Good experience with ISOtrain **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Hans G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023 **What do you like best about ISOtrain?** Application Management perspective ISOtrain has been implemented 6 years ago within Synthon and transformed our organisation from a mostly paper based system into a reliable electronic Learning Management System. With the help of Softek we were able to establish a solid interface with our Document Management System (DMS). This interfaces fully automates all new, updated or retired documents from our DMS in ISOtrain. End User Perspective From End Users perspective ISOtrain is very user friendly. Training Coordinator (TC) perspective ISOtrain offers strong functionality to group Courses logically together in so called Modules. Modules can also be grouped together in a so called Curriculum. A Curriculum can be compared with a Job Training Program. Once the Modules and Curricula are available in ISOtrain, these easily can be assigned to (new) Employees which we see as very powerfull. **What do you dislike about ISOtrain?** Application Management perspective ISOtrain is a stable application without much issues. ISOtrain (and related software) incidents can be reported to Softek via their Support Portal. In general Softek offers quick response times on Incidents, but especially for low critical Incidents the resolve times are to long (years). This is also my experience for Enhancement Requests which never see (until now) the day of light. The support we have from the Softek Support Portal is good. They give quick response and are friendly. End User Perspective Besides the ISOtrain interface who needs an refresh, no complaints from 1600 End users Training Coordinator (TC) perspective Within Synthon we do have a lot of Training Coordinator. New Training Coordinator experience ISOtrain as difficult. **What problems is ISOtrain solving and how is that benefiting you?** We moved from a paper based system into a full paperless system. Much more efficiency has been achieved and a direct overview of the qualification status of all employees with a few steps. Absolutely great ### 2. Easiest training system i ever used and training reports are the nicest format to present to auditors. **What do you dislike about ISOtrain?** It can be very tedious to perform data entry. Data entry individuals needed to be identified for each department so there was need for a good amount of resources to be dedicated to keep it up to date. **What problems is ISOtrain solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy reporting on training. Great oversight function to tell people to.perform tasks before overdue. Very good at managing complicated training program. ### 3. Helped us assign and keep track of trainings required for each person's job. **What do you dislike about ISOtrain?** Was a bit cumbersome to modify modules based on various departments, but could workaround by creating new modules instead. **What problems is ISOtrain solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reports enable us to see whose training is not up to date, allowed us to easily add new courses to multiple people by adding to a module ### 4.
