Worst ERP I've ever used. This is the worst ERP EVER. **What do you dislike about DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP?** Horrible reporting - we've been told the reports are meant for "viewing" only and not for export, but even their canned reports can't be read/"viewed" because the formatting is absolute GARBAGE (I wish I was allowed to post a screenshot). They said that if we want to change the canned reports, it will cost us more. Even then, if we change or have them change the canned reports, every time the system goes through an update, the revised/custom reports disappear. The canned reports' summed totals also often do not "tie" to the actual numbers reported in the columns. That is just unbelievable to me. Secondly, the navigation paths and end-user experience are super frustrating and nonsensical. Examples - pop up boxes for dates to enter the "posting" dates of transactions on a report when you've already entered the parameters of a report's posting period. The dates are sometimes formatted one way, sometimes another. And the popup box has to be clicked to type in it. Why not just have the cursor default to the place where you need to enter the following data piece? You can't tab through anything. We have LISTS of problems with this system, and they are all things they admit are frustrating but not "problems". If it's frustrating, how is that not considered a problem? In the journal entries, you have to enter dates like a bunch of times... one for the posting month (makes sense), then one for the date of the journal (ok...) , and then one for EACH LINE ITEM in the JE. Why the heck would any line items have a date different from the date of the JE? Also, if you accidentally post in the wrong month, which you have to select a date to post it even though you've already chosen a posting month in the beginning, you cannot easily fix or edit or undo it. You have to do a JE to reverse the error and a new JE to correct it. This is so archaic and absolutely ridiculous. There are ways to create audit trails in most systems, so you have a record of the edit being done. I don't have enough time to list all the problems with this system. But trust me when I say RUN, DON'T WALK as far away from implementing this garbage ERP as fast as you can. **Recommendations to others considering DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP:** Just don't. You'll be sorry. **What problems is DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** The sytem creates more problems than it solves and we are looking to move off of it as quickly as possibe. No benefits whatsoever of using this. ### 2. Crystal reports is an easy to use report writer. IQMS was designed /focused on the injection molding plastics industry and has functionality to support this industry. Molding cycle times, cavities, etc. **What do you dislike about DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP?** ERP systems usually support many different departments (Finance, Operations, IT, Engineering, Quality, Document Control, Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Control, etc). Designers of ERP systems usually have a habit of making some modules stronger than others. This is where you can have an ERP system that favors Finance, or Quality, or Purchasing, or Engineering, etc. It is unusual to have an ERP system be strong (or user-friendly) in all modules. My primary role in using IQMS is for the supply chain. I have used many different MRP/ERP systems over the last 25 years. Every MRP/ERP system that I have used in the past based it's Planning Module on fundamentals defined by APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society). IQMS is the exception and that is not a good thing. 1. Missing Horizontal Planning Report or view. 2. Missing Pegging Report or view. 3. Missing ability to print/export all single-level or multi-level BOMs (Bill of Materials) at once. 4. Forecast or Planned Orders must be brought into the Factory Schedule to been seen. Which creates noise in the Factory Schedule. 5. If your company is a manufacturing company and heavily uses BOMs and MRP functionality, I would NOT recommend IQMS. Standard Reports are horrible. Every Standard report uses indented formatting. This is ok if you are printing and reading a report. For the last 25 years, I have always dumped reports into excel to review data. The indented formatting of the standard reports makes the data unusable. We have had to customize almost all reports to create "Flat File" that could be dumped into excel and easily used. **Recommendations to others considering DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP:** IQMS does not have strong Supply Chain functionality and does not follow standard methods as defined by APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society). DO NOT CONSIDER implementing. Chose a different ERP system if basic Supply Chain Functionality is a requirement. **What problems is DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** IQMS has some functionality that solves issues involved in the injection molding industry. ### 3. Once your organization gets used to it- there is no stopping. We were fortunate enough to be able to give a lot of input on the development of the system. There are numerous benefits that have been noticed including faster response times to approving sales orders and ordering accurate amounts of materials off the material exceptions list. It also allows you to keep quotes and POs that are sent from clients. It did take a while for me to get use to but after using it I was able to learn. It can help you with everyday task and can pull tags to help you better analyze what functionality is capability of being tweak to increase efficient in your processes. **What do you dislike about DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP?** Because there is so much to offer IQMS can be a little overwhelming at first. If you are a first time user and you are use to your old programs it has a learning curve. You are not always allowed to set up all your short cuts or tools to help you accomplish whatever task you are set out to do. **Recommendations to others considering DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP:** IQMS has lots to offer and with all the tutorials and live chats with service people you are able to fully understand the power of the software. It can be tailored to fit anyone and everyone's needs from accounting, to production, to warehousing, to quality, and everything in between! This software was designed by people that really know the plastics industry and it shows in everything about this product. **What do you dislike about DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP?** One of the biggest struggles my company has with this software, is that there is so many details and buttons that we have no idea what they do. It can be very easy to get lost in the details and go down a rabbit hole all day trying to find out what the click of one toggle button can do! However on the bright side, IQMS has fantastic support over the phone, through Team Viewer software, and also in the software. **Recommendations to others considering DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP:** If you need a a software to manage even just one aspect of your company, IQMS can likely solve your issues and fair warning, they may get you addicted to their easy to use GUI's and the shear amount of data you can view in Real-Time **What problems is DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use this software for every section of our company. From the time we get a PO to manufacture a part, all they way through the delivery of the order we have complete trace ability of everything from the raw material used to make the product, to when the customer is consuming these goods. One of the largest benefits I have realized as a Quality manager, is that completing corrective actions and customer interactions is a breeze by being able to help a customer with any issues they have with our product, if they can give the slightest detail about what box or order the parts came out of. From there, I can trace down to the exact box the bad part was in, see who was running the machine, see what raw material was used, and be able to update the customer with feedback in a few minutes of what may have caused the bad product! ### 33. IQMS combined our accounting and manufacturing systems. This allowed us to gain greater insight into our costs or manufacturing. It allows us to drill down from a Bill of Materials to individual materials to check if items are in stock very easily. ### 34.
