The API is extremely easy to implement into my projects. I primarily use it to geolocate users on contact forms so I do not have to ask additional questions. It is incredibly easy to use by simply passing along the IP address and your API Key and in most cases, it will return a JSON response. Very rarely does it not return a response based but in those circumstances, the user is usually using a VPN. **What do you dislike about ipstack?** On occasion, it has taken longer than usual to return a response. I mostly have regarded this as heavy traffic to the server. There has also been some rare instances where the incorrect city would be returned during testing. for example my IP address would occasionally show a larger nearby city compared to where I am actually at. **What problems is ipstack solving and how is that benefiting you?** When users submit contact forms, I want to capture as much information as I can without having to ask a ton of questions. For instance, I ask for name, email, phone, and the user's message. Using ipstack and my server's ability to capture the IP address used when submitting the form, I can gather additional geolocation details to have an idea of where the user is submitting from. We needed a simple geolocation service that's easy to integrate into our systems and provides accurate results for user's country, language, and currency. The integration itself took no more than an hour and the geolocation results are very accurate with almost zero mistakes, unless the visitor is using a VPN or something. We are using only the most basic features of their API but that’s all we require and its working like it should. Overall, I would definitely recommend ipstack to anyone looking for a reliable geolocation API. It's easy to integrate, gets the job done and the pricing is fair too. **What do you dislike about ipstack?** ipstack offers 4 subscription plans, each suited according to the number of requests you plan to use. We have chosen the PROFESSIONAL plan, which provides 500,000 requests per month. While this seems like a big number, we noticed that the requests are increasing and not matching our data records of users. We then discovered that crawlers are not excluded, and each time a bot visits a specific page, it counts as a request from ipstack's side. So, my only suggestion for ipstack is to consider adding an option to exclude robots and crawlers from consuming your credit requests.
