"Streamlined Project Planning with Intuitive UI"
5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I like the simplicity in Jellyfish's UI and the intuitive features, such as tracking the weekly items I've completed. The Activity page is particularly helpful because it consolidates all the activities I've been working on in a single sprint in one place, so I don't have to search through multiple pages and reports. Also, once I got accustomed to the tool and its features, it became very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I noticed a little bit of friction initially to get the details about Jellyfish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Dashboard, Enhances Productivity Effortlessly"
5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I greatly appreciate Jellyfish's ability to provide a comprehensive dashboard that simplifies the monitoring of team and individual productivity, including metrics, cycle times, and deployment frequencies. This tool has significantly streamlined performance reviews and sprint evaluations. I find the DevOps metrics particularly valuable for assessing deployment success and identifying any team challenges. Its straightforward setup and integration with existing tools have been effortless, allowing us to leverage its full potential from day one. Furthermore, Jellyfish stands out by enhancing productivity tracking more effectively than any other tool we've used, proving indispensable in managing our projects efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I feel the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) could be improved to enhance usability. I also wish there was seamless integration with AI capabilities, such as a chatbot or a feature to summarize individual performance. Currently, checking specific metrics like individual performance over the last six months involves a manual process of filtering data. Incorporating AI features would automate these tasks, making Jellyfish more powerful and easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

"Empowers Engineering Leadership with First-Class Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I find Jellyfish incredibly powerful for understanding engineering workflows and facilitating improvements. Its visualisations and out-of-the-box data exposure empower my engineering managers to elevate their analysis and understanding of their team's flow. The scenario planner is highly valuable in aligning estimates with capacity, aiding productive capacity planning discussions, and, most crucially, understanding when something will be done. Furthermore, the insight derived from using Life Cycle Explorer to identify bottlenecks and enhance team interactions is invaluable. The first-class support from the Jellyfish team, including quick assistance from individuals like Andrey, also significantly enhances my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I find some parts of the user interface not intuitive enough, which could be improved for better user experience. Additionally, while the scenario planning feature is useful, incorporating more embedded tools like milestones and projections would enhance its functionality (Little's Law in particular). The insights provided could also be more actionable by offering suggestions on how to improve areas of friction and better training for users to understand concepts, such as estimates and their role in agility and the SDLC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the glowing review, Greg! Glad to hear you're happy with how Jellyfish is helping you plan better, deliver on time, and empower your teams.

"Practical tool for engineering insights, though data quality depends on integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

As an Engineering Manager at Paylocity, I love how Jellyfish captures and automates data signals to translate them into meaningful engineering metrics. It gives our team visibility into productivity, project allocation, and areas to improve, all in a user-friendly experience. The dashboards make it easy to spot trends and drive better decisions without having to manually piece together data from multiple sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

The biggest challenge is its heavy reliance on GitHub and Jira hygiene to generate accurate insights. If the underlying data isn’t clean, the metrics can become misleading, and it’s not always clear why the numbers are off. Troubleshooting incorrect data takes time, and I wish there were built-in tools to help Engineering Managers quickly pinpoint issues or adjust signals for more reliable insights. A stronger layer of data validation or guidance would make the platform much more powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the positive review, Stanly! Glad to hear you're seeing the benefits of increased visibility into engineering resources and improved capacity planning...and using our platform to stay aligned with business goals.

"Great insights on investment allocation and high-level analysis"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I love the UI and how clearly the information is displayed. It’s easy to filter by teams, divisions, and the company view. The ability to select specific metrics for the team homepage and the investment allocation chart are great. We’ve been using these metrics heavily, especially cycle time, investment allocation, and throughput. Jellyfish has been very useful for driving relevant company decisions. I also value seeing where Epics stand, how many are in progress, and the associated risks and projections. The customer support is outstanding, always available directly on Slack, and the recurring meetings help ensure alignment and maximize our use of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I miss having percentile data in the charts instead of only median and average. I’d like the ability to create custom metrics from raw data and access more Kanban metrics (e.g., cycle time breakdown, aging chart, CFD, Monte Carlo simulations). The lifetime explorer is limited since it only displays items with PRs, which isn’t relevant for us, we want visibility into the full work type of a team.

My strongest criticism is that Jellyfish is too focused on individuals, which can drive misleading analysis by managers. For example, capacity simulations often reduce to “just add people to a project,” which doesn’t reflect the reality of software development. I’d prefer to see the emphasis on team-level effort and delivery capacity, rather than individual metrics like cycle time per person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the honest review, Fernanda! Glad to hear that you're happy with the increased visibility into engineering work and delivery timelines. I will be sure to pass on your notes to our team for consideration.

"Versatile tool for both engineering and strategy product planning"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Jellyfish has become an essential part of my workflow not only to understand engingeering operations but also as help to shaping early product strategy. Its core lies in surfacing engineering metrics but I found immense value using it to estimate new product concepts and MVP efforts as well.

We can set more realistic expectations and improve cross-functional alignment early in concept phase.

The interface is easy to use and various academy courses are helpful if you just starting to use it.

As we work in a product portfolio (over 12 products) the tool helps to bridge the gap between product and engineering in a data-driven, actionable way and allow us to validate whether teams cant take on MVPs without disrupting core roadmap items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Occsionally some learning curve in advanced custom views, but nothing much Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Before Jellyfish, tracking engineering effort across initiatives felt like guesswork. Now, we have clear insights into where our time goes, how it maps to company strategy, and where we can improve efficiency. This has led to more informed decision-making, better prioritization, and measurable gains in delivery speed and predictability. It has also strengthened trust between engineering and leadership teams, since we can now quantify our impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
