## iWave Reviews
  ### 1. My starting place for every research project

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan M. | Prospect Development Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2016

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The most helpful feature to iWave PRO is the consolidation of multiple sources under one location. Getting a capacity (wealth) rating from the information you find is incredibly valuable. With 360 Search, I can take a first name and address and in most cases find career, home value and philanthropic inclinations all at once. When I am searching out new territories for gift officers, I want to know that the prospects I submit present have the capacity we need to make the a viable. I get that confidence when I search in iWave PRO.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I struggled most with the learning curve to ensure that I was gathering the correct and complete information on a prospect. The training sessions helped give some creative search ideas. Ultimately, iWave PRO can be a blunt instrument as it does not give any confidence ratings to the results, it simply returns them en masse.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

iWave is a comprehensive tool that is easy to navigate and provides an abundance of information for you to consume. Take the time to use the demo credits and discover the potential sitting in your database.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a one person researching unit. I support five fundraisers with my efforts. Time savings is an obvious benefit to my organization. We have also increased our ask amounts in proposals because we have a more complete picture of our donors and their willingness and ability to give. Nothing can replace an in person visit, but the information I can gather helps secure that first visit more consistently and confidently.

  ### 2. iWave is a fantastic product!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Performing Arts | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave is easy to use, the customer support is fabulous, and it integrates with our CRM database, Tessitura, which is extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I'm struggling to think of anything I dislike. Sometimes it's not completely clear how the data is generated, but whenever I have questions, our customer service rep is extremely helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

It's really a great product with an amazing support team. I highly recommend it.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use iWave to identify prospects within our database and to learn more about new donors. It's certainly not the only metric we use, but it does help us organize our lists.

  ### 3. Our favorite database

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

One of the biggest upsides of iWave is the flexibility and variety of uses. Being able to screen a full list and pull out the "hidden gems" using the ProScreen feature is just a small sliver of what this database can do. I find it extremely helpful for generating leads and building prospect lists as well.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Some people at our organization have found that iWave's interface is not very intuitive, so it takes a little while to learn and get proficient with. This is really the only drawback!

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, our organization was doing all of our research using Google because we didn't find that databases were worth the investment. When we found iWave, we realized that it captured all of the most salient information on our prospects in one place and made it very easy to access and record.

  ### 4. Great, user-friendly product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle L. | Director of Advancement Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I am not a professional researcher, but do a majority of the prospect research for my organization. iWave is easy to use and by far the most efficient product available to those of us who wear multiple hats but need to provide accurate and thorough information to our colleagues.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Truthfully, there isn't anything I dislike about iWave. If I had to specify one challenge, it would be convincing everyone that we don't need the host of services and subscriptions that we once did to collect all of the information on a prospect.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made the research process much simpler and efficient for our office.

  ### 5. iWave is a great platform and budget friendly!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruth G. | Associate Director of Advancement Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I have used iWave at 4 different organizations over the course of my career, and each time I have been quite pleased with it. In all four cases we chose to go with iWave because it was budget friendly, and was able to provide us with access to the information that we needed. Over the years iWave has kept up with the industry by improving their product and offering new services, such as batch screening of records. These improvement and additions of services have only made the product more effective and price-competitive over the years. I also much give high praises to their customer service. I have not needed to call them often, but I always get through to someone with very little wait time and they are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with. You cannot put a price the feeling you get knowing that a call to iWave customer service will be a good experience (and not some nightmare of waiting on hold only to be transferred numerous times, which then required retelling your issue to every new person who takes the call).

