The best part was about generating reports from historical ten years. **What do you dislike about JD Edwards World?** JD Edward's world required a massive part of training hours to understand the primary interface for all recruits, the ERP solution is particular to its format and can not be set according to organization's standard. **What problems is JD Edwards World solving and how is that benefiting you?** JD Edwards was used to creating purchase requisitions, tenders and even purchase orders which helped in expediting the procurement process at Hindustan petroleum, also JD edwards was used for the disbursement of payments as well as tracking and monitoring all projects expenditure. ### 3. Can deal with large volumes of data and also able to upload invoices with numerous lines as opposed to entering the invoice line by line **What do you dislike about JD Edwards World?** I dont dislike anything. I don't think JDE should alter the way they do things. **Recommendations to others considering JD Edwards World:** JDE is an all inclusive package that is fit for both SME and large organisations. I would highly recommend this for the day to day accounting of most organisations **What problems is JD Edwards World solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was saving a lot of time by uploading invoices with numerous lines. A lot of accounting packages allow for entry on a line by line basis only. Not JDE. ### 4. Employees that are used to the system are able to perform well and get their job done efficiently. The cost of ownership is low and we own our systems code and data. We are able to customize the menus and system to suit our needs. **What do you dislike about JD Edwards World?** JD Edwards World runs on the IBM AS400 OS400 environment. The database is DB2 and the code is written in RPG. This makes support and development a challenge with the base being on legacy technology. Web enablement helps in providing a more modern user interface but the native user interface is terminal emulated text. **What problems is JD Edwards World solving and how is that benefiting you?** JD Edwards World was our ERP solution for a number of years. The AS400 system provided a platform for custom programming as well as integration with our ERP data. We solved many problems and found a centralized system to be very beneficial. ### 5. Some programs are good for basic reporting. Its a truly comprehensive ecosystem that handles large enterprise-wide operations with a rich community. **What do you dislike about JD Edwards World?** As with any large program, it can be a bit clumsy in places and feel pieced together with work arounds necessary to handle some situations. Its sort of unavoidable when you have such a large platform. **What problems is JD Edwards World solving and how is that benefiting you?** payroll and time processing for thousands of employees a day to handle many variations of pay accrual, holidays, and state tax regulations. ### 19.
