"iWave: Reliable Prospect Research"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

The amount of data available for prospect research is one of iWave’s biggest strengths. iWave is one of the most widely used and reliable resources when I’m conducting prospect research, and it’s always a tool I turn to during my research process. The database is fairly easy to use and navigate, which makes it practical for day-to-day work. I also sometimes find information on iWave that I can’t find elsewhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I’ve noticed data discrepancies between what iWave lists and what the source shows, especially around gift information. For example, iWave may list a gift as an annual gift, while the source indicates it was a cumulative gift. I’ve also seen similar mismatches with gift amounts. I also noticed that iWave doesn't not include all gifts. There are gifts I come across in the news that is not included in iWave results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances Donor Engagement with Precision"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I really like the wealth screening data feature of iWave, especially the RFM and iWave scores. These scores, along with suggestions for cultivation and engagement, are very helpful. We can import this data into our CRM and include it in our fundraising reporting, which helps our frontline fundraisers and CPO make better decisions for gift asks. This has been particularly useful for understanding the capacity of donors, especially major gifts from high-net-worth individuals. Also, the initial setup of iWave was very easy, which was great. "Top-Notch Support for Integrating Wealth Screening Data into Our CRM"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

They provide top notch customer service! I am especially appreciative of how they have walked me through how to successfully integrate wealth screening data into our CRM. It helps with automatically refreshing donor profiles that are integrated in our CRM with a click of a button. Their pricing and limitation in creating unique contracts for organizations like ours who do not need as many credits to screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"iWave Helps Us Build Our Major Donor Pipeline"
4/5
What do you like best about iWave?

We are a new organization, so we are building out our funder pipeline - including foundations, corporate, and individuals. I use this platform a lot at different periods of time when I'm working on prospecting.

We have used iWave to build our prospect list, which has lead to a few good leads as we build out our individual giving program. It's also been useful in finding contact information for corporate and foundations folks. From some of these lists, we did an email campaign series last year and figured out who was opening our emails, we were then able to utilize the screening feature to get more wealth screening information. This did help us strategize our approaches for 2026.

Customer support is always very quick to respond which I really appreciate.

Further, we pay four our members subscriptions. Many of them find the tool helpful for screening current donors; however, they have had also had issues with building out prospect lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

Contact information is sparse and often incorrect, even with the new Appends feature. As a new organization building out our major donor pipeline, we really need good, solid contact information. The prospect listing has also not been helpful in narrowing down our search for folks that support abortion. One of the reasons we chose this platform over others was that we could narrow down the filers, but when we narrow down no donors appear.

The tool hasn't been lucrative in building out an extensive new pipeline of foundations or corporations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We appreciate your feedback on contact information and search filters—it’s valuable as we work to improve the platform.

What do you like best about iWave?

volume of helpful info and ability to filter it for your particular organization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

It's difficult to find training and info about how to use iwave. The info is there on the website but difficult to find. Also, it can be difficult arranging time to speak to your account rep who helps with iwave questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly, but Salesforce Integration and Accuracy Need Major Improvements"
2/5
What do you like best about iWave?

It’s user-friendly, especially when it comes to usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

In my experience, it doesn’t integrate seamlessly with Salesforce. I’ve also found it to be less accurate than other wealth screening tools. It doesn’t really support multi-lenses in an agile, practical way, which limits how useful it is day to day. At times, when I try to pull an updated score in Salesforce, it just buffers and never actually refreshes. Overall, the ROI hasn’t felt worth the price, and the AI features seem either nonexistent or not useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User friendly, robust info"

What do you like best about iWave?

It's user-friendly, easy to navigate, and has robust info Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

Inability to download company information if the employee roster is large, need to put in Canadian city when conducting a smart search, the inability to filter and then download company rosters (e.g., I may only want executive level employees not all 1000 workers including admin assistants) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Critical Tool for Efficient Donor Management"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I like how user-friendly iWave is because it required very little 'skilling up' before I could start using it effectively. The approachability and accessibility of our iWave rep, Jeremy, is something I appreciate as he's always willing to help us brainstorm ways to leverage iWave for our goals. I also find that iWave's insights are easy to present to a senior leader and are snappy, to the point, and easily digestible. The strategic advantage means I can focus on donors with potential to be major supporters quickly. Plus, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

The only thing that comes to mind is the geographic barriers. Our organization is trying to diversify our fundraising revenue outside the US and Canada, so iWave's geographic limitations mean we can't leverage this platform for our new pivot into outside fundraising markets. "Fast, Insightful 360° View with Handy Address-Based Real Estate Search"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I like the 360 view that gives me real estate, philanthropy, and other key data quickly. I also think real estate searching by address is a useful tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I would prefer more customization around capacity ratings. For instance, our shop uses full (non-investment property) real estate values sometimes to extrapolate likely wealth whereas your methodology takes mortgages i to account, so we have to recalculate for our purposes. "Powerful Donor Insights, Needs Better Training"
4/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I like the easy-to-use search in iWave, along with the quick search results. I appreciate the interface and the profiles you can create, which give me accurate information about the donors I'm looking up. I find it valuable to confirm where they have given, how much they have given, and the type of gift. Another great feature I enjoy is the ability to look up real estate the donor owns, allowing me to see the transaction history of the real estate property and check if the donor owns multiple properties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I don't know all the features for iWave. I feel like there can be more training offered for this. Maybe having a recent search history feature so in case the search is lost, you can click back in rather than re-entering everything back in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