Another perk to using iWave is that their data also covers Canada. My organization is in New England, and being able to search Canadian data is more than just an occasional need, so having access to that data within iWave has made my job just that much easier.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Perhaps the only downside to iWave is that it is not entirely "one-stop shopping", meaning that I do need to have one or two other online subscription services to get everything that I need in order to do comprehensive prospect research work for the university that I work for. On the plus side, I have spoken with our account rep at iWave about this and they said that they will bring it up to their team. With that level of proactive response to me voicing my needs to them, I am hopeful that they will consider the possibility/feasibility of providing those additional services in the future.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

For those looking at iWave, I would strongly recommend going through the demo with a rep from iWave to see all of the features and options that are available and asking them all of the questions you have. Once you decide to go with them, getting your account set up will be very easy. Also, having done numerous wealth screening with a variety of vendors over the last 20 years of my career, I can honestly say they their wealth screenings are the easiest to set up and use of any that I have ever worked with.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iWave has not simply allowed me to stay within our departmental budget for resources, but it is a powerful tool that I use often when I need to do prospect research on specific individuals. I have also used their 360 search to search for our alumni based on the names that our university has gone by (formerly we were a college) and we uncovered a couple promising prospects who we did not have employment data on, but through that search we found that they help high level positions in larger publicly held companies. I also like the ease of using iWave, it is quite user friendly and intuitive.

Using the batch screening option via their ProScreen portion of the iWave subscription has also bee very helpful. Setting up and deploying a batch screening is the quite easy, and I can update records that we previously screened easily.

  ### 6. iWave Get's the Job Done with 1 Log in

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan B. | Assistant Vice President Development and Alumni Relations at The New School, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave's platform is very user-friendly and intuitive. I appreciate the fact that I can type in the name and find resources from ZoomInfo, Property Records, SEC Filings, Foundation Relationships, Charitable Giving all in one spot. I also like that I can drill into these areas and find more information as well as the source documents for the information iWave presents.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I find it confusing when iWave presents the same giving capacity for prospect after prospect that I research. It feels more of a default stat and though I don't depend on the platform to determine the ratings, I know that some shops would and I find that to be misleading and not a value add for all users.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

If you have been using the same vendor for many years, I think it is worth the risk to try another vendor. At the end of the day, all research tools have their strengths and weaknesses. I find that iWave is one of the stronger tools on the market for Prospect Development to use as their primary resource for determining specific sources of wealth and demographic information.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With one log-in, I get get the basic information and lay the groundwork for drafting a profile for major gift officers and senior leadership. I also appreciate the information that iWave presents that leads me to other significant sources of wealth than I would have suspected for the prospect.

  ### 7. iWave Rocks! Super Easy to Use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather M. | Communications Manager, Public Relations and Communications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I love how iWave compiles the information, it's easy to read and full of value. I love the Get Score feature as well. That is so helpful when you're in a rush!

I also love how you can see the history of property transactions. That is extremely helpful to see when you're trying to understand if someone has gotten a divorce, has passed away, etc.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I wish a few of the databases were updated more frequently. I also wish that individuals who are deceased were marked as such. Perhaps an obituary section would be helpful?

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

I highly recommend iWave. My team has had such a great experience using the platform. I love how all the information is compiled, the reports are easy to export and read, and how fantastic customer support is. I'd encourage any user to take advantage of the support and the virtual resources so you have a full picture of how to best use iWave in your organization.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to gather invaluable information on our board members, high-level donors, volunteers, and other external stakeholders that were not well-known by my organization. It's amazing to see how the information is compiled and how helpful it is in compiling a major gift ask.

  ### 8. Ease of us!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel L. | Analyst, Prospect Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

As a one-man shop, I wear many hats so it is crucial that I have a level of trust in the product and also a comfort level with great customer service! iWave provides a user friendly interface. It's a one-stop shop for uncovering wealth indicator, philanthropic data and biographical information on our donors and prospects. One of my favorite functions in the iWave function is the "Foundations/Charities" module. The ease of use to aggregate foundation data is so helpful! We have cut down on hours of time reviewing individual 990s because the iWave module automates that data for us! We have also cut down on hours of time when reviewing annual reports and collecting donor information. With iWave's personal library of donations, we are able to built a robust prospecting pool for the work that we do at The San Diego Foundation.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Although user-friendly, the interface for iWave is very antiquated. The data output is great, but the presentation of the data could use more "animation" and "color." The database is great, but the interface could use a complete refresh to stay current with other platforms such as WealthEngine and Relationship Science.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Please test out the product. The iWave team is ready to help users test out the product first before they buy it. I worked with a very friendly business development team members and he made sure I was taken care of and all my questions were answered.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems that we solve with iWave is locating who our top prospects are! My favorite feature on iWave is CoreLogic search function. I'm able to quickly uncover prospects that owns many property in less than a minute through iWave's easy and intuitive search function.

