take Jimdo into consideration then only one factor comes to my mind and that is having an app store with apps developed by the Jimdo team itself. I love the drag and drop elements feature that puts the guesswork and CSS out of commission. You can have as many or as few elements on a single webpage. You would rarely need to deploy code, which is good for newbies. When I started out, it didn't take me long to figure out the element addition, page creating, and interlinking. That is how easy it is to build your first website on JImdo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Jimdo? The free tier does not allow you to do SEO. This restricts your free website's discoverability. You can simply use it as a portfolio website in the free version, and everything else is paid for. Recommendations to others considering Jimdo: Try it out. You'll fall in love with website development if you haven't already. For building a basic web page, it's "ok". Honestly, that's being kind. They charge more than most competitors for a service which comes nowhere close to competing functionally. Pricing does state renewable for a year but they quote in monthly fees to appear competitive. What do you dislike about Jimdo? What I dislike is that even with an upgraded (paid) version, it does not include all necessary functions that for example an Online Shop needs. For example the payment methods are limited and if one wants to integrate a payment provider like Stripe one has to pay for it on top. This was easy to use right out of the gate, customizing and arranging things I needed plus had great add-ons that would make it easy for my clients to find what they needed. I liked the integrations and the easy way to set up a shop with ecommerce items and with payment portals. You can buy your domain and hosting through them too for one low yearly price.
