What do you like best?

At Ngoar we really like working with Jahia Digital Experience Platform (DX) because of it's simplicity, flexibility and ease of use. We've used it to create personalised digital experiences for a range of clients and the results have always been outstanding. The platform is also supported by a great team of professionals behind it who are always immensely proactive and helpful. They clearly really care about what they do and the results that they get.

Its Java based software and flexible architecuture means that it’s very well suited for the sort of enterprise level projects we often deal with where techncial infrastructure and integration may be quite complex.

Ngoar are and have always been technology and platform agnostic but we rate Jahia and Jahia Digital Experience Platform (DX) very highly indeed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Jahia provides all of the capabilities that a modern DX platform should. The contextual content editing experience is better than most products and the recently updated UI was a needed upgrade. Jahia's open architecture, based on industry proven open source frameworks, makes the platform very extensible to be tailored to most use cases. Their recent focus on GraphQL support makes the platform a very viable headless CMS option as well. Jahia support is also above average compared to experience with other vendor support groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Platform documentation for users, developers, and administrators. Out of the box components are a bit dated and have minimal documentation so it is largely self discovery to determine what they do and/or what they can be used for Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Many different scenarios, from globally distributed content authoring, to intranet and extranet, to multi-site solutions and commerce solutions. Jahia has been able to flex to meet most any use case we have considered it for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

We can create and publish articles easily in western and eastern languages, left-to right, right to left. Jahia's developers have been very involved in our ongoing development and because of our work together, new features have been added to DX so every client could benefit. The addition of marketing and promotional tools inside the CMS has been very helpful. There is local technical support I can meet with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The solution is not standard or well used in the media industry so there isn't a wealth of knowledge or user stories we can go to to solve industry-specific problems. We've had to customize the content entry quite a bit in order to do some things that would be standard in other CMS that specific to media and publishing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Have strong J2EE developers with other creative skills, get certified, and have UX and front end folks learn about the system as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The nature of our content and audience require that we publish across many languages, including those that are read from right to left. This needed to be easy for our editors to input and the experience for our web site and mobile users had to be as elegant as the English and left to write language pages. What do you like best?

Doesn't support just content management, we were able to create a fully featured transactional application with built-in content publication. Also, extremely cost effective compared to some of the other products in the marketplace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Some enterprise features were still being worked out when we made the choice, such as SAML integration. But, our systems integrator and Jahia have worked well together to onboard these new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Please meet with this company and give them a chance.

Picking the right system integrator will help, but if you have standard web 2.0 experience, you can easily run this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We need a cms system that would allow us to create multiple sites, with content management capability, but also allowed us to build a high-performant spa transactional application on top.

All in an economical package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

It has a great, page centric experience for the most part. However, I really like where the product is going in support of headless architectures. In particular, the new GraphQL API looks fantastic and I look forward to using it in future solutions. Jahia DX is becoming a Java based Swiss Army Knife and I like it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The current content management UI feels old and slow at times. However, there is a new management UI on the way that looks promising but was not production ready the last time I looked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Delivering SEO oriented content on many different brands with many languages. We mostly serve web content through Jahia DX but also expose content as JSON feeds for different integrations. We appreciate the flexibility and stability the platform has provided over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Love the user interface for this CMS and the easy of usage. Website can be put together and quite easily without having to really have expert knowledge of the tool. Integration to other systems, particularly how we integrate authentication with our user directories is great help.

Jahia also provides great technical support. Their technical support are very knowledgeable and provides above and beyond assistance for our tickets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Search utility can be further improved. While it allows integration to federated search tools, it would be nice if Jahia can provide a powerful search functionality on its own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Provide a centralized platform for all our enterprise applications and enabling our different businesses to build their own content with minimal directions/intervention from IT. Jahia has provided big help on this for our business customers (internal and external). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Jahia has a great background in both Portal and Web Content Management On top that Jahia has showcased that it can delivered and personalize my customer experiences across all my channels faster than with any other solution. I love it! Highly recommend it ! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I do not have much that I dislike much about Jajia, I really haven't come across any problems as of now. We just started using it through the IT department . As of now I will have to leave my answer at that, I am sorry! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I recommend Jahia because not only to they help in the IT department but they use great marketing skills and is very easy to utilize . They all have something called the "Digital Experience Manager" which helps with tech questions you may have. & its multi language friendly! Which helps in my field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I really enjoy the Template designer and Build-in code navigator, it is easy to troubleshoot any obstacles we may come across when talking with our customers as well as creating a visually pleasing template for any documents we may receive. It's a great reflection of our company and what we are capable of.

What do you like best?

I found Jahia DX to be very powerful and extendable. I enoyed developing in the DX becuase I was able to use my favorite IDE. Jahia DX provides out of the box syncing into the platform so I was able to see my changes as I developed. Also, DX provides a rich development IDE within the platform with Git integrations. I used both methods depending on the customization when doing rapid development. Jahia DX provides a component store front to allow sharing of custom components to other sites. The component package can be activated per site to allow only those sites to use the components.

Another great thing about the platform, I was able to add the organization's database of users as an authentication provider into DX. DX has the abilities to authenticate against multiple stores of users/groups. This can be enabled for one or many sites. The same API that enables the external users integration also allows for content syndication from external systems into DX. The content is pulled into DX to be placed on to pages and search by users. I found that to be very useful since there was content in other content stores that needed to be presented to the customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

What I think Jahia needs to improve on is the dated authoring experience. Any authoring changes requires a page reload which can be slow if over the network. Probably the reason for the page reload is that CSS & JS are generated based on the components on the page. However, this still needs to be improved for organizations that have authors around the globe. Code or platform patch deployment to a clustered system can be improved as well.

Another thing Jahia can improve is providing more, better documentation especially in-context to the platform. This is an enterprise platform so an untrained developer or lack of documentation can result in a poor deployment and lead to system degradation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Jahia DX provides both in-context editing and headless if this a requirement. If you have multiple external systems to integrate with, DX provides APIs for clean integrations. The ability to permission components, users, authors is very powerful in DX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The business problem we are trying to solve using DX is to enable Marketing execute campaigns quicker. Using Jahia Marketing Factory, Marketing is able to personalize, A/B test to get the measurements needed to make any adjustments to their campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Out of the box, Jahia contains your basic CMS platform at a price that won't cost you an arm and leg like some other Enterprise platforms. I think the power of it really lies in the ability to develop and deploy powerful custom modules quickly and safely. From a user standpoint, the interface is easy to navigate and feels comfortable for content editors.

I've had some experience with the Marketing Factory which seems like it can be very useful and powerful for marketing teams but I haven't really had a chance to dig in yet. It seems like this is something that could really compete with the other data collection and personalization tool suites that currently exist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see more components included with Jahia out of the box. I would also like to see some of the components that come with jahia have a better UI. Some of the components really feel oudated. We worked around this by adding our stylesheets, but even just having some sort of modern UI would've sufficed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