  ### 9. Our first stop resource

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The amount of data collected in iWave is comprehensive while not being overwhelming. It is often our first stop after a quick Google to narrow scope and really start to dig into a prospect.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

There can sometimes be a lag between when foundation filings show up on the CRA website and when they get indexed into iWave.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use iWave screening to help optimize gift officer portfolios by prioritizing prospects in identification.

  ### 10. IWave is a great and easy to use product for Prospect Development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura W. | Associate Director of Prospect Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The Real Estate tab is my favorite. I can put in an address and no name and find other properties associated with it. A great resource.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Would like it to be easier to qualify the prospect when doing a list. It takes a bit to get used to what needs to be done for each entry.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great for uncovering new prospects for specific groups of people when we have projects needing funding.

  ### 11. Game changer for fundraising!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The latest features which provide recommendations to cultivate and steward each donor based on their records.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

So far I haven't found anything I dislike

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What has been most helpful is being able to do one-off searches when a new donor gives which helps me determine how best to cultivate them.

  ### 12. Invaluable Time Saving Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I like the 360 Search tool, if I am trying to screen a prospect for information on capacity and giving history or likely interests it is a great snapshot with a lot of information in one place. The information seems to be kept better up to date and recent that other donor research platforms I've used and it is easy to organize the information provided in a useful manner, i.e. by largest gift or by most recent gift etc.
I am also not constrained by just looking within my home country I can look at information for potential international prospects and the information that is pulled can often lead me to new information and other connections of interest.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I'm aware there are likely more powerful tools available to me within the iWave platform than I am currently using, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to access training tools and tips on how to get the most out of the different tabs and tools. A library of short tutorials on different parts of iWave and how it can be used in prospect research would be great.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Have at least one person on your team who is able to spend additional time getting to know the program and the various tools available. It is great as a quick dive in tool but if someone can invest additional time getting to really know it your team will get a lot more out of the experience

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are looking to build out our pipeline which needs a massive overhaul and a refresh. iWave is a great tool to be able to quickly screen names - both existing contacts and new prospects to see where we should be focusing our efforts. iWave has helped me gain a better understanding of some of the names that are already known to us and has allowed me to identify in some cases that the capacity for a larger gift than expected is there, as well as a demonstrated interest in the area that we work in which was suspected but still unknown at the time.

  ### 13. Essential product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave is easy to navigate. The insights scores helps us to prioritize our time, focusing in on hidden gems, our champions, and those not a prospect at this time.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I have found nothing to dislike about iWave.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is great to be able to use this tool to find and verify contact information.

  ### 14. It's been incredibly efficient and offers multiple options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sasha M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

Intuitive and user friendly which gives me sufficient and timely information

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Nothing - I like iWave Pro as it is and find it useful

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A

  ### 15. I really like iWave!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

What I like best about iWave is that I can find a wealth of information about an individual in one convenient place online. This saves me time as a researcher.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

On the Internet through a Google search, I recently researched individuals who made financial contributions to the Trump/Pence campaign and found a list of such contributors. However, when I looked up the political contributions of these individuals in iWave, iWave very often did not list these specific contributions. Why? Is iWave owned by some left-wingers?

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Definitely check out iWave. I believe after you use it during a free trial period that the company offers, you will be hooked!

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our nonprofit uses iWave in its fundraising efforts. We enjoy the benefit of researching prospects in iWave because it provides us with a lot of useful information about a prospect and his or her potential capacity to make a financial contribution to our organization. This research gives us the confidence to ask for meetings with these prospects, to summarize the mission and accomplishments of our organization, and to "ask" these prospects directly for financial contributions to our nonprofit. In a nutshell, iWave enables us to tailor our "ask" to each prospect.

