I like Jellyfish because it provides one place to go for combining data from Jira and Github, offering good metrics. The metrics display is easy to use, and I appreciate seeing comparisons with other teams and companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Some graphs are affected by outliers. Would be nice to either remove them or be able to change the scale of the graph. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient engineering visibility with minor learning curve"
4/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Jellyfish offers excellent visibility into engineering operations by providing clear metrics around resource allocation, delivery performance, and team alignment with strategic initiatives. Its integrations with tools like Jira and GitHub make it easy to pull in data without any manual effort. The visual dashboards are intuitive and help stakeholders understand engineering productivity in a language that makes sense to both technical and non-technical teams. It’s especially useful for engineering leaders aiming to improve planning, track investments, and justify priorities across business units. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

While the platform is powerful, there’s a learning curve involved especially during the initial setup and dashboard configuration. Some customization options can feel limited unless you’re working closely with their support team. Additionally, depending on how your team structures Jira projects, data hygiene and tagging become crucial, which might require some internal process changes. That said, once set up correctly, the value becomes apparent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy and Useful Metrics"
5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Getting easy metrics for team projects that is easily accessible for managers and engineers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Sometimes the metrics aren't completely the same as internal metrics or teams want to customize and it is not possible. Load times are sometimes long and nightly refreshes aren't as useful as real time updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overview about committed vs delivered work

General DORA metrics showing the evolution of cycle time, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

MCP integration with oauth is missing right now. This would make it far more useful to managers to use with their Agentic platforms.

The planning features don't enable to split by roles further beyond frontend and backend. We support 3 different platforms and as a results we are not using any of the planning features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UI with Improvement Potential"
4/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I like Jellyfish for providing insights to engineering directors and offering better visibility on what's going on in our engineering teams with good allocation metrics. The UI is very friendly and intuitive, which doesn't kick out the user when reading metrics, thanks to a clean and clear experience. The initial setup was quite easy, and the success team worked well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

We miss some basic metrics like issues created and some connections important to us, like Datadog. Just adding these features would be a big plus, and we don't think it would be that hard. We have some Power BI dashboards for metrics Jellyfish doesn't provide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the positive review, Esteban! Glad you're benefitting from insights into allocations as well as software capitalization capabilities.

"Effortless Insights Make Team Planning a Breeze"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

It gives a clear view of where the team’s time and effort are going, which makes planning easier.

I like how simple it is to understand insights without digging through complicated reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Some of the data takes time to update, so the insights aren’t always real-time.

A few parts of the interface feel a bit complex at first and need time to get used to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the positive review, Mayurika! Glad to hear you're benefitting from centralizing all the data on engineering work in one place and from improved planning and internal communication.

"JellyFish review by admi user and data analyst"
4/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I appreciate the platform for the way it allows me to interact. I also enjoy the level of detail in the data that is available. I also enjoy the quality of the support service Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

What I don’t really like is that there’s too much data and too many metrics that might not fit my company. What I’d like is the ability to create metrics based on the data that’s available — maybe something like a metrics builde Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank for sharing your honest feedback with us, Luis! Glad to hear you're finding out platform helpful for maintaining the pulse on team velocity and blockers.

"Efficient Data Insights, Needs Stronger Data Hygiene Tools"
4/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I appreciate how Jellyfish effortlessly captures and automates data signals, translating engineering activity into meaningful insights. This is particularly useful for my role as an Engineering Manager at Paylocity, as it provides visibility into productivity, project allocation, and areas needing improvement. The connection of data across Jira and GitHub offers a clear picture of where our team’s time and effort are focused, making the dashboards intuitive for tracking progress, balancing priorities, and spotting trends. This functionality eliminates the hassle of manually gathering data from various sources. I value how the dashboards facilitate more data-driven and transparent conversations with leadership. The automation of real engineering signals into meaningful metrics, rather than relying on manual reporting, gives me a real-time view of work progress and blockages, which in turn connects day-to-day engineering activities with strategic outcomes—something that would've been difficult to achieve otherwise. Another aspect I really like is the smooth setup process for integrating Jira and GitHub, with effective onboarding support from the Jellyfish team, ensuring quick start of generating insightful dashboards and metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I find that Jellyfish heavily relies on clean data from Jira and GitHub to generate accurate insights. If the data hygiene isn't consistent, the metrics can become misleading, making it difficult to trace where discrepancies originate or why certain metrics appear incorrect. Troubleshooting these issues is time-consuming, and Jellyfish lacks built-in tools to assist with identifying data gaps, suggesting corrections, or guiding teams towards better data configuration. Having additional flexibility to adjust or reclassify signals would make the insights more reliable and actionable, enhancing the platform’s overall effectiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Metrics and Planning, with a Learning Curve for New Users"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Our team originally investigated Jellyfish for it's Software Capitalization capabilities, but found that it provides us with far more. We've been able to drastically reduce the amount of time our LT spends reviewing capitalization, and now have them using Jellyfish metrics (story point efficiency, velocity, cost and HC utilization) to better plan for future sprints and quarters. We're still working on getting our data to the point where we can wholly rely on Jellyfish for planning, but have seen material changes in where we spend our time and how we manage our teams and orgs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Jellyfish has lots of capability spread over many pages, and this means there's a bit of a learning curve for new leaders. Jellyfish is working on an AI assistant to help centralize collection of data, but it isn't ready quite yet. Once this is ready it will make our data easier to find and should allow us to ask questions that aren't on Jellyfish dashboards today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the glowing review! Glad you're making the most of our platform to help your teams with software capitalization as well as supporting teams and unblocking projects.
