## JabRef Reviews
  ### 1. JabRef is a great tool to interface your BibTeX reference database

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christophe L. | Bioinformatics Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2017

**What do you like best about JabRef?**

I really like the simplicity and easy access to the BibTeX database with easy integration. I really love this software.

**What do you dislike about JabRef?**

Sadly, it is not very collaborative friendly. Also the GUI could be slightly more user friendly, but it does work as it is.

**Recommendations to others considering JabRef:**

If you work with BibTeX format for your LaTeX documents, this is a must have! Give it a try and you won't want to use anything else.

**What problems is JabRef solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to interface my library of papers to integrate in my manuscript written in LaTeX. It is a really useful tool to vizualize and manage your BibTeX library with a rather simplistic GUI.

  ### 2. JabRef is best for managing bibliography in scientific writing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subhradeep R. | PhD Candidate, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about JabRef?**

Its simple, drag and drop. Then it automatically generates the bibliography. This is the only product I have used, and I like it so much.

**What do you dislike about JabRef?**

It is not free!! It would be much better if there is subscription for students. I use it in my lab which is paid by my advisor. If there is a free option I can use it for my personal use as well.

**Recommendations to others considering JabRef:**

It is simple and easy. Perfect for scientific writing.

**What problems is JabRef solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a researcher I have to write a lot of journal and conference articles, This has made my life so easy. In our group, we all use the same software.