  ### 16. Love iWave

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karl S. | Prospect Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The real estate search function is easy to use and almost always helps connect me to the information I need. I like being able to quickly capture information and export it in profiles and pdfs that I can use as evidence for my wealth estimates. All of the other search functions available are also useful for generating leads.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Searches for political giving almost never turn up all of the information that is available, especially for state and local contributions. Donations also don't come up as they would in Noza either. iWave seems to want to be good at everything, but it really only shines when it comes to real estate. The rest is there, which is great, but it's never good enough on its own to make the use of other, more specialized sources unnecessary when those sources are available.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Use the real estate tab as much as you can! Try an address, just try a last name. It's really amazing what you can find there.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iWave can solve most of my research problems. If I was stranded on an island and had to do prospect research with only one tool (an absurd scenario, granted) - that tool would be iWave, though Lexis Nexis would be very dearly missed. The two work very well together. Since real estate is the most important thing we search for, however, and iWave does it best, iWave is the best, and I think this job would be pretty awful without it.

  ### 17. Great product that helps me get work done

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh I. | Prospect Research Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave's 360 search uncovers the information on prospects I need. It is much more thorough than other services I've used in the past. Our organization has been able to cancel other subscriptions because iWave handles them better.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

The wealth screen capabilities are not the most intuitive and it will take some time to set up. But once up and running, iWave's wealth screening has worked wonders for my organization.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

I advise anyone looking to consider iWave to get a trial and see just how much information you can get for your organization.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iWave is helping my organization identify high net worth individuals who are already connected to our organization and who have the capacity to increase their giving. It has also helped identify other people who fit a custom profile of potential donors. If you are in the prospect research field, weather at a non-profit, college or university, or like organizations, you should really consider using iWave. It is worth very much the space on the budget to include iWave as a tool. Make sure you have a dedicated person to use it to its fullest potential and not let it's abilities go to waste.

  ### 18. Excellent Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron K. | Database Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The platform is easy to use, the program overall is intuitive and easy to learn, there is a host of training material, and it easily integrates with Salesforce (which we use). The speed that we can move data from iWave into Salesforce is excellent. The iWave report summaries are also excellent, providing a good mix between high-level info and particular targeted data.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

No scoring distinction between hard and liquid assets, so "capacity" can be a bit misleading depending on the donor's assets. In addition, while the online module is excellent and well-designed, the ability to quickly print profiles to give to development/advancement personnel when preparing for a visit is cumbersome and slow to create.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Keep in mind that iWave's scoring system makes no differentiation between hard and liquid assets. So while the capacity of a person may be extremely high, the capacity may not be easily liquifiable, so be realistic as regards how long it may take/effort it may take to get that amount.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Priority of contact for donors, prospecting which donors to court for greater giving. As a small non-profit we've been using iWave for about 6 months, and we've already seen success in using the combination of the iWave and RFM scores to assist in targeting.

  ### 19. Great for prospect research and aggregating data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave is a great one-stop shop for gathering data. Whether it's political donations, philanthropic activity, board roles, real estate--the list goes on and on, iWave is an easy place to start the research process. I always find the data to be reliable, and even if I'm verifying elsewhere, I generally find that iWave is the most up-to-date of all of the research tools.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I don't have many complaints about iWave. I wish the contact data was a little bit more reliable/up to date.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

I'd say if you're looking mainly at individuals, iWave is just as good, if not better than a bunch of the other prospect research tools available. While it doesn't have user-created data (i.e. net worth information or relationships), it does tell you a great deal, and especially if you are a researcher looking to infer the aforementioned information for yourself, iWave is a great place to start.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By aggregating countless annual reports, iWave has helped prospect researchers endlessly. In the old days, we'd have to go through a ton of annual reports, and even then, if someone had a remotely common name--good luck figuring out their giving history. With iWave, not only does it aggregate all the names, it also shows where the organizations are located and what they do, so in instances where the donor has a common name, the researcher can use deductive reasoning to narrow down which donations are likely from the person they're looking at.

