The resulting code is well commented and follows industries best practices. there are many tutorials and books that make learning easy. I have been following it since 2016 and it is an exceptional full stack development framework. I'm a huge fan of jhipster. Enjoy it! Awesome! **What do you dislike about JHipster?** Somewhat overuse of component, libraries, and frameworks that make your initial greenfield project complex from day one. It is like start big, rather than start small, but that was your choice from the beginning! Jhipster generates tons of code with many libraries that you probably do not know some of them. You can not go ahead and add your business logic and modifications without reading tutorials about these technologies. nothing else **Recommendations to others considering JHipster:** To be recommended, it is very useful to speed up development and put on a prototype in a few hours. You got production ready application in very less time. **What problems is JHipster solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'am just beginner for JHipster. So I just want to learn all things and try to use JHipster functionality. Just with one or two commands it will create a world for you. Lets say in just 5 min you will have working application, basic ofcourse, and it has user interface template that is ready to use. **What do you dislike about JHipster?** if you are new to programming, it would be difficult to understand the configuration of jhipster. Because if something goes wrong and you are unexperienced you will not know how to resolve the issue. The other thing that is not too much convenient is that if you are unexperienced with jhipster it will be easy to find yourself in trouble with db tables, espacialy if you use SQL db. **What problems is JHipster solving and how is that benefiting you?** First of all it helped me to generate initially the application, it saves time definetely with configuration. Good thing is it helped me creating services base project rapidly. Earlier when we used to create an entity, we had to create Database configuration, required entity classes, service, its resource etc manually. Which was taking ample amount of time. Now its a few minutes job and everything will be generated by JHipster for you. You just have to worry about business logic. Other features like Authentication and authorization with Keycloak or okta, support for elasticsearch is out of the box. In short Jhipster is best for robust and rapid development. **What do you dislike about JHipster?** Jhipster generates tons of code with many libraries which might not be even in use or one might not have an insight of about it. It took us some time to figure out unused code generated by jhipster and finally we were able to make it lighter by removing such code and libraries. **Recommendations to others considering JHipster:** Highly recommended if one wants to develop robust and scalable application in very short time. Options available for the frontend side such as React, Angular. Vue. Options availbale for backend such as monolithic, microservice, microservice gateway, etc. It also provides automated test for the application. **What do you dislike about JHipster?** It does not provide two separate folder structure for front end and back end. If we need only back end still we have to select for front end. Someone suggested to use JHipster and when I go through its official website, I found it very useful and we have stared using JHipster and we actually achieve our deadline because most of the code is automatically generated by JHipster and we just had to customise our CSS, Type scripts and API business logics as per requirement and we had faster development and also with all the standers of coding guidelines. ### 18. The option allows generating and building either full or a specific end of the application. Also, the community support it comes with. **What do you dislike about JHipster?** The option to skip test files being generated is missing. I understand unit test codes are an essential part of any development application, but for some smaller applications or even for production applications, it would be great to have an option to skip generating test files. I believe most developers use Jhipster to generate a skeleton of the application, and then apply a lot of updates and customizations. With all those changes going in, fixing test code becomes difficult to manage and fix. This has been my experience, not sure how it will be taken. **What problems is JHipster solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Jhipster mostly for generating java backend applications or monolithic full-stack applications with angular for hobby projects. Even though I had to learn the basic technologies - spring, hibernate, spring-security, jwt, etc. - and be comfortable with them, this tool saves a lot of time required for creating boiler-plate code. This is crucial feature for many reasons: (1) reducing project scaffolding overhead, (2) quick "time to market", and (3) retention of software engineers that will deal with the app in the medium to long term. **What do you dislike about JHipster?** A few things could be better on the frontend side (I usually choose React): the generated code could be a little "slimmer" (easier to download) and more succinct. It is also not feasible (at least to me) to reuse/extend React components.
