"Easy for Non-IT Teams—Makes Access and Onboarding Hassle-Free"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

Easy to use, even for non-IT people in the business. When we run into access issues or need to onboard a new starter onto an existing machine, IRU makes the process straightforward and hassle-free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I don’t really have anything I dislike. There are a few areas that could still be improved, but overall they’ve listened to feedback and have implemented changes well over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Device Management with Fast Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

I find Iru easy to understand and use, which reduces admin friction and workloads. The help-desk staff is outstanding, always providing excellent support. I really like being able to create pre-built and custom library items for various device blueprints, which makes device management incredibly fast and easy. The ability to create conditional mapping of library items using metadata tags enables another level of custom control, which is very valuable. The initial setup was incredibly easy, as it took just a few minutes to get started with a basic blueprint with EDR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I'd like to see more expansion of their prebuilt library items. Their helpdesk is not open on weekends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Mac Management and Fast Support with Iru"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

I love the simplicity of using Iru, which makes managing blueprints very easy. The application is always up to date, and the UX/UI is well thought out, which is really a plus. I also find that the support from the Iru team is quick and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

It is not possible for variables like the competitor Jamf Pro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Mac Management with Robust Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

I like Iru's user interface because it's very straightforward, making the software easy to understand despite being quite powerful. It's great for coordinating with my ISV and outside IT consultant because they can access everything they need. I also appreciate that if there's ever an issue, I can log in to Iru and identify the specific computer or IP address causing the problem, which helps in coordinating with my IT service provider and cybersecurity consultant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

It really only works well with Apple systems, like Macs and iPhones. We have one user with an Android phone, and it's cheaper for us to replace her phone with an iPhone than to do some VI solution. If you have a hybrid system, I don't think it works nearly as well. Also, we still have to use other products, like Okta, for identity management. It would be ideal if it could be one product. "Effortless Mac MDM with Autoapps That Keep Everything Up to Date"
5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

Very easy to use. Absolutely effortless MDM for Mac devices in particular. Autoapps are a lifersaver. Keeping apps up to date using something like Intune is such a pain. Happy to see there is an active desire to listen to new feature requests, and that they have expanded to Windows devices last year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Some documentation is unclear about what IS automated by Iru, and what is not. I would love for more in-depth reporting of devices within our estate, and finer, more granual controls over what cannot be installed by users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Implementation and Easy Migration Automation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

It truly shows. I spend less time in the portal than I did with our previous MDM solution. It took me about a week to understand the basic workflows, and then less than two weeks to have something fully implemented and ready for migration. Their migration automation was very easy to use, and it created a good end-user experience on our side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I wouldn’t say I dislike it, but I was hoping new features—such as the simplified PSSO—would be available, and that we could use Dynamic SCEP instead of Static or even the ability to select either or. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Navigate Dashboard with Quick, Helpful Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Iru?

I really like the easy-to-navigate dashboard, and I appreciate the quick response times when I have questions or need support through their iru support chat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I wish there was a more structured onboarding experience, similar to Jamf. Specifically, it would be helpful to have guided setup steps, clearer documentation on key features, and more intuitive in-app instructions or walkthroughs. Right now, it can take some trial and error to understand how everything fits together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scales in Complexity according to our needs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

The MDM is easy to use, and its complexity can scale according to the needs of the organization. An essential tool in our Apple device fleet Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Pushing a one-off change to a single device is more complicated than it needs to be, and the UI doesn’t consistently show who owns the device across all GUIs. On top of that, some devices don’t seem to pick up their proper name and end up with a generic “MacBook Pro” label, which makes them hard to identify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Setup, Strong Mac Self-Service—But Windows and One-Off Tasks Need Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

What I liked best were a few key things. First, the setup was easy—we were able to get devices enrolled within minutes. I also really liked the Blueprint design and its conditional logic, which makes it straightforward to set up user self-service. The self-service portal is another highlight, since it’s nice not having to babysit every install request. Finally, the built-in App Library is exhaustive (for Mac). Customer support is also very responsive. If the AI agent can't provide an answer they'll connect to you a real human. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

There are a few shortcomings we’ve noticed. Windows support still has a long way to go, especially when you compare it to the features available on Mac. There also isn’t an easy way to run a one-off command or open a remote terminal. Finally, making one-off changes can feel cumbersome because of the blueprint and app library setup.