  ### 20. We use iWave because it integrates so well with NeonCRM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg F. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2019

**What do you like best about iWave?**

We're a small shop with a big fundraising goal, both for capital and operating. We are able to use iWave directly from our NeonCRM, saving time from bounding back and forth between software products. That said, we find iWave a really good tool for prospecting outside our current donor base. It is easy for us to import prospects into our system for moves management.

iWave tips, white papers, and instruction videos are easy to follow. I've been a prospect researcher and fundraising executive for several decades. iWave does for our small shop what Higher Ed groups use several people to accomplish.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Did have an issue with a batch screening. Emailed and received an immediate call back to discuss the particulars and ensure that iWave's tech team was working on an immediate solution.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a capital project where costs increased dramatically after we thought we had achieved our goal. iWave screening helped us reach deeper into our current donor base to find 'Hidden Gems" to cultivate and solicit. This reinvigorated our Steering Committee and we are back on track to reach our financial goal on time.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I love that in one location I can look up person, company, foundation, etc. information. I can save those searches to link them up later or go ahead and combine them in a printed profile!

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I cannot think of anything that I dislike about iWave.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Don't Walk...RUN!!! It will be your best decision ever!!

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our lack for finding corporate/foundations to contact in the past - so much easier now!

  ### 23. Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I really enjoy the simplicity of navigating iWave and the depth of information. You are easily able to see the scope you desire, whether that is very detailed or big picture. I have also had wonderful experiences with my salesperson at iWave.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Sometimes I have difficulty narrowing down searches on common names.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

I would recommend taking a demo on iWave, there are a lot of little tricks that are very helpful to learn.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iWave has been very useful in preliminary prospect research for a capital campaign. I have learned that there is so much more to be learned through iWave because each hyperlink leads to new information.

  ### 24. Why iWave is my top research tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenny A. | Prospect Development, Fund-Raising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2019

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I love how easy it is to navigate around the site and I feel that I can trust the information that I collect for my profiles. My development officers love the format of the profiles - especially having both the ProScore and RFM score.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I wish some of the data sources would update more often but do not hold iWave accountable for that. For that reason, I will check multiple sites on some areas of research.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

After researching most of the options for research tools, I feel that iWave is the best for the quality of the product, excellent customer service and reasonable pricing. I would highly recommend iWave to anyone and have already done so many times.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a one-man shop, I wear many hats so it is crucial that I have a level of trust in the product and also a comfort level with great customer service. From our sales rep at the beginning of this process to the Client Success manager that helps me fine tune my understanding of the software, every touch point I have with iWave has been positive! I am able to easily find the data I need on a prospect and produce a valuable profile for the fulfillment of our mission.

  ### 25. User friendly and comprehensive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave is a comprehensive tool that's great for big and small research shops. It's robust and the 360 tool is great for a snapshot of a prospect that pulls together the information we need to make an assessment and also some hints and strings to pull at for more in-depth research. The categories are easy to separate out and the ability to export (SEC info, donations, etc.) into a spreadsheet is helpful.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I find myself double-checking real estate information in other resources quite often, and similarly I would like to be able to add in multiple locations to capture second-home addresses/locations. Enhanced contact information would be helpful, too (phone numbers, email)

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, personally, having the 360 tab is a great launchpad. I can accomplish a quick qualification from that page. We've had several projects where we've wanted to get quick qualifications and basic research in on large swaths of donors/prospects, and it would have been far more tedious and time consuming if not for the capabilities of iWave.

  ### 26. I like the previous version better, but the new one isn't bad

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I like that I still can retrieve the same information as the previous version.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

You can only export to CSV, but not DOC or PDF. It's good to have options.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

iWave is essential for gathering information on potential prospects and/or donors.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are no changes.

  ### 27. Overall impressive system weighed down by metrics

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The interface is generally easy to use, I particularly liked the ability to quickly download data into excel for analysis. There was also a basic data analysis course offered from the people at iWave that was good!

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Data is slow to populate into iWave and requests for more data or for assistance generally take a week for more to get back.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Excel, basic statistical software programs

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identifying potential donors, prioritizing donors based on a variety of factors.

