It is a great tool to manage you ISM in a structured way and allows you to work through and cover all the areas required for compliance. It has some very useful features that make is user friendly for all member of the company and is very good at creating tasks to ensure things are kept on top of. Integration with confluence, it would be really handy to be able to Iframe some reports or create dashboards that could be linked to report on the topics of interest for management meetings. It solves the issue of managing and approving policies and keeps them all in a structured framework. The linking feature to other topics or areas are also very good, the inclusion of attached documents when using policy packs is also very handy so that users do not need to navigate a file directory to locate a specific instruction set or forms. Keeping track of user compliance when issuing policies is a great feature as there are always a few who need a nudge. Setting up ISO27001 was a simple easy to follow procedure with sufficient guidance throughout the process. Whilst we as a company do not use all the areas available the ones we do use are well laid out and have assisted in the set up and follow up throughout our implementation and reviews. We have been able to build out a team approach quickly as ISMS.online is easy to learn and become productive with almost immediately. We do appreciate that the ISMS can be the source of truth for our records and the tools included with the product have added value to our organization. The expertise from our consultant has been incredibly useful - and we have improved our existing policies in the migration/implementation. In all honesty - I really don't like the UI and technical side of the product. Formatting within the policy box is time consuming and doesn't match with other applications - and so it is an unnecessary skill to have to learn that CTRL + 8 = bullet point, as an example. I have seen lots of resources online where people have 8 page documents for each policy, and it becomes difficult to manage. By holding all InfoSec policies and areas - including a Supplier area, Risk Map, OFI's, etc. - we are able to quickly navigate between content without having to go through an 80 page word document. We've been using ISMS.online for 4+ years, and without it to manage our ISO27001 compliance - we'd be lost. The tool provides everything you need - from Risk Registers, to various project tracks to keep on top of to-do lists, it has everything. We utitlise many portions of the platform, and particularly find the structure of policies, and how you can build relationships across multiple sections of the system, which helps you build a bigger picture of how certain policies and controls influence other aspects of your information security system. We had an Excel spreadsheet as a Risk Register but when this became too big, we needed something else that would help us to be more organised, to ensure each risk owner is identified and is responsible for reviewing the risks regularly. ISMS.online does really well and is a lot less complicated than others we have seen. We are now able to allocate the risk/task to an individual/owner.
