What is Jenkins used for?

I understand it's open-source, and many plugins and up-gradation are made available always .but just wanted to know if there are any major changes to come in UI/UX part.

We find difficulty while searching the new plugins for the containers and their orchestration.

How is continuous delivery performed when talking about big sized projects which take more time to be built/analyzed etc.

It's not good if you just want a simple build and any other cloud service will do it for you, cheap or free.

I want Jenkins to tell me that the project i am on, has been setup for CI/CD .i am used to Microsoft Project integrating with Visual studio. So my UI eyesight is still a bit sore from my experince.