  ### 28. iWave is a wonderful timesaving data gathering tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The ability to search multiple data sources at one time, and also the ability to refine searches for greater precision. This enables our organization to best answer the questions about our major donor prospects: How likely are they to give, and how much would they be likely to give. Related giving to other charities is one of our favorite qualifiers.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Not much to dislike about iWave. But sometimes I have trouble finding or confirming real property ownership and stock ownership.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Consider all features and functions in comparison with other vendors

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not experiencing very many problems with iWave, other than having enough time to use it! It has helped us develop realistic solicitation strategies and expectations with numerous major donors.

  ### 29. Director of A.S.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The friendly use of the system and one stop shopping

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Wish the matching gift area did more like screening

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Test it with other services and compare

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Screening of incoming parents. Elimantes manual work

  ### 30. Great Salesforce Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave integrates smoothly and quickly with Salesforce. It's easy to set up and configure and syncs both ways, allowing users to quickly verify and validate data. End users have been very happy with the product, learning more about their donors and who to focus on for stewardship as they move into a new fundraising campaign.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Given many non-profits use iWave and look at donors as a household, rather than an individual, it would be nice to see functionality in iWave that looks to the Household Account. Small things like brining the giving range over to Salesforce as one field and including configuration to roll iWave data on the the household account would also help.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

It's a powerful tool and helpful for non-profits looking to better understand their donor base.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Development officers are better able to uncover hidden gems in the current pool of donors - those who have lapsed or give a small give but have the potential to give much more.

  ### 31. iWave is a great first place to look

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William T. | Prospect & Research Management Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave combines a lot of different sources and resources to obtain information. They also provide a screening service for batch operations.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Some of the information can be dated. Not sure if that is iWave's fault.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding gifts to other non-profits. Also locating other employment information. The ability to search by alma mater has turned up several good potential prospects.

  ### 32. iWave Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

Great layout; really nice user interface

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Exporting data; does not always translate to a CSV file

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really helpful for learning more information about prospects.

  ### 33. Howard's Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

Donation database is what I like best ...

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Exporting results ..................................

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

I have no recommendations at this time

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Indispensable tool for prospect research

  ### 34. Easy to use, navigate, good concatenation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I find that iWave has good concatenation and I often find items that I have not seen in other databases while researching and prospecting.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Sometimes you need to adjust the number of lines or you will notice the text of the bottom line of each section is cut in half

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing else aside from the text issue described above

  ### 35. The Ultimate Tool to find donor information

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The 360 search is very useful for finding everything you need about a prosepective or current donor

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I wish there was more up-to-date information on donors retirement or addresses. Or a way to differentiate people with the same name Or a function to include a prospects maiden name as well.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made my search for donors home value much easier and more accurate than ever before :)

  ### 36. High Quality Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave helps us discern what is or isn't accurate about our data as well as finding the hidden gems in our prospect pool.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

It would be nice if there were more mobile features and accessibility.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

iWave is very affordable for what it offers. The demo is worthwhile and they offer multiyear promotions that have steeper discounts.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had numerous wealth screenings but didn't trust the accuracy. With iWave, we're better able to drill down on people and control the accuracy of the tool.

  ### 37. I love iWave

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The real estate information. I love that I can find out the relationship between the owners of the property.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Not much. I really like the easy layout, the easy search features.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can find real estate in iwave that I can't find anywhere else. I can also group search and stack individuals, businesses, etc.

  ### 38. 20-year Prospect Researcher/iWave Fan

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The product is easy to use, consistently reliable and offers a comprehensive array of tools.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

If there’s a weakness with iWave, it’s one that’s shared by all research tools. Private company valuation could be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Price, flexibility, customer service and reliability have made iWave my #1 research tool for many years.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I perform research for a wide range of nonprofits. The flexibility that iWave offers allows me to answer research needs for all of my clients - large and small.

  ### 39. Overall Very Satisfied

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The ease of use and good information that it elicits.
I like the tools for example that allow you to see a donor and then who else lives on their street etc

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Sometimes I get a bit frustrated trying to locate MY donor from the lists of people with the same names. As I am fairly new to iWave, I still feel I have a lot to learn, I am probably not maximizing my usage as of yet.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Definitely learning more about our donors, who they are and their wealth. It allows me to figure out who is who, who is worth possible cultivation.

