"Easy and Useful Metrics"
5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Getting easy metrics for team projects that is easily accessible for managers and engineers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Sometimes the metrics aren't completely the same as internal metrics or teams want to customize and it is not possible. Load times are sometimes long and nightly refreshes aren't as useful as real time updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear Committed vs Delivered Insights and Helpful DORA Metrics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Overview about committed vs delivered work

General DORA metrics showing the evolution of cycle time, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

MCP integration with oauth is missing right now. This would make it far more useful to managers to use with their Agentic platforms.

The planning features don't enable to split by roles further beyond frontend and backend. We support 3 different platforms and as a results we are not using any of the planning features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Insights Make Team Planning a Breeze"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

It gives a clear view of where the team’s time and effort are going, which makes planning easier.

I like how simple it is to understand insights without digging through complicated reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Some of the data takes time to update, so the insights aren’t always real-time.

A few parts of the interface feel a bit complex at first and need time to get used to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the positive review, Mayurika! Glad to hear you're benefitting from centralizing all the data on engineering work in one place and from improved planning and internal communication.

"Powerful Metrics and Planning, with a Learning Curve for New Users"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Our team originally investigated Jellyfish for it's Software Capitalization capabilities, but found that it provides us with far more. We've been able to drastically reduce the amount of time our LT spends reviewing capitalization, and now have them using Jellyfish metrics (story point efficiency, velocity, cost and HC utilization) to better plan for future sprints and quarters. We're still working on getting our data to the point where we can wholly rely on Jellyfish for planning, but have seen material changes in where we spend our time and how we manage our teams and orgs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Jellyfish has lots of capability spread over many pages, and this means there's a bit of a learning curve for new leaders. Jellyfish is working on an AI assistant to help centralize collection of data, but it isn't ready quite yet. Once this is ready it will make our data easier to find and should allow us to ask questions that aren't on Jellyfish dashboards today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the glowing review! Glad you're making the most of our platform to help your teams with software capitalization as well as supporting teams and unblocking projects.

"The best DORA metrics tool out there"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

As an engineering manager Jellyfish helps me enable the correct conversations with other engineering managers and executives. It's not like "oh your issue cycle time so low, your performance is low" but more like "what's making your issue cycle time be low compared to other teams?" Plug in Jira and GitLab. Make it work seamlessly. It works like a charm and we use it every week.

I haven't had to contact customer support yet because I haven't faced bugs. Maybe the only little thing is that some synchronizations take up to 24 hours to be reflected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

Some syncrhonizations take up to 24 hours to be reflected, but that's just something minor given our use is weekly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the glowing review, Esteban! Glad to hear you're benefiting from increased visibility to help with 1:1 conversations and improving team health and developer experience.

"Powerful Productivity Insights, Minor Integration Hiccups"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I like how Jellyfish shows productivity metrics and daily activity. It provides AI usage insights, which are important for our performance. It's useful to get all metrics of tickets, Pull requests, and AI usage details in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

When I want to fetch all the tasks I worked on, it gives me subtasks and it's difficult to get GitHub pull requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the glowing review, Sowmya! Glad to hear you're finding the Jellyfish platform beneficial for planning, proactively identifying bottlenecks, and improving planning.

"Jellyfish enhances strategic decision-making with insightful engineering metrics."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

What I like about Jellyfish is how its engineering metrics surface trends that help us spot issues and opportunities early. It enables more targeted conversations that drive real improvements in operational outcomes. The new DevEx features are especially valuable—they highlight areas of stress or overload, which helps us boost both productivity and developer well-being. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

What I dislike about Jellyfish has mostly been around user administration. Progress has been made to address those concerns, though some work still remains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the honest review, Chris! Glad to hear you're benefitting from greater visibility into engineering metrics, bottlenecks, and misalignments.

"Insightful Team Analytics, Minor Navigation Frustrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Jellyfish allows me to look at the work that my team is doing and identify opportunities for improvement, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies. I use Jellyfish daily, it's part of my morning routine. I also use it during sprint retros to show the team how they're doing on their sprint commitments, etc. At first it was a little daunting to use, but the Jellyfish Academy really helped and now it's become a lot easier to use.

We have a slack channel set up with Jellyfish support and we have questions answered very quickly when they arise. It's been a really good experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

The only thing I don't like is the additional clicks it takes to open things from Jellyfish into Jira. I wish I didn't have to open an additional screen in order to see the "open in jira" button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thank you for the glowing review! Glad to hear you're benefitting from improved insights into team and individual performance and health.

"Great for understanding where engineering effort is spent"
5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

Jellyfish provides the visibility we need for understanding where our development teams are spending their time. It has also helped us to be more aware of JIRA data hygiene, and following best practices for ensuring work items and code PR reviews are properly connected. Equally for managers such as myself, the tool provides a wealth of information for informing individual discussions with team members too.

The scenario planner helps with estimating projections for likely work completion - thereby taking some of the 'guesswork' out of this. This helps inform stakeholders such as product managers as to likely delivery.

The tool is generally easy to use, one of the key aspects during my evaluation and eventual selection of Jellyfish was that it provides the ability to drill into any chart or metric to see the constituent data. The DevEx aspect for gathering information on the 'qualitative' aspects of how development teams work i.e. their 'feeling' about efficiency and good process is up and coming (its not yet as strong as some competitor tools I evaluated) - but this is more than enough for our needs, considering our initial engineering focus is predominantly on quantitative aspects - which is where Jellyfish excels.

Their customer support team is very responsive to any queries or issues, and having a dedicated person as point of contact for advice has been very helpful for us to try and get the most out of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

A couple of features we'd like to have:

- ability to set 'alerts' for specific thresholds e.g. 'large' PRs, though some of the other things we'd be interested in have been covered by the recent Team Pulse feature

- integration with Microsoft 365 calendars (currently only Google is supported)

- integration with HR systems, to pull in team structures & reporting lines Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nour Sadek of Jellyfish

Thanks for taking the time to share your candid thoughts, Chris! Glad to hear you're happy with the wealth and breadth of information our platform provides. Love that you're having to deal with less guesswork when it comes to projections.

"Transforms Engineering into Measurable Value"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Jellyfish?

I like how Jellyfish turns engineering into a measurable business function, not just a technical black box. The initial setup was fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jellyfish?

I think Jellyfish could improve by providing context-aware insights that automatically explain why a metric changes, not just what changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
