"Best Terminal client"
5/5
What do you like best about iTerm2?

It is easy to use, easy to customise and gives the user the true experience of a unix terminal, The password manager feature makes it safer to use,Being able to color code tabs makes it easier to identify your workspace when working with multiple tabs. The fact that its open source there is continuous improvement on the application. Automatic profile switching is also a great feature. If ever you loose a connection to a server you can easily use the restart session feature and this will ensure you do not loose history of the work you have been doing. The feature for showing timestamps makes it easier to follow up on what you have done and gives you details of exactly when you did it. What do you dislike about iTerm2?

One thing that can be improved is the update process where it in most cases does not automatically update the application.Another cool feature for this would be the ability to open a folder in finder from the terminal,This can go a long way in improving how users interact with the software. "Fantastic Upgrade from Apple's Terminal"
5/5
What do you like best about iTerm2?

iTerm allows you to do just about anything that you would want with your terminal. You can set up different window arrangements, shortcuts, visual customizations, support for oh-my-zsh and other plugins, fonts that utilize glyphs for git, and much more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iTerm2?

My only substantial complaint with iTerm is that it is difficult to work through the settings/preferences. Luckily, there are plenty of articles online to walk you through just about anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Free software with lots of utility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iTerm2?

Lots of customizations, like opening new tabs in the same directory, plenty of themes online for iterm colors, fast, unlimited history scrollback. Being able to use my mouse to edit a long command in between is invaluable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iTerm2?

My only gripe is that the unlimited scrollback for history doesn't always seem to work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best replacement for default Mac Terminal app"
5/5
What do you like best about iTerm2?

It has really awesome built-in autocomplete feature and tabbed navigation. It is as easy to use as regular Terminal app, and it comes all ready to go out of the box without any additional customizations. iTerm2's visual style is highly customizable, so you can adjust it anyway you want it to be whether it is different colour scheme, font, transparency etc. What I also like about it compare to different Terminal replacement apps is the fact that is completely free to use, and that it is open source application with great support and constant updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iTerm2?

Honestly, there is nothing that I don't like about it. I wish that it was a default version for Terminal on all Macs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"For a better experience than the default terminal"
5/5
What do you like best about iTerm2?

iTerm2 offers lots of freedom in customization, and has the potential to look beautiful and make you more productive than with the default terminal. iTerm2 is a very decent successor to the older iTerm, and it's being continually improved, with almost weekly updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iTerm2?

Because there's a ton of customization, sometimes navigating the menus can get bothersome, and finding a setting you need is not so easy unless you use Google to look for help, which I often have to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Only Term I Use"
5/5
What do you like best about iTerm2?

I tend to have a lot of logs or processes I need to run via Terminal. iTerm allows for this easily by having multiple windows available within the same tab. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iTerm2?

Out of the box, it's pretty solid. I have a lot of customization that I need to perform in order to get it up to how I like it, and the Preferences section can be a little counter-intuitive at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
