**What do you like best about jEdit?**

I get to be able to organize my codes. Different types of codes have their own indicators.

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

Nothing. It's easy to use and very straight forward.

**What problems is jEdit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use and the straight forward method of using it.

**What do you like best about jEdit?**

jEdit is applicable for different programming languages and is open source, therefore, it has a wide variety of extensions. I like its self-suggestion functions as it helps programmers to easily develop the code. I consider that the key point of this editor is that it is free and has several libraries provided by different users to take full advantage of its features.

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

The access keys for entering commands can be confusing and difficult to configure.

**Recommendations to others considering jEdit:**

jEdit is a multilanguage tool, easy to use and with many add-ons for you to experience in your projects. I recommend it for curious people who like to develop their own environment for the development of their projects.

**What problems is jEdit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

jEdit helps me to review codes of the company's SOAP client services with the APIs we are developing. There are great benefits such as highlighting the colors of the code, which gives me better visibility and that I don't miss any variables. It also allows me to install third-party user extensions to customize the application.

**What do you like best about jEdit?**

jEdit has a great advantage that are its complements as its Android plugin to create and execute projects of this platform. Its interface is also great, because it is simplistic and you only have what you need for editing. The best thing is that you can integrate with Git to have version control.

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

jEdit is free, open source, has a large library of plugins and is also available for all platforms such as Windows, Unix, Linux, MacOS and VMS, so I do not dislike anything about this application, I think what it offers It is more than enough.

**Recommendations to others considering jEdit:**

This software has numerous functions and plugins that will facilitate the development of your work. In my opinion, it's great to program in jEditor. I suggest you give it a try and download this editor.

**What problems is jEdit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

jEdit allows me to work faster because it is a light program and has good keyboard shortcuts for easy coding. I can program with its CssEditor plugin to edit CCS elements within this editor that also allows validation. It also allows me to use SQL clients with its DBTerminal plugin.

**What do you like best about jEdit?**

Work on Linux, like Windows editors, not complicated like Vim or others.

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

The use is very RAM intensive. It becomes very slow when I open many windows or documents. :(

**Recommendations to others considering jEdit:**

Easy to use like Windows editors. Java makes it have a nice GUI.

**What do you like best about jEdit?**

jEdit is a text editor with a pleasant user interface with accessible features, topics and commands. It loads quickly even with large documents. I really like that with a few keys you can quickly structure a web code. In addition, it is very easy to take notes and organize the work.

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

A disadvantage that I have found in jEdit is that some add-ons do freeze the software when the save option is used. I also think it is complicated to create keyboard shortcuts.

**Recommendations to others considering jEdit:**

If you are a programmer who likes to try different development environments, you should definitely try jEdit. This editor has new features to code, so I recommend its immediate use.

**What problems is jEdit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

jEdit is my main code editor for the development of HTML, CSS and PHP content on the website of my work in the different sections. I often use its sidebar to copy, crop and paste code, as well as its macro tools to search through directories.

**What do you like best about jEdit?**

jEdit runs on most operating systems such as Linux, Unix, Windows, MacOS and others. It has excellent options as markers to remember positions. The best thing is that you can open n quantity of projects in the same window. In addition, it runs on the Java 6 platform, for lovers of this environment. I also like that there is a lot of documentation online to make the learning curve too short.

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

This software has a clipboard features to copy and paste, however, so far, it has not worked for me, making the work more cumbersome. Also, it has not been possible to install jEdit on Unix, due to a missing package that does not download automatically.

**Recommendations to others considering jEdit:**

This editor has excellent keyboard shortcuts and can be used for different programming languages, especially PHP. It is a software with a great documentation support and is multiplatform. In addition, it is very stable and will surely be of great help. I recommend its implementation.

**What problems is jEdit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

jEdit makes me work comfortably when I am programming thanks to its quick access keys, which are also manipulable, increasing my productivity. I also benefit from the large number of add-ons that are available and that allow me to exploit all the features of the software.

**What do you like best about jEdit?**

A text editor on steroids, runs great with JAVA and comes in a small package.

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

Sometimes the plugin manager can be a little buggy, although this might be an issue with the plugin developers more so than the software.

**What problems is jEdit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping code some basic fixes in our WP based agency website.

I have used this and notepad++. I prefer this one. I use this on my mac and the user face is very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

Nothing so far. I have just switched to using this program.

Easy to use.

How to edit HTML documents. It's making it easier to see other people's errors.

I love the highlighted tags and the ability to add plugins to suit my needs. And because it's written in Java, I can run it on every type of computer I have.

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

I have been unable to find a plugin to do tag autocompletion. Maybe it's out there, but I can't find it. 

**Recommendations to others considering jEdit:**

It's a great editor!

**What problems is jEdit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a website developer and have to constantly edit files, so this meets my needs for everyday work.

**What do you like best about jEdit?**

I love that it automatically highlights the different fragments of code. It makes it very clear to see where you are making errors in your scripts. 

**What do you dislike about jEdit?**

Not very much, it is a savior for scripting for beginners with the different highlighting functions. 

**Recommendations to others considering jEdit:**

Very good for beginner scripting.