  ### 40. Best all around product for a cost concious shop

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles S. | Senior Director Prospect Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The variety of resources and the continual work to improve.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Recently after login I get pushed to another screen and I like to start on the 360 search screen.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

iWave has many resources under one product. It is cost effective and something my team uses daily although we have numerous other products including Lexis, DonorSearch, WealthEngine and NewsBank.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have had no problems with the product

  ### 41. The best of these services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

Remarkably extensive and deep data about other philanthropy

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Not a thing. It's a superb program and tremendous help.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building prospect pool; huge help in qualifying prospects

  ### 42. Useful but could be better

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J N. | Regional Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2019

**What do you like best about iWave?**

If someone is a very charitable giver, iwave is great. It will pull a large portion of giving history, net worth, and political giving, Then, it is able to formulate a rating of how strong of a prospect they are. If people are a4 on i wave (the highest ranking) they are a hot prospect and we want to contact them ASAP

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

The issue with iwave is it is not very expansive. If you have only given a little bit here or there, it doesn't have enough info to pull up information on you. If I were just to look up myself (or someone similarly situated) there is insignificant data.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Good enough, but if you could find something better (where it can dig deeper into someone's financial history) that would be better

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use iwave to judge how likely a future donor (aka a prospect) is to give to us. If someone is highly rated we know they are more predisposed to giving to an organization like us

  ### 43. Find Your Answers with iWAVE

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

The customer service and the chat window are very quick and helpful.
The information is easy to compile into a profile.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Don't feel this is a downside or bad reflection on iWAVE but it is often heard to keen in on certain prospects because of a common name.
I wish there was better way to realize the salary or estimate of salary based on a job title or description.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding our prospects desires for their philanthropy.

  ### 44. Overall positive but room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

Iwave has a generally impressive desktop and easy to use features. I also really like the classes, but it can be hard to extract data and the response time is also slow.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

See above. Response time is slow and data is hard to extract.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identifying donors for the university. Building models.

  ### 45. iwave

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

Rating prospects

  ### 46. A key tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I like the format/layout. particularly the 360 search, which is one-stop shopping with findings broken down under clear headings.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Sometimes information about the wrong person appear in your search results...I think this may originate with ZoomInfo, as it is a webcrawler.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love the Alma Mater field that allows me to zero in on our grads. Also, the PROScreen offering is a great option.

  ### 47. Efficient and effective searching

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2018

**What do you like best about iWave?**

I value the ability to quickly pull details on individuals and organizations as well as link to the source details

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

The limited ability to sort results generated

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Based on my experience with other systems, I would recommend iWave for the ability to review information in an efficient manner.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to research individuals potential capacity and giving history

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about iWave?**

iWave is more accurate than other tools.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

I don't dislike anything about iWave. It's my preferred prospect research tool.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding great contact info in ZoomInfo! Finding 990s that are otherwise unavailable in Guidestar! Excellent giving info in Verigift!

  ### 49. Good for donor/prospect research, not quite as comprehensive as Nexis products

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2019

**What do you like best about iWave?**

Ease of use and clickability. Ability to easily search by company name or person name. Ability to filter results to find only certain job titles. Ability to find email addresses.

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Navigation can be a little clunky at times, especially when toggling back and forth between people searching and company search. Real property data can be incomplete for multiple property ownership. Charitable giving not quite as comprehensive as NOZA.

**Recommendations to others considering iWave:**

Check price vs. Nexis DevPro. iWave is a good product but may be superfluous for smaller orgs with tight budgets.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding contacts at businesses and quick lookups of donors by name. Realized benefit of more efficient search process than Nexis.

  ### 50. Simply the best!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua I. | Assistant Director of Development , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2019

**What do you like best about iWave?**

As an indigenous organization and fairly new to the software, I can attest that it is au courant, easy and accurate - makes life simple and easy when doing research!

**What do you dislike about iWave?**

Perhaps it's my mac but each time I scroll down too fast, I lose all the information and have to restart.

**What problems is iWave solving and how is that benefiting you?**
