Iterable was reasonably well appreciated by our internal engineers as a tool that was easy enough to pipe data into and work with. The UX of the journey building system is easy to understand, and even if it needs refinement, it is an 'easier' solution for smaller teams who require less flexibility or more advanced features. Iterable, especially contrasted against industry mainstay competitors (eg, Braze, Salesforce, etc) falls short in its feature set. It simply isn't as robust as its counterparts, and even things like A/B testing functionality have hurdles involved within their journey builder that simply do not exist on other platforms. I found our account management representatives to be particularly unflexible and difficult to work with, and contrasting to other providers, Iterable is comparatively a small cost savings, but not nearly enough to justify the significant downgrade in quality and features. I find Iterable's APIs to be easy to use, which is a significant positive aspect for me as it facilitates seamless integration and interaction with different systems. Additionally, during the initial setup of Iterable, the process was acceptable and the onboarding experience was fine, indicating a well-organized and efficient approach to getting users started with the platform. This aspect helps in harmonizing setup across various systems within a group, showing Iterable's capability to accommodate diverse configurations and streamline operations. I am frustrated with the integration of Digioh as a third-party tool with Iterable, which causes immense frustration due to its complexity and lack of transparency. The fact that it's a massive file to load and the instructions around it being not intuitive or 'you just have to do it this way' does not fit the profile of an acceptable enterprise solution. This inconsistency in ease of use compared to Iterable’s technology represents a significant downside. Furthermore, the unexpected requirement to use Digioh halfway through the onboarding process was not acceptable, and this reliance on a third-party tool makes it impossible for me to recommend Iterable confidently. I don't like that Iterable lacks A/B testing and proper holdout functionality in their Journey feature. It also misses basic features like drop and hold testing, and they require a manual workaround that is cumbersome. Additionally, the company enforced an auto-renewal in full just three days after the window, which was frustrating. They even harassed employees with personal phone calls, which felt unprofessional and pushy. The initial setup wasn't easy. Overall, I would look for alternative providers in the future. The tool itself works well. My team is able to manage multiple campaigns at once. We take advantage of the multiple projects feature, which is great for the way my company works. That's almost all of the letters. What are we doing here? Now they are adding in another form of additional authentication on top of that? I'm emailing our users, not the Pentagon. If you have a huge dev team that can do a lot of the work, then I think it could be great and really flexible -- few guide rails to stop you from anything custom you want. If you are light on resources and looking for simplicity, it's not for you. It took months just to get the basic tracking and implementation done, and you have to go through their university to get trained on things that other products allow you to click a button on.
