I feel the need for deeper root causes analysis could be improved in Jellyfish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential tool for data-driven engineering decision making"
5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Simplified setup: Implementation was surprisingly straightforward and quick

Exceptional technical support: The accompaniment from Jellyfish's technical services team has been excellent throughout the entire process

Advanced functionality: Particularly noteworthy is the new functionality to measure GitHub Copilot adoption and impact, which is proving crucial for our AI adoption plan

Actionable insights: The data allows us to identify specific improvement opportunities and measure the impact of implemented changes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

While Jellyfish provides excellent out-of-the-box dashboards and analytics, I would appreciate more flexibility to create custom operational reports on my own. Currently, most reporting customization requires going through their support team or using their standard templates. Having a more robust self-service report builder or additional customization options for operational metrics would make the platform even more powerful for organizations with specific reporting needs. "How Jellyfish Helped Me Improve as an Engineer"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Jellyfish has truly changed the way I look at engineering performance. As the leading Engineering Management Platform, it brings together signals from Git, Jira, and other tools to provide a comprehensive view of how our engineering teams operate. What I personally love about Jellyfish is the visibility it gives — I can quickly assess not just my own performance, but also see how my teammates are doing. This fosters healthy competition and motivates me to continuously improve.

The ability to align engineering work with broader business goals makes it more than just a metrics dashboard — it’s a strategic tool. From tracking delivery timelines to understanding where effort is being spent, Jellyfish helps ensure we're building the right things, efficiently and on time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I wish there was a comparison view between 2 employees or teams. Even a simple comment for PRs like LGTM is considered a comment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Metrics that you can rely on"
5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I use Jellyfish almost daily, and it’s been an invaluable tool for integrating with Jira. It simplifies pull request tracking, issue cycle monitoring, and effort allocation across the team. The app makes it easy to understand how our team’s time is being spent, which has helped us optimize resource allocation and ensure that work is focused on the highest-priority initiatives—while also preventing team members from being overloaded or underutilized.

The interface is clean and intuitive, which minimizes the learning curve and makes it easy for everyone to access the insights they need without technical hurdles.

I highly recommend Jellyfish to any company looking to streamline their engineering tracking and gain deeper visibility into process bottlenecks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

There’s very little to critique about Jellyfish. The team is consistently responsive, receptive to feedback, and committed to rolling out meaningful new features. Their customer support has also been excellent—always quick to help and genuinely invested in solving any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps me on track and helps with daily work"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

As a senior software dev, I rely on two features daily:

- Activity section. A few times it really saved me when I needed to remember what I was doing last week or even earlier. It's almost like having a work diary without writing one.

- Interaction Chart — it's handy to see who's working on what and who could step in if someone is away. Both features together make it easier to follow what's going on without having to ask around all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I wish there were more slack/email notifications or maybe a weekly summary of starred items.

Also, I've noticed some teammates aren't using Jellyfish to its full potential, likely because they don't see the immediate value, so maybe more training or quick demos would help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Tool for Project Tracking and Efficiency"
5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I appreciate how Jellyfish provides visibility into areas not always apparent in daily operations, allowing us to pinpoint actionable process improvements. The individual metrics are very useful for one-on-ones with developers, helping identify areas for improvement. I love how it integrates well with AI tools like cursor and Copilot, helping track usage statistics and throughput metrics. Jellyfish is extremely beneficial for estimating delivery times and understanding the impact of changes in project scope. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I would make navigation between Jira and Jellyfish a little smoother. Sometimes I think I'm going to click in to see an issue in Jira from Jellyfish, and there are multiple screens in between that view that I don't expect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, Alexis! Love hearing that you are finding our AI Impact insights helpful. I will be sure forward your feedback to our product team about smoother Jira/Jellyfish navigation.

"Great for tracking personal engineering impact!"
4/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Absolutely the best functionality is the ability to drill down into my stats for a given time slice. The granularity in which I can how I performed for a given week is astonishing. Love the different metrics and how they tie back to my work for the week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I wish the was the ability to have custom groups of individuals favorited. It does not appear easy to select all the SR staff engs and then compare their metrics at once. I'd love to be able to do this so I can see where I stack up against the group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback with us. Great to hear that you're benefiting from insights into work allocation. I will be sure to pass your notes to our team for further review!

"Actionable Insights Easier In The Right Environment!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Once all connected and configured, Jellyfish provides easy to use and interpretable insights at every level, across a wide range of metrics & facets of software delivery. We now have reliable metrics that we're using almost daily to drive actions and continuous improvement, we have dedicated support and comms from their team, and they regularly ship new updates and enhancements! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Expect a hefty setup phase to integrate your other systems, onboard and categorise users (although JF has tools to accelerate this process), and some tweaks or inclusions to your team workflows to unlock the full feature set of Jellyfish. And just like any other metrics system, it is only as good as the data it's given, so you may need to evolve your workflows and data collected! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformed Our Engineering Resource Planning and Cross-Team Collaboration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Before Jellyfish, we struggled with three key challenges that have now been addressed:

Resource visibility: We now have complete visibility into how engineering time is allocated between roadmap development versus support, and can track investments by business unit down to specific features.

Strategic alignment: We can ensure our engineering investments align with business priorities and make data-backed decisions on where to increase or decrease investments to better serve customers.

Cross-functional communication: Jellyfish has opened meaningful conversations with executives using engineering benchmarks that compare our performance to similar companies in our industry. This shared language ensures everyone is aligned on business priorities.

The ROI has been significant - by analyzing our investments across business units in 2024, we've been able to confidently plan our 2025 budget with clear visibility into which areas need more or less investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

While Jellyfish has been transformative for our engineering operations, the initial learning curve was steeper than expected. The platform offers so much data and so many features that it took time to determine which metrics were most valuable for our specific business context. For example having a single engineer metrics can lead to cases where one can try and measure engineers on an individual level, for agile teams this is not the way to go. "Great platform to understand where we invest time and to find areas to improve processes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I like they way it tracks work accurately, without effort by engineers. Jellyfish is constantly improving how you can view allocations, progress against deliverables, and team health metrics.

My favorite part is that Jellyfish automates virtually all of the manual work I used to have to do to track Software CapEx!

Our CSM and the Jellyfish team is always quick to help us figure out how to do something new, and to get our feedback on new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

My only feedback is I think we'd get better adoption/buy-in from our product team if there was more transparency/detail how how time/work gets allocated on each team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
