"Great for Visibility and Descriptive Analytics, But Predictive Features Need Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

JF gives at least the illusion of visibility into how our engineering org works. I appreciate that it normalizes over time instead of story points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

JF seems to be good at descriptive analytics, but I haven't grown confident enough in it for it's predictive and prescriptive analytics (e.g. I see wild swings in resource planning which doesn't inspire confidence). I also would like to be able to integrate with people's calendars so we can normalize on how much is someone getting done per working day, not work day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad that you're already seeing improvements in visibility into bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

"Essential tool for data-driven engineering decision making"
5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Simplified setup: Implementation was surprisingly straightforward and quick

Exceptional technical support: The accompaniment from Jellyfish's technical services team has been excellent throughout the entire process

Advanced functionality: Particularly noteworthy is the new functionality to measure GitHub Copilot adoption and impact, which is proving crucial for our AI adoption plan

Actionable insights: The data allows us to identify specific improvement opportunities and measure the impact of implemented changes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

While Jellyfish provides excellent out-of-the-box dashboards and analytics, I would appreciate more flexibility to create custom operational reports on my own. Currently, most reporting customization requires going through their support team or using their standard templates. Having a more robust self-service report builder or additional customization options for operational metrics would make the platform even more powerful for organizations with specific reporting needs. "Great for tracking personal engineering impact!"
4/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Absolutely the best functionality is the ability to drill down into my stats for a given time slice. The granularity in which I can how I performed for a given week is astonishing. Love the different metrics and how they tie back to my work for the week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I wish the was the ability to have custom groups of individuals favorited. It does not appear easy to select all the SR staff engs and then compare their metrics at once. I'd love to be able to do this so I can see where I stack up against the group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformed Our Engineering Resource Planning and Cross-Team Collaboration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Before Jellyfish, we struggled with three key challenges that have now been addressed:

Resource visibility: We now have complete visibility into how engineering time is allocated between roadmap development versus support, and can track investments by business unit down to specific features.

Strategic alignment: We can ensure our engineering investments align with business priorities and make data-backed decisions on where to increase or decrease investments to better serve customers.

Cross-functional communication: Jellyfish has opened meaningful conversations with executives using engineering benchmarks that compare our performance to similar companies in our industry. This shared language ensures everyone is aligned on business priorities.

The ROI has been significant - by analyzing our investments across business units in 2024, we've been able to confidently plan our 2025 budget with clear visibility into which areas need more or less investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

While Jellyfish has been transformative for our engineering operations, the initial learning curve was steeper than expected. The platform offers so much data and so many features that it took time to determine which metrics were most valuable for our specific business context. For example having a single engineer metrics can lead to cases where one can try and measure engineers on an individual level, for agile teams this is not the way to go. "Streamlined and Insightful for Teams"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I really like how Jellyfish makes complex project tracking feel simple. The dashboards are clear, and it’s easy to see where priorities and resources are aligned. It helps connect strategy to execution without feeling overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

The reporting can sometimes feel a little rigid if you want to customize things deeply. It’s great for high-level visibility, but drilling into very specific use cases occasionally takes extra effort. I’d also love to see more integrations with other tools we use day-to-day.
